My last oil change I received was completed on 08-18-2025. It was finally due for another oil change. I went to store Kapolei location #813 on 05/25/2025 and I was told by the staff they are unable to change my oil due to that my oil pan needed to be rethreaded ASAP. I also don't recall from my last visit that was discussed with me. I ended up speaking with the manager who advised to take my car to a mechanic to get it checked out. I ended up going to another location for the auto repair shop to diagnose the issue and was told the same exact thing. I ended up having to get my oil pan completely replaced and my oil change. I was then told by the mechanic who ever has been doing my oil caused physical damaged therefore why it needed to be replaced. Mind you my car is still new 2021 Toyota 4Runner. I'm pretty upset to the fact I had to pay $950 out of pocket to get it replaced. I've attached references of the paper work I was given of my last invoice from oil changers they provided me today since I didn't have a copy from last time... and a copy of the invoice I had to pay out of pocket for the damages. I'm pretty upset that this had to happen and now I don't think I will go back to oil changers to get my oil changed.

I'm talking $800+ for the "recommended" service given my car's mileage. Things are already rough for us local folks... $800+ would have been impossible. I'm also not a "car guy", so there's that. Thankfully, my wife took her car to Car Geeks before. I remember her showing me the multipoint inspection report with photos, recommendations, and suggestions for which actions to prioritize. I appreciated that the Car Geeks team provided that. Making an appointment was pretty straightforward. I told them what I needed and they answered my questions (I was particularly concerned about cost). I showed up to my appointment as scheduled. They completed the multipoint inspection and went over the recommended actions (brake fluid flush). I also received the results from the inspection in a link via text message. Once I agreed to the additional service, I approved it on the web page. However, in order to get the work done, the team needed to remove the tire for access. I explained that, unfortunately, my wheel lock key had not been returned by the previous shop I went to. In fact, it was my second set that was not returned. The Car Geeks team reviewed options with me again. They asked if I wanted to wait until I got the new key, but I said that was unlikely and I've been wanting to just switch to regular lug nuts to prevent future headaches. No problem. They were able to get that done for me as well. The team also kept me updated regularly during the visit. When I picked up my truck, I noticed the damage and spoke to the front desk. He literally told me their equipment is old and that damage is "expected." That's a wild thing to say to a customer. One of my center hub caps has a deep, long score where it looks like the tech tried to pry it off instead of doing it properly. What's worse is the installer clearly knew they did it and just didn't say anything. I've got video of all four wheels from drop off, so I know for a fact that wasn't there before. The actual work quality was just lazy. They used stickon weights, which is fine, but they didn't even clean the surface first. Wont be surprising if they don't stay on. On one wheel, they placed weights almost opposite of each other. Pretty much just canceling each other out and adding unnecessary unsprung weight for no reason. The ride feels a little bumpier than it did on my old, worn-out tires. My guess is that they didn't road force the tires, maybe because they don't have the equipment or the staff isn't trained on it. Idk. I even had a missing valve stem cap. The front desk guy just put on a random mismatched one. I had all four matching OEM caps and they didn't replace the stems because I got TPMS. April Arzadon was the salesperson on the ticket and Ezekiel Lyau was the tech. It's been two weeks since the guy at the counter took photos of the damage and said the manager would handle it. Couple days after pick up, I called back, and while the manager supposedly got the message, i never actually talk to the manager. They just keep using the front desk as a middleman. The only reason this isn't a 1-star review is because the online booking was easy and the price was ok, but the "savings" aren't worth the damage and the total lack of accountability. After playing phone tag, the guy that answers the phone says Saturday isn't even an option as their alignment guy isn't in on Saturdays. I scheduled for today (Monday). Wheels were aligned in about an hour. I thought things were good to go. My tire pressure light went on while I was driving from the shop to work in Honolulu. I called the shop immediately and someone said a manager would call me back. No call ever came today. I took my car to get my tire pressure checked. Only one tire was filled to 33. The rest of them were filled to 18!! My goal tire pressure per the manufacturer is 35. Now I'm questioning the entire accuracy of my service. My two rear tires are brand new (literally days old). The only reason I didn't get my wheels aligned at Lex Brodie's where I got the tires, is because they don't align Audis. Super disappointed in the service here.
