I usually don't write reviews, I especially felt the need after reading G.O.s comments on this nail salon! It's really unfortunate that people write negative reviews because they didn't get their way. At 41, I would think that would be over. But anywhoooooo.. The lady that she was commenting on, her name is Cathy, as a first time customer and a vacationer in this city, I have to say, I LOVEDDDDDD HER! And wish she was in my city year round! The customer service was impeccable, and her children servicing with her in the salon were a perfect representation of her kind heart. I called AHEAD of time.. as usual out of respect to make sure that they were in fact, not busy. Her son answered and was very polite and proper, told me he could take me in 30 minutes. I got there in 20 and picked MY OWN color, ass ALLLL women and children should do when they get THEIR nails done. I waited 10 minutes and was sat with the lovely miss Cathy! I have short nails because I bite them, so I'm a tad picky. It didn't bother her ONE BIT! I told her exactly what I wanted. Size, shape, color, etc. and she made it an absolute point to do exactly what I had asked of her! And they look AMAZING! It was also her first time doing a few things that I asked and she wasn't upset to do it, surprisingly she was excited and enthusiastic to see the outcome of something new after almost 20 years of doing nails. Not only did she do as I asked, but she took the utmost time and put the most care into my nails! I felt like I had known her for years when I left! As she did my nails she still made time to greet EVERY SINGLE customer that walked in the door, with way more than just a "hello" this woman Cathy, was the furthest from rude that I had ever seen! I am beyond impressed and hope to see her again on my next family vacation. Again, I hate to be negative, but I have to add, the 13 year old was more than likely crying due to all of the animosity that her mother started that day. As I would've been at 13 as well. But bottom line, I am so pleased! It really is called 5 STAR for a reason! read more

Do not show up to this "salon" expecting a spa-like vibe. It is impossible to relax with the constant yammering between employees. It was extra chaotic and loud when I was there because they are installing new floors and decided it was appropriate to have construction going on during business hours! Totally unprofessional! I called today to ask if the shop does SNS nails. My daughter and checked in and I asked for two repairs. We walked to Publix came back to sit. A load approaches us to look at what needed to be done. She stated they don't have that color and I had indicated I am aware and asked if she had something close to it. She kept saying I don't have that color, I proceeded to say I don't understand and asked to see her swatches. She kept repeating to me she doesn't have the color. The young lady whom nails she was doing said she wants to see color samples and the woman kept saying I don't have that color and went to fuss at me and say she is busy come later. Again I said to her very calmly please stop being rude you approached us as we were sitting and I am only asking to view your colors. I then walked away to sit down and remind her she is rude. She proceeds to talk about me to a client who reminded her I just wanted to see what colors she has. Other workers understood yet no one corrected her actions. This woman then came over gave my daughter the swatches and when I indicated she is the child can I see the swatches, she snatched them from my daughter hand and broke her nail. She then told us "we not get out nail done here get out, you come to fight". I felt stereotyped based upon her previous experience. I am an educated Black professional woman and I've never had such an encounter in all my life at any nail salon until now. I've gotten my nails done since 19. I am 41. My 13 year then cried. It took another worker to come out to apologize to my child and then take my child's polish repair. My daughter was so upset and didn't want to re-enter the establishment. However, we did nothing wrong and as I told my child right is right, rudeness does not prosper. The lady is wrong in so many ways if you leave you give her the victory. Hold your head up high and get your nails done. I had to comfort her to go back in. No apologies but we maintained our position and received service. Nonetheless, I don't recommend although proximity to Reunion Resort is 10 minutes. People later came to us to indicate they saw her crying 4 people. They also commended for brining her back in and not making my daughter feel as though she is wrong in such a situation. This was such a hard, hurtful lesson to my child. Correct your demeanor. You are not the victim in this situation. My child was. You were not antagonized we were. Cathy's recent response comes as no surprise because I laid my phone down and saw the worker looking at my open Yelp review on my phone when I searched for my card and again when I signed the receipt. But the response is immature and false. Once again reflecting negatively on the shop. The response citing you have security that shows me arguing would seem to me you'd call police or had not invited me back inside. Terrible claim. Still not taking responsibility for employees behavior. Moreover, I still tipped the employee that waited on my child and I despite the event. I don't take what someone else does out on others as you are attempting with shifting blame to me. You'd attract and maintain business with being considerate to what really happened and by making the matter right with an open statement of apology rather than lying still on me and my child. I never have been a public nuisance and won't start. How silly would that look to put myself at being at risk of being arrested and having any marks toward my professional license. Please don't lie. I accepted what was indicated to me of the worker citing she may have been overwhelmed, busy, and didn't understand. But by all means to make me a liar after we certainly were invited back inside before leaving the sidewalk in front of the store and asked to stay and allow one worker to fix it; this makes your comment invalid. My receipt for business makes everything you said invalid. If I were horrible why do business with me. Apparently it was evident that my actions didn't warrant removal which means clearly I also wasn't fighting, fussing, cursing, or arguing. My review is not against your business, or you, but your worker. So please don't try to attack me with a response making me a rowdy person as I am not. You'd would have done better addressing how to improve customer service, apologize, and not lie or laugh about my experience in your shop. As that was real! Therefore I will leave my review as it stands. Your character of business is still shining through as less than friendly during my visit with your response. She was rude! People don't just walk in places to pick arguments or be treated as such. I was very unhappy with my service that I got. I felt like I basically gave this place a 8 dollar donation with the four dollar tip I left to get my eyebrows wax and arch because it looks exactly the same as I enter the dam place. You don't feel welcome at all when you come there. They have this straight Attitude vibe when they do the service you ask for. Even if you didn't come for the overall experience and just for the maintenance side of girly things, don't do it. It's not "WORTH" your disappointment. read more

