First of all I want to thank Erica and Tony for everything they did for me. It made my move so much easier because of my disability and being on oxygen 24/7. They made sure that all my needs were met and I got 3 wonderful men who did a fantastic job. Their rates are very reasonable they had me all set to go in 45 minutes. It amazing how they come in with a container and put all the boxes in it than wrapped my mattress and box spring motorized recliner chair, my large computer desk and more everything was carefully handled by these young men. They drove 10 miles to my new place and had to go to the 2nd floor no elevator!! I would use 5 star movers again in the future when I get my 1st floor handi-cap unit in the future. They didn't leave until they knew I was all set and did I need anything. They removed all the plastic and tape and cleaned up everything. After researching and getting quotes from about 5 movers, we decided on Five Stars. the main reason we chose them, was they gave us a FIRM price, so many movers, estimate, and then jack up the price on you. I have had a bunch of friends have bad experiences. We wanted to know the price and that would be it. Well they quoted us a price, and it was accurate. We packed all our stuff, but they came and took all the tables apart, all the beds, etc. They did not break anything! They packed up all our stuff in the truck and held it on their lot for a night, since we were closing on our new house the next day. They got to our new house in Marshfield, at the time they said, took the 3 guys,about 3 hours to unload everything.They put everything back together perfectly. I had such a great experience with five star movers! Erica was so helpful on the phone and the three guys that showed up were so friendly efficient and fast-they dealt with all the things I was worried about and didn't break a thing as I collect glass objects! I couldn't believe how fast and helpful they were and they weren't bothered at all by my third floor walk up they had to take everything down from. It was reasonable and made my fourth move in four years stressfree! It was the second time I used them and was shocked when I found out they could have moved me back to Boston from Chicago as I had the worst experience with that! I really can't speak highly enough of Five Stars. I needed help moving a large couch out of my third floor apartment, which had very narrow doorways and steep, winding stairs. Other movers had wrestled with this couch to no avail, and I called these guys as a last, desperate attempt. They carried that thing down the stairs like it was no problem, and because they took the time to wrap it in blankets first, they didn't leave a single mark on the walls. I was absolutely amazed by their efficiency. They were also very professional; they arrived early and worked hard the whole time. If you're moving in the Boston area, call Five Stars! Excellent! My friend and I moved in together to a home and Five Stars moved us from separate apartments on the same day. It was an 8+ hour chore because some of our furniture did not fit properly. These movers did not flinch or complain in the least when we asked them to pick up couches, chairs and armoires and move them to a different location in the home. They worked tirelessly and maintained good attitudes throughout the whole day (we fed them pizza and soda and thought they might need dinner, too!). The pricing was reasonable and the admin staff was professional and courteous. Highly recommend this company and will use them again in the future. read more

Five Star Movers moved us from South Bend, Indiana to Quincy, Massachusetts just this week. We dealt with Erica in the main office; she gave us a price that we thought was a fair price. They arrived in South Bend the time she said they would and they arrived in Quincy two days later like she said they would. The movers could not have been anymore professional and efficient as they were, they take care and pride in everything they took apart, wrapped and moved. I was searching for the right moving company and also a comparable price. i did get a bunch of quotes some of them with a really low price, but i decide to go with five stars movers just because of their BBB report and reviews, their moving quote was not the cheaper one, but comparable they guarantee their pick up date and seven days for delivery. well everything that they promise they accomplish my mom just got her things yesterday and everything arrive in great conditions so I'm really Happy that did choose Five Stars Movers in Boston i do recommend to any one who will read this review. Two weeks later, and still no resolution. My complaint was escalated to a manager Tony who hasn't done a thing to improve the poor customer service experience. Just looking for some form of refund for the hassle. There were two issues: 1) Pick-Up Date: On my pick-up date (confirmed via phone and email), no one showed up. I couldn't even reach anyone on the line which claims to be open "7:00am - 8:00pm, Every Day." They ended up coming the next day. 2) Delivery Date: We specified that we did not want to accept deliveries after 5 PM. The delivery ended up concluding on a Saturday night at 11 PM. I've used Five Stars four times both for interstate and intercity moves. No surprises, no delays, no breakages. What you're quoted is what you pay. Great communication at all times and speedy response to emails. The guys doing the heavy lifting, work quickly and watch walls and corners with the heavy furniture. The last move we had a huge issue with the condo association we were going to and they kept our furniture for five days with no charge and changed the delivery schedule and organized a certificate of insurance within hours. Our moving process in November 2019 was made so much easier by utilizing Five Stars Movers. Erika was very helpful in the planning process. Chris, Orlando, and Jose were INCREDIBLE. Very careful not to damage our walls/etc. I can not believe how quickly they loaded and unloaded our furniture and belongings. We couldn't have asked for a harder working and more courteous team. I felt I had found a good moving company. It was only after things started to go wrong did I realize I should have gone with another moving company. In the end, I spent over $1000 extra in moving costs and to replace the damaged items then if I had gone with another company and through my discussions with five star movers they seem to feel they have done nothing wrong and don't care about their customers because they received their money to cover them. Damaged many of our belongings in transit during a cross-country and accepted little-no responsibility. Much of the damage could have easily been prevented with a little care- wooden box spring was broken in half, crock-pot was smashed from being dropped, etc. Customer service was mediocre- couldn't tell us when to expect our items to be delivered, and left quite a mess in our home after pick-up and upon delivery (trash, tape, etc. left on the floor). I had a good experience with Five Star Movers in summer 2021. They moved me from Boston to New Orleans. When hurricane Ida hit, I had only been in the city a few days while my belongings were still in transit. Five Star agreed to reschedule the delivery to a later date for no extra charge. Coordinating with five star was very easy. The team of 3 movers arrived on time and we're very fast (practically running from the truck!). They picked up items from two locations for us and then loaded everything into shipping pods at a third location. They paid special attention to packing everything very well so that all of our equipment and furniture survived the 2000 mile shipment. I would not hesitate to use Five Star Movers again! read more

The movers were srong, quick and very impressive. They arrived when they said they would. I also really liked working with Erika Maxfeldt in their office. Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone at all. They gave us a set price. We put a deposit. When they came to pick up our stuff they tripled the price and they wouldn't give us our deposit back. Stuff are missing. Furniture damaged. Things broken. They gave us a number to call with any issues. We called and left several messages no one answered or called us back. Horrible Company. read more
