Terrible experience here! The shop is cluttered, dirty and the waiting room is miserable. I went in with my own car starter that I bought elsewhere to get installed and the girl at the desk immediately started selling me on their own products to buy even though I already had one in hand. That should have been my first sign to go elsewhere, but they offered to install it cheaper than anywhere else. They needed the day to install it so I picked up next day to find that when I clicked the UNLOCK button, it locked my doors, and when I clicked the LOCK button it unlocked my doors. Instead of just offering to correct the problem, she started telling me that it was working right when they tested it before and that it's now the remote starters fault that it's not working anymore! She also actually had the nerve to say, "If you went with one of our products, this wouldn't have happened!" I became very firm with her and said that it needs to be fixed or I'm taking my business elsewhere. I also called the manufacturer of my remote starter and was told that there were two wires that were crossed to the wrong terminals and that it would be impossible for it to have worked before and then it just inverse itself now. I agreed and told her that it needed to be fixed. She reluctantly went into the shop to speak to the technician, and he came out all angry and rude. He opened my car and started flipping wires around, and in the same time was having an argument in Spanish with the girl who works there... and right in front of me, the customer! I can't even remember if I've seen such piss poor customer service. Ultimately, the remote start was installed and works. There were some wires hanging out of my dash, which I had to push back in myself... and there's also a dirty foot print on my leather seat, and for some odd reason, my right headlight is no longer working. I should have just refused to pay for this awful service, but the job was completed so I did. THIS PLACE IS TRASH, I was recommended by family member I had few issues car radio and remote start 1. The remote was not improperly installed and told the schumk what happen and he told me oh you told me to pair up well yea and make sure it pair and working. This where it get worst I had issue with my car radio iPhone USB adapter told him and he didn't fixed shit. He told me to take it where I got installed and I'm like wait so what point having shop if dumbass sending me some where else. All he did was reset it and smiled at me. I typically do not practice writing bad reviews against any business l'v experience awful service, however l must make an exception with this place!!! To save time: 1. l was scheduled to get over $1,500.00 of work done to my vehicle. 2. The sales lady advised I would have to leave the car overnight because of the custom work requested. 3. I asked for a invoice outlining the services and costs to "not only" serve as proof purchased, but to make sure the scope of work is correct. 4.The manager seemed confused and irritated by my request, so he advised his daughter to assist me. "So l'm expected to leave my expensive classical car overnight without a receipt of any kind" l thought to myself... Yeah I think not!!!! 5. The daughter advised me her printer wasn't working, handed me a scribbled on piece of scratch paper and ask me to take a picture of it!!! No business name or needed info to serve me as a potential paying customer !!! LMFAO!!! At that point l thought I'm out of here, advising her that l will find services else where. She said no it will be okay and her father screamed " GET OUT I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR YOU! Horrible people. I got a car radio installed and the man was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Cursing infront of my 8 year old sister and even refusing to hand over the keys because I didn't agree with his price! The radio to my car worked for one week and then just stopped working when I took it and asked if he could check it out he immediately got defensive and said he would not cover anything unless it was his fault and that it was probably my speakers and that he has to open all my door and for that he has to charge... I took it to a buddy and it turns out some cables were loose and now my radio is working...these people are rats!!! read more

Honestly, I'm not really sure why this place has such bad reviews but it's only a few. My dad brought my car here a couple of years ago (maybe 3 or 4) to get an alarm and remote starter as a present to me. That alarm system and remote starter still works fine to this day. We recently purchased a 2014 Jeep Patriot and also brought it here about 2 weeks ago. The owner has his two daughters as the clerks for the place and they really do explain their stuff and know what they are talking about. The owner came and also spoke to us and explained how we had to purchase a module to bypass the code in the key that goes with the Jeep. We did and purchased an alarm/remote starter. Because of the length of installation we dropped off the truck on a Saturday afternoon and picked it up by 11 am the next morning. Very poor customer service!!! came in to upgrade my already existing system And was given a price quote for the installation by the so-called technician and I was cool with it, my car was pulled in to the installation Bay at 10:30 and I was told it would take 3 hours for the worked to be completed which I didn't understand because all I was doing was swapping 1 amp out and installing two others with two batteries mind you my battery is located in the trunk of the car... neither the less my car was not completed until 6:30 that evening.... and the so-called technician did a horrible job once I express my concerns to the so-called technician he got irate and told me there is nothing more he can do so instead of coming to some kind of conclusion the man literally rip everything out of my trunk,took all the wiring back and just threw everything that was installed in the trunk and did not reconnect my existing system, walked inside of his business told the service rep to call the police and for me to get off the property because he was ready to go home please do not do business with this sound shop, unprofessional staff, and basic knowledge of installing sounds the install had wiring visible everywhere in the trunk and it looked like speaker wire for your house don't waste your time I sure did! 10/11/2020 read more