Visiting from NYC, staying at Reunion which by the way is Awesome, and was in need of a mani/pedi. Searched online then went to yelp to see what the people rated the nearest spas. The higher rating locations weren't very friendly over the phone so decided to call the 2 star rated salon ironically named 5 star. They were so nice I decided to try them. Loved everything about this place. My nails are on FLEEK, as my kids would say. I got a full set (powder gel ) and my pedicure gel polish. Paid $85 total which is normal for me but the best part was the customer service which for me is PRICELESS. I give this place 10 stars read more

Okay so I wasn't going to write a review or I was at least going to wait so I wasn't to cruel in my review because I know things can happen but, after almost a week since I went, I look at my and my daughters pedi and get upset. The women that did my pedi used the buffer that removes old polish and went into both of my cuticles. At first it wasn't bad and she apologized at end for the redness, and Since it didn't really hurt and look took bad , I was okay, then when I was under dryer I realized it was bleeding into my polish. They again apologized , attempted to fix it but I was just trying to keep it together because I just didn't want to make a scene. They have me 10.00 off which again , I accepted as a good gesture. When I left my daughter told me the story of how poorly her polish was done, in fact others had to assist her as well to polish her toes. Now her polish is looking terrible after only 4 days. Looks like a child polished them. This was my first visit here. I've lived here for two years, I was going to the salon off Wilson next to the other publix but decided to try here or the Lee Nails in Championsgate. I guess I chose wrong. I think the women who did mine may have had a bad day, and the gentleman that did my daughter may have been in training, but either way it's was a terrible first experience. I guess I'll try Lee nails once my toes heal. I'm just hoping I don't get an infection. Sad that I can't find a good salon in FL or a dentist which is a whole other problem, but I'll keep looking for both. read more

