I'm honestly pretty shocked by the lack of care here. If you're okay with your wheels getting a little beat up, this is the spot. When I picked up my truck, I noticed the damage and spoke to the front desk. He literally told me their equipment is old and that damage is "expected." That's a wild thing to say to a customer. One of my center hub caps has a deep, long score where it looks like the tech tried to pry it off instead of doing it properly. What's worse is the installer clearly knew they did it and just didn't say anything. I've got video of all four wheels from drop off, so I know for a fact that wasn't there before. The actual work quality was just lazy. They used stickon weights, which is fine, but they didn't even clean the surface first. Wont be surprising if they don't stay on. On one wheel, they placed weights almost opposite of each other. Pretty much just canceling each other out and adding unnecessary unsprung weight for no reason. The ride feels a little bumpier than it did on my old, worn-out tires. My guess is that they didn't road force the tires, maybe because they don't have the equipment or the staff isn't trained on it. Idk. I even had a missing valve stem cap. The front desk guy just put on a random mismatched one. I had all four matching OEM caps and they didn't replace the stems because I got TPMS. April Arzadon was the salesperson on the ticket and Ezekiel Lyau was the tech. It's been two weeks since the guy at the counter took photos of the damage and said the manager would handle it. Couple days after pick up, I called back, and while the manager supposedly got the message, i never actually talk to the manager. They just keep using the front desk as a middleman. The only reason this isn't a 1-star review is because the online booking was easy and the price was ok, but the "savings" aren't worth the damage and the total lack of accountability. I may have to take it to another shop to get the tires rebalanced. We'll see. read more

Called to book an appointment for a safety check and the service desk informed me that no appointment was needed -- just walk in. I asked what time they opened and was told 8am. This morning, we arrived at 7am and were the first in line. As soon as they opened, we were told it was appointment only and that they were fully booked for the day. Unbelievable. When I explained that I had called ahead and was specifically told to walk in, the only solution offered was an appointment next month. Extremely disappointing customer service and poor communication. Will not be coming back here. read more

We have gone a few times just for safety inspections for our vehicles. When taking our vehicle in for a safety inspection the employee told us a few of our lights needed replacing. Without presenting any info on the replacement needed they said it would cost $200.00 to replace the bulbs. That is completely ridiculous thinking that they can say that to a customer. I went to autozone and replaced the bulbs for under $20.00. Goodyear is ripping off customers who work hard for their money! Goodyear when doing safety inspections should have a different rate for helping the customer that is only there for safety inspection. I have spoken to some of my friends and even they say Goodyear likes to rip customers off. They went there for a service and Goodyear their safety inspection without asking then Goodyear told them the safety won't pass because two of their tires were bad and that the cost would be $700.00. Do not go to Goodyear Kapolei they have a system of ripping off customers. What a racket. I spoke to the manager and that guy is shady and not honest. Even the service lady lying to customers. On Monday, I walked in hoping to get a safety inspection. I was told safety inspections are by appointment only and the next availability was Wednesday (6/11) at noon. So I booked it. Fast forward to today Wednesday. I walked in 10 mins early and was holding my small dog. The lone employee immediately held up his hand, his eyes darting to my dog. I stood inches from the door thinking he was going to tell me I couldn't bring my dog in, ready to walk back outside. I quickly told him "I have a 12 o'clock....." he cut me off and sternly said "just wait!!!" There were 2 men in the waiting area. The employee was typing away on the computer. A lady walked in and the guy employee scolded her for taking too long to bring him her paperwork. Wow. Rude. When it was my turn, he motioned me over, no greeting and just stood there. I told him I had an appointment for a safety inspection. He was clearly very annoyed and mad, cut me off and said "registration, insurance!". He was grumbling about something. I said "you're not having a good day are you?". I wasn't being sarcastic, I saw how he was interacting with the lady and he was being rude and now with me he was acting like I was disrupting his day. He emphasized he wasn't having a good, that he was slammed, been working by himself for 3 days because people called out. He pointed to a stack of paperwork and said he still has to send out all these estimates. I asked him how long is it going to take and he said an hour. I thought he meant the estimates so I said, "I mean the inspection". He said "an hour!" Still thinking he meant the stack of estimates he was grumbling about, I told him I meant the inspection. He said super slowly as if I had a comprehension problem, "I just told you 45 mins to an hour". Rude. I told him never mind and took my paperwork back. He told me "but you have an appointment". I said no thank you and walked out. I'm not going to spend my hard earned money at a business who treats customers so rudely. Not my problem that your co-workers are calling in sick for 3 straight days. Also not my problem you have a stack of estimates to send out. A kind word never goes wasted. A simple, "I'll be right with you" and a smile would've been awesome. After waiting 20 mins, a kind word " thanks for waiting, how can I help you" would've been great. I probably would've waited the hour. I get people have bad days but don't take it out on customers. Customer service starts at the top. Clearly nobody at the top cares. read more

