Do not call!!! This company is actually a dispatch answering service who then dispatches a locksmith company in the Chicago area. I was told 30-40 minutes and I waited 2 hours for the tech to arrive. I had multiple phone calls with the tech who lied to me about a realistic ETA. He told me he was 10 minutes out, only for him to arrive 50 minutes later. They charged me over $300 for a simple lock out. Took the guy all of 2 minutes once he arrived. Although they were able to help us out I'm disappointed in the discrepancy of price quoted when I called...my 75 year old father locked himself out of his running car. I called, described the situation and the car year, model, everything. I was quoted $85. I had to leave for an appointment - when I called my dad he said the guy was here in about 25 minutes or so and charged him $95 plus $19. I called back the next day to ask about the difference in price quoted vs. billed price. I was told the $85 was just an estimate. I was not told that when I called and I was not notified of the service charge. In all the pricing isn't too out of line - I would just prefer to have an honest assessment up front instead of feeling a taken advantage of. *in response to response - JUST TELL ME WHEN I CALL - that it's an estimate and that there is a fee - I specifically asked those questions on my initial call. They are speedy and the service is good, but I've had some shadiness regarding pricing both times I used them. First time: April 2017. Had just bought my condo so needed to re-key the front and back doors and deadbolts. I was charged $29 service fee despite their website saying $15. However, I let it go because I had called on a Saturday so thought it was maybe a weekend thing. All told, I paid $349 for the re-keying. Second time: August 2017. The previous owner did not provide a key for my storage unit so gave them a call. The guy wants to charge me $189 for this, which seems extreme considering it's one doorknob and I had previously paid ~$150 per door and deadbolt for the work upstairs. I complained and he said he would do it for $150. They (techs) are quick to tell you they don't make the prices, but there is clearly have a strategy here. This may seem a little negative/foreboding for a four star review...but really, the service itself is fantastic. Give 'em a call and someone will probably be at your house in less than an hour. Just know the starting prices they list on their site are nowhere close to what they will charge. read more

Took locksmith approximately 1 minute to pick the lock then we were told the charge was $185 and the $35 quote was only the "starting price". I was locked out of my house and didn't have a spare key, so I panicked and checked yelp for a locksmith -- these guys popped up, so I gave them a call after trying a few other places that were super pricey. The emergency technician would arrive to assess the situation.The technician contacted me immediately and gave me an ETA, and arrived promptly when he said he would! I really appreciated that. When he got here, he was incredibly polite, professional, and courteous with his service. He gave me a very reasonable quote, and performed proceeded to evaluate the situation. Turns out, I had a very secure lock, but he was able to get it open in no time without leaving any damage (using fancy airlock technology). Everything was super easy and convenient, couldn't have asked for better service (I was really stressed about it, but they handled it so professionally!). I recently bought a new condo in the west loop and needed my locks changed. You know how that goes... I Googled for a locksmith in Chicago and Chi-Locksmith Chicago popped up as well as about a hundred others nearby. I wasn't even expecting them to answer that quick which caught me off guard. I then explained my situation and they said that they'd be sending out a locksmith within 15-20 minutes. In about 15 minutes flat(not GrubHub 15 minutes actually 15 minutes), the locksmith shows up, completes an inspection and lets me know my options. He then quoted me a price, which was very reasonable(reasonable meaning if I was in college I still would have done it), and got to work. It was about 8:30pm when i had called him and by 9:15pm he had changed 4 locks and re-keyed them all to the same key! I was amazed at how fast and professional these guys were(they were freaky fast like Jimmy John's). He got my business, a tip and I told him I would give their company a great review!