this place sucks!!! i'm 3 months pregnant KNOWINGLY the lady was doing my nails two hours after she told me "20 minutes" she continues to tell me "oh 10 more mins" so two hours later she starts doing my nails but is doing everyone else's while mine she hasn't even put the paint on my nails and i tell her i'm gonna PAY so i go to pay half in cash the rest on card. i pay the cash and have to go to my car right outside the place to get my card she DOESNT LET ME LEAVE SHE COMES AROUND THE FRONT DESK AND PUTS HER HANDS ON ME!!!!! so i leave. she continues to run outside and take a picture of my plate i'm pregnant how DARE you not let me pay you LUCKY my baby daddy wasn't there you woulda got HIT after touching me the way she did. the place is dirty floors not even swept let alone anything else. nails still ugly and unfinished, thanks bitch. btw that lady who grabbed me was the OWNER. and yes my mother did go back and finish paying but you better believe anyone who grabs a pregnant lady the way she did and or not let me leave especially when wanting to pay she can catch these hands in 9 months. read more

I went to salon to let the owner know that one of her techs overcharged me and she instead of apologizing and looking into it banned me from coming. This place has proven to be unprofessional. I have been a customer of this salon for many years. I had the same tech for many years and was happy with the way my nails looked, however, there is no customer service from their owner/manager who is rude and vindictive towards their customers. You are likely to get unethical and unprofessional treatment here and there. It's really hit or miss. I have gone in for my regular manicure/pedicure appointment a week ago and was overcharged. I asked why the price was so much more than my usual for the dip and regular manicure and was told prices changed since the last time I was there, which was 3 weeks ago. Mind you, any business, especially your own hair master, nail tech, etc. would always let you know ahead of time before performing the service that the prices changed to ensure you're still ok with it and would still want to proceed with the service at a new rate. Where have you seen going and doing a service blinded now knowing the price changed and then presented with a whole new total at checkout that you weren't counting on??? I found that very odd and had my friend call the next morning to ask for pricing on dip manicure. She put it on speaker and the owner happened to answer the call and said it was $40 for solid color. I was charged $50 supposedly prices went up, huh? So, I went to the salon to talk to the owner about this mishap, however, instead of apologizing and saying she'd look into it and someone would get back to me, which is what a normal and customer service oriented manager/owner would say, she instead attacked me and told me that my tech spends too much time on my nails and can take 2 other people instead of me! That I am a difficult customer and I NEVER HAD ANY issues being unhappy or difficult in 6 years of going to the salon!!! She turned it against me as a customer when I told her about my concern and she made it seem like I deserved the up-charge?! I didn't even discuss this matter in the salon itself not to bring it up in front of other customers. I am beyond livid and appalled that after bringing business to them and a bunch of referrals over 6 years I am not being assisted rather being blamed? For the fact that I mentioned that I know I got overcharged?? But the best part is this... the tech has reached out to me asking me to delete my review in exchange to refund my nail service charge which doesn't remove the act of overcharging, rather trying to hide it off the public site. Is it customer service or bribery? I thought customer service, and was genuinely happy to know they might care but then he said I couldn't come there anymore because the owner said that. Can you believe that? As a customer who was overcharged and comes to the owner to resolve this issue you expect help and service! I brought my concern of being literally overcharged and a week later asked to remove the review and now I am not allowed to come there anymore? Because I complained that I was overcharged? How is that legal? These practices are not only unprofessional, unethical but also illegal in America. read more

I came here looking for tanning since it's literally part of the name, and I was told they had no tanning. So save your gas and time since they can't be respectful enough to take down their large sign on the from that says "NAILS TAN". Absolutely horrible. The guy was wiping his runny nose on his hands then continued to work on me and touch me with his runny nose hands. My pinky nail is burning still for some reason. The buffer was growing bacteria on it. Side note buffers are to be used once on a client by the law. The pedicure bowls looked nasty from a far. Meaning probably not cleaned after every use. He then used a brush that he dipped in with DIRTY implements and used it on my skin!!! At that point I freaked out and was absolutely disgusted. I didn't even let him finish. I'm filing a complaint to the FL health inspectors now. Do not go here beware for your health and catching diseases. read more