First was just for a safety inspection for my company vehicle and second was for an oil change. Both times I sat and waited for over 3 hours. This is absolutely unacceptable. We have gone to this location a few times. First time with an appointment an inspection and it took them 4 hours to get to our car. Next time they were better. This time husband took our car in for oil change, because we found special rebate to lower the rate below another company we used. The offer was on website and came up for their location. We were also quoted a price. When we came back to pickup car the staff member said the rebate was wrong and take it up with Corporate....what we have to take it up with corporate. It's false advertising if it offered to bring you in and then not give it to you. Well guess what there are other places to go in the future when we need new tires which is coming up this year, future inspections and oil changes. We have a habit of sticking with a business that provides consistent and helpful service. read more

Christmas Eve had an appt for 8:00. There were people there before me which I later found out were walk-ins. My van sat on the side for an hour so I walked up to the counter and asked if it was first come first serve and they said that the technicians are supposed to take appts first and make sure someone is available at the scheduled time. They then informed the technicians to work on my van next. When I first checked in, I told them my van was shaking and that I believed it was either a bubble or balancing. I also told them there was a couple screws and which tires they were in and that wasn't what was causing the shaking and that the shaking was the most important issue. The night prior and that morning, I checked all the tires and made them all the same pressure and it was still shaking. After waiting in the store for a few hours, I asked if they found what was causing the shaking and they said they removed a screw and plugged the tire and were almost done. I told them as I told them from the beginning that the shaking was the most important. I then walked into the garage to talk directly to the technician to make sure what I said was relayed properly. I explained that I inflated all the tires equal pressure and it was still shaking so it WAS NOT the screw causing the issue as they told me that sometimes low pressure due to a leak would cause shaking. I drove many cars and trucks with bubbles before and I told them I know what a bubble feels like or could be balancing but he said they were balanced. He asked if it was the front or back shaking and I said most likely the back as the steering wheel wasn't shaking a lot like I've experience before with a bubble in the front. I then went back to waiting room thinking I was understood. After another hour I asked a different lady at the counter if they found a bubble and she said that they plugged the screw and was almost done. I repeated everything I said to her and she went into the garage. After a while I went into the garage and the technician was looking at the front tires. I told the lady it must be in the back as the steering wheel isn't shaking much and I can see my son's head in the back car seat shaking side to side. The counter lady then found the bubble in the same tire they plugged earlier and I also pointed out that when I first checked in I told them there was a screw in the front passenger too. They then plugged that and had to order one tire from another store as there was only 1 there and I agreed to change 2. Everything was finally done at 1pm. I was there for 5 hours just to change 2 tires with a scheduled appointment...if they listened to me in the first place should've taken 1-2 hours max. If I didn't go into the garage multiple times and keep pushing, the tire could've exploded and caused an accident. read more

I made online appointment late last night for an oil change and I was able to get the earliest and I'm so happy they have the online appointment feature. The guy Kenny was so cool and friendly . I assume it will take abt 2-3 hours but I got my car back after an hour. They even offer for courtesy tire rotation but I just purchase my tire last week. Kudos to all of you and the manager Chris. I went to get a battery changed for my vehicle. It was good for about a month and then I would have issues with it starting. We used the vehicle to take some people to the beach and when we tried to leave the vehicle wouldn't start. We popped the hood and the battery terminals are not tighten and the bolts that secure the battery are on the front windshield. How does that happen? We finally went to Ewa Beach Auto Repair. We had no appointment but within five minutes we got our safety check done quickly and professionally. Here's the deal. These guys are so nice, but so so understaffed. I got an oil change here and I had to wait in line for 30 minutes just to drop my car off for the oil change. Keep in mind, I had an appointment. In the past I've tried calling to make appointments but I finally started making appointments online because they never pick up the phone. I kid you not, the phone rang THE ENTIRE TIME I was there. Everyone in the waiting room just had to sit and listen to it ring for hours. And the guys at the desk just ignored it. Like I said, these guys are so nice. And they do a good job, but they desperately need more staff or they need to stop taking so many appointments. read more

