Awesome Mexican restaurant!! From the start with delicious salsa served with the crispy chips this place excels in excellent food. I highly recommend the Carne Tampiqueña. It's amazing. Marinated skirt steak with an incredible guacamole-infused Pico de Gallo and also served with rice and beans and a cheese enchilada for good measure. My new favorite Mexican food stop in Naples. Moderately priced delicious food and a nice atmosphere. We had great service from the minute we walked in. Plenty of chips and salsa and the salsa was actually good and tasted fresh. My husband had the drunken shrimp and fish and he said the fish was prepared excellently! This is the only Mexican place my hubby and I can agree on in Naples. Decent prices and good food. Service is always excellent but they still get one less star.... they still charge for a second helping of salsa and chips. We like that we can order from the lunch menu every single day including weekends I like their vegetarian menu I like the iceless water large bottle they leave at the tables. Reminds me of overseas eating. The place can be tricky to find around this outdoor mall maze but it's worth it. They have lots of seating indoor and out. It was my first time at this location. They have a friendly staff and cute outdoor patio area. The chips and salsa were fresh and delicious. Not too spicy. They leave a nice glass jug on the table to refill your water. Their drinks looked yummy, but I didn't order alcohol. I ordered from their vegetarian menu, which I appreciate the options. Had the #2 which includes a delicious guacamole tostada (I would have been happy having a couple of those with rice and beans it was that good). Also had a cheese enchilada that was ehh. Too much cheese that I couldn't swallow it and felt like choking. Their Chile relleno wasn't bad with yellow rice and refried beans. Generous portions where you can take the rest to go. Next time I will see how to only order the tostadas. I went back just for the 2 tostadas and rice and beans. They were upgraded to a 4 because of my delicious guac tostadas. Mmmm mmmm read more

This is an upscale Mexican restaurant. Nice decor throughout very spacious. When we were seated they took our drink order and also brought out the free salsa and chips. If you want more they charge you. I ordered their basic lunch taco and burrito both with beef. No sour cream was served on either. The order include re fried beans and saffron rice. Everything tasted just fine and was priced right. For two people with a soft drink and meal the bill was $21.00. Not too bad for this upscale place. The more complete dinner menu was also presented but many dishes would not be available until dinner time which was 5pm. FYI they close between 3pm and 5pm. read more

I understand Naples not the best place for Mexican, but for gods sake can someone open up a decent place other than the east side of town .. Definitely a cute Mexican authentic restaurant, we stopped in here after hitting the beach , and did a thrift shopping. They have a fantastic outdoor dining area, where we scored for a lunch menu later enough for us. Had chips and salsa , a taco salad , my daughter had quesadillas everything was fantastic except my husband was disappointed in meal he had the chimmacaga which was not how he was use to having shredded chicken where their meal was chucks of chicken and seemed fried . read more

Our family wanted Mexican food for dinner tonight and decided on Flaco's Restaurant which is a favorite of ours. They are located at Airport Pulling Road and Vanderbilt Beach Road in Naples. There is plenty of parking outside on two side of the restaurant and additional space within the shopping plaza. The inside is spacious with the walls decorated in Mexican art and hanging Piñatas from the ceiling. There is a nice bar with plenty of seating offering up an array of Tequilas, beers and wines with some televisions. If you like eating outside there is a nice patio to accommodate that need. We were sat right away and an employee immediately greeted us with some of their delicious chips and salsa which is our favorite salsa in town. We also love the warm light and crispy tortilla chips. Our server then greeted us shortly after and took our order. I ordered my usual favorite, the Steak Chimichanga which was nice and crispy on the outside while the steak was super moist and succulent on the inside. The wife order her usual pick three combo with two Chicken Tacos and a Cheese Enchilada and was quite pleased with her dish. Our little only loves the Cheese Queso so she had that for her meal. They do have a kids menu that has several items to choose from. Our Sunday dinner was very pleasant and the service was great. The Chips and Salsa is super delicious and order some of their Green Salsa if you like a little heat. We will be back very soon! read more

Maria (waitress) was extremely nice! All the waiters and waitresses help almost every table out. Nobody is quite assigned to a table, they all help one another! Their homemade salsa is very good and organic! Quest was okay, but given a lot. My meal was okay, i wish the "seafood" tacos didn't have fish in them, only wanted shrimp. Back to Naples after a 6 month hiatus up north. Always look forward to going to Flaco's, one of our favorites, food was as good as it always was. Here is my problem, since when did they start charging a 4% fee for using a credit card?? I never ever pay in cash anymore and I doubt if 90% of the people there do as well. In addition, it's not even close to a 4% cost for them. Do us and yourself a favor and just add a few cents to the entrees vs dinging us a fee that exceeds your actual cost. ITS A BIG TURNOFF. I cut my tip of 20% back to 16%. I have now become a less loyal customer and may not come back on at all out of principal. read more

Overall pretty good!! First impressions in most Mexican places are started with the ambiance, the initial service and the chips & salsa. They got off to a good start on all three fronts. Clean good looking place, nice people eager to serve, and light tasty, warm chips. Salsa was very flavorful. We started with the special nacho appetizer - solid but not spectacular. We ordered the Flaco Fajitas - the house version with steak, chicken & shrimp. It was good! Seasoned well and plenty for the two of us to share. Our friends had the same thing and were happy as well. They added the Carmel Flan for dessert and loved it - I am not a flan fan so hard for me to tell good vs bad. We would go back - which is always my make or break thought. read more

Our first time at Flaco's and not overly impressed. We are early birds so the place was fairly empty. When offered a table or a booth. I asked if the table moves in the booth? "Yes" was the false response. Bad start. After our Sangria (good), chips and salsa (also good) I asked if they had Coctel de Camerones. The server had no clue which is fine however, would not ask the chef or manager. The main course and dessert were good. Carne Asada for me and #8 for my DW. Flan and Chimibanana followed. We always used to come here and each time coming back is getting harder and harder. The service is always excellent, but the food is more and more bland. I had the steak tacos. The meal was portioned nicely but the steak was dry and had no flavor. The beans were dissapointing, tasted like they were reheated from 3 days ago. My gf has the veggie option (chile releno) and it was way too eggy and looked microwaved with the sauce dried on the top. The picture posted below looks good from the eye, but did not taste well (unfortunately). Hard to say if we will be back. There for the first time with seven friends. We all liked what we had. Very generous portions and very reasonable prices for what you get...but we all found our dishes a little too salty! The warm chips and salsa is free initially but a charge for and additional chips or salsa of $1.50 each. First time salsa was thick and good. Next time, watered down. They replaced that. I had the Enchiladas Suiza. VG!!! Again, a lot of white meat chicken. Others had the Chicken Quesadilla and some other dishes they liked. My friend said the Garlic soup was great!! Ill go back but will ask for less salt in the plate. Service was very attentive and great. Glad I mentioned to the staff about the salt months back. Have been here 3x since and a lot better with less salt. Dishes are still great, generous portions, reasonable prices and great service. Salsa both mild and hot served. (or ask for) As mentioned by lots of us here, the salsa can be "watered down" so I strain it into a saucer. Done! Free refills on beverages without asking. Chips are always warm. I think the best Mexican restaurant in Naples and nice setting inside and out. Great location. Been there twice this week with friends. What does that tell you? read more

Two problems with Flaco's. First the chips and salsa are very good but they give you a very small amount of salsa. When you ask for more salsa they charge you $1.50 for each refill. Second, when you use a charge card they add an additional 4% onto your bill for charge card use. This is not acceptable. The food is good at Flaco's but these are the problems I experienced.