I went to Universal Car Alarm & Sound Systems to have a remote starter installed and to get the automatic locks on my driver and passenger door fixed. A man claiming to be the store manager by the name of Justino took my order. I told him about my car and told him there was a factory alarm on my car and the remote I currently have only works to lock and unlock the car doors. He insisted that based on what the computer said "I did not have a factory alarm on my car". So I went ahead and paid and I told him I was off of work and I was in no rush. He had my car for over 4 1/2 hours to do this service, I dropped my car off around 1:45 p.m. and the car was not finished until about 6:30. So when I picked up my car he was nowhere in sight, a young kid came out and showed me how the remote works and showed me that the locks on driver and passenger car were working so I left with my car. Later that evening when it got dark, I noticed that the lights on my dashboard were not working, and my night lights were not working either. So I was a little upset and I called the shop and spoke to Justino. Justino started arguing with me and talking over me, in fact, he would not even let me speak. He stated that it was MY FAULT and that I did not understand what he explained to me and that I was in a rush to pick up my car which is completely false. He told me that he disconnected my factory alarm and that is why my lights weren't working so they did not even bother to check my car before they handed it to me to make sure everything was working properly. Now keep in mind, he disconnected the alarm that he stated I did not have?? Also, he did this without my authorization. He was extremely patronizing and stated that he simply disconnected the alarm he did not throw it away. It was like speaking to a cave man, very rude and unprofessional. When I asked to speak to the owner, he stated he WAS THE OWNER, AFTER HE HAD TOLD ME HE WAS THE STORE MANAGER???? What is wrong with this picture and how are these people running a business. I went back the following day and he wouldn't even talk to me, he send his receptionist and a yound kid to take care of me. When I finally picked up my car 1 hour later, they stated everything was my fault and the kid started arguing with my in a very rude manner and when I told him he was being rude he walked away from me. My boyfriend is livid and stated they treated me this way because I am a woman because they would have never done this to a man, in fact he wanted to come back with me but I didn't want him to miss work. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE IGNORANT PEOPLE AGAIN, PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE AND IF YOU DO BE CAREFUL. I am going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Follow up: 3/4/16 - Now what is happening is that my car is starting to die down on me. I took my car to the shop and they told me that whoever installed my remote starter did it incorrectly and that there might be a mix up with the Toyota security system in my car that is related to the remote starter so my car thinks someone is trying to break in and it shuts the car down while I am driving. They suggested I need to get this remote starter removed and have it reinstalled by someone who actually knows what they are doing in order for this to stop happening. I purchased an alarm system for my truck from Universal Car Alarm & Sound Systems. The sales people were very helpful and informative about all of the products they carried. My remote for my alarm malfunctioned almost days after the installation, I returned to the facility where I was accused of trying to scam them, they accused me of damaging the remote and refused to look at it without being compensated. I was told; I needed to purchase a new remote for $150, because the $430 that I paid only weeks before...that included a warranty, did not cover the problem with my alarm. I thought it over and contemplated paying the $150, but before I threw good money after bad, I decided to go to another shop for a second opinion... This shop not only detected and fixed the problem with my alarm he did it in 5 minutes, and charged me nothing. In the future I would advise anyone who is considering doing business with this company, BEWARE, STEER CLEAR OF THIS BUSINESS!!! read more

These people are so unprofessional. I call and ask do they have any alarms and a specific kind I was told yes, but when I get there the 2 or 3 alarms that they had were pre used. So I told the guy that was there I would like to see a new alarm and he showed me one. So when I started looking to make sure all components was there he just snatch box and tell me go to another store. He was quick to sell me garbage but when he learned I was a technician he did not want to serve me. Cause the first boxes he showed me had components missing. Terrible experience when I decided to instal my car alarm system in this shop. It was a wrong decision. When I ask for the prices and options the person who was there a short Latino male person was kind of rude and with an aptitude. He offers me a very expensive viper system. He talked too much offering the product. I told him I'm going to think about it and come back in another time. He change shortly the aptitude to a nicer person. He convince me and accepted to install it in that moment. All my headaches started that day. The installation supposed to be done in 3 hrs approx. my car was there for 7 hrs. something no normal a thought. I lost many meetings I have for that evening, thanks to this shop. when they finish they called me to pick up my car and explain me the way it works. everything was OK till next morning I tried to start my car and didn't work. I called them and they blame my battery. it was in a good shape! the car barely worked with that system the door were acting up and the windows as well. My dashboard was off in fact I called my dealership and they assume they make a shortcut and affect my computer in my car. Universal offers to fix it but I rejected, I didn't feel comfortable to let my car with these amateurs. My warranty did not cover the damage and I spend about $2000 more to fix my car. Gustavo the other installer was saying that probably my car was having problems before and just to see the way he dress as a garbage metal collector I understood why my car was damage, if they work as they dress! *****" I DO NOT RECOMMENDED THIS SHOP!!