We took our car in because they didn't do the tires right the first time at another location. We took it to the kapolei goodyear because it was closer, and all they had to do was make the white walls face out and align the tires. We paid extra for this service to be done, but they should have refunded us for it. They wasted our whole day by keeping it from 9 am to 430 pm. Nobody answers the phone when you want to call and get a status update, there's poor leadership, and overall management of the place. Safety inspection scheduled for 12 and the first red flag was the person in front of me was also checking in for a 12 safety inspection appointment and was quoted 45 minutes to an hour. When I checked in I was told one hour. I go eat and return one hour later to my car still sitting where I left it and inspection hasn't started. The person at the counter says that is normal because they are the only place for inspections in Kapolei. Save yourself the time and frustration and go somewhere else especially if you feel that making an appointment means your car will at least be started on within an hour of your scheduled appointment time. read more

Wife and I have been going here for decades. Always greeted in a welcoming manner. Past few days with nails in both my vehicle and my wife's and to have repair. Also, they patch tire from inside, which is proper and not just a plug like some other shops might do. Guy at counter is nice, but he's constantly swamped. He just doesn't have time to answer. Seems they've burned just enough people to lighten the workload, so there's usually walk-in availability. But be careful. They will never touch any of our cars again. PRE TIRE ROTATION. Tires marked. Needed plugged tire swapped out for spare. Checklist said action completed on all tires. Work was signed off by technician "Kevin Gameng". Rear tires both remained in place, as they were marked before work. Worksheet indicated a circular rotation. Markings remained in same place after work compete. CONFRONTATION. Desk gentleman remained pleasant & offered to have another tech complete the work. But my family needed dinner & I needed to leave. Am happy with how he smoothly snapped to make it right & offered my choice to complete the work immediately or the following day. On the lookout for a honest new regular. I unexpectedly got a flat tire. After being told by Costco that they did not carry the tire that I needed, Costco recommended a comparable tire but required I purchase two tires out of safety. After being pre warned Costco tends to try to get customers to purchase more than one tire at a time, I asked for a recommendation for a place that would not require me to buy more than what I needed. Fortunately, the guy was kind enough to recommend Goodyear up the road. After getting there as quick as possible, I was warmly greeted by Mike who knew I was in some need of help. Mike was so patient and professional despite me not having an appointment and trying to manage two toddlers by myself. He was knowledgeable with the tire I needed and never pressured me to purchase more than that. I recommend coming here again as I was highly satisfied with the customer service. Goodyear is one of those hit or miss places. I've been bringing my car here off and on for about 8 years now. I've only done oil change and maybe a tire repair. So this is based solely on that. Ok this place has gotten low stars but I want to say that today I had the most amazing experience. Basically had my car towed from a morning commute flat tire. Ata and Shylen were so amazing. Scheduled an appointment for 8am and arrived right at 8. After 2 hours I checked at desk for an update. He mentioned something about needing to know battery size. An hour later I checked again and was told they didn't have my battery in stock and had to send someone out to pick it up and they were finally on their way back. It should not take 4 hours to replace a battery. read more

First off they don't answer the phone. They stand right next to it while it rings all day long. So you can't even call to ask if they have availability. Second, when you making an appointment in person it's useless I made 0800 am appointment and wasn't even able to check in till after 0830 and didn't get my car back till after lunch for a inspection. The next time I made the mistake of using their services for an inspection I was asked to fix a minor item and I was told I could come back and pick up my sticker anytime, however when I showed up they made me make an appointment for next week. They take forever when there's a lot of people in line . There's two people in the front but only one does transactions. They should cross train the front people. I came in today to check my tires since the tire light is on. The guy told me it could take more than 2hours since they are short staffed. I asked him could he just try to put my car in since I have physical therapy across the street. He said " oh I have to put all this information in just to void it later" brah the guy complaining about typing my information on the computer seriously ??? It's not that hard bro it's the guy that's almost bald and light gray hair has a grey beard and glasses. Such sad excuse what great customer service here. No wonder you only have 3 stars. read more
