Worst experience ever. Sunday June 29, 2014. They did not fully vacuum car. Did not wipe down interior of kid goop and crumbs. Had to ask twice for vacuuming. Paid full wash Plus tires.. Manager said his crew said I had not removed my dog from the car!!! I was holding my dog. I raised my voice over the noise. He refused to "armor all" because "I was rude". I said I'm calling BBB. Only then did he sprayed tires for $2- $3 xtra. Another car pulled up to complain-- then drove off. Been going there 25 years. Won't go back. read more

I have always had good experiences at Flagship. I just wish I lived/worked closer to it.

After a few years, I thought I would try them again. My usual place under Target in the parking garage was booked. For the same price at Flagship I have streaks and smudges all over my car, carpets that had to be vacuumed again, and they only used a dry rag on the inside. Go to the steam place called extreme detail at target. So far superior I can't even describe it. You leave satisfied for the same price. read more

I love this place. Where else can you get a decent car wash in the District at 8am? They are thorough and very nice. Well worth it!

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD ANY ONE USE THIS CAR WASH! Earlier today I went in for a car wash. I pulled my car up to the edge of the entrance and left it for the staff to move the last bit onto the track/mechanism following their instructions. The staff member stalled my car (it did not appear he was able to drive a car with a manual transmission). Rather then asking a colleague who knew how to drive a manual or myself for help, he proceeded to try to restart the car (possibly without depressing the clutch pedal) and flooded the engine. I tried to intervene and told him to wait a couple of minutes and I would restart it for him. Impatiently he and a couple of colleagues decided to push the car the last foot onto the track/mechanism. One of the employees was pushing on the open drivers side door. I insisted he stop to no avail (I am not sure if he was not listening to me or didn't understand me). I immediately went to find the manager (Javier) at the end of the car wash line who was extremely rude. I explained what had happened. At this point, his first thought was to ask if I had paid yet. I informed him that I hadn't and that I would do so after the car came off the line and I had a chance to look around it. He said that I had to pay now or he would "call the cops." I told him that I thought that was a good idea. He proceeded to imply that this was somehow my fault and that he didn't care that I drove a nice car and that they were in no way responsible. At this point, I just wanted to leave so I went in an paid (I really shouldn't have and should have called his bluff and called MPD). I proceeded to drive straight home and put the car directly away in the garage. When I exited the car, I observed the door hinge now makes a popping/clicking sound. I was fuming and did not thoroughly check for additional damage but will do so first thing in the morning and before moving/touching the car. I will also take the car in for the dealer to thoroughly go through on Monday. Depending on the extent of the damage and the projected repair costs, I may take legal action and/or lodge a complaint with DC's Office of the Attorney General's Consumer Protection department (for anyone who has had issues with this business, you can easily lodge a complaint by completing a very simple form at http://oag.dc.gov/service/consumer-protection-asst). I have already called my credit card company to stop payment for the car wash given my experience and also noting that despite opting for the ultimate (most expensive) package it left my not much cleaner than when I went in. In short: I strongly suggest you avoid this business (also Yelp should allow for zero starts in exceptional circumstances such as this). read more

I've been coming here for years because there is literally NOWHERE else to get a car wash in the area. This last time was the final straw. After once again paying $25 for a 60 second exterior wash and 30 second interior "cleaning" I finally complained to the manager that I was sick of the poor service and showed him how my car remained almost exactly as it was prior to cleaning. Sopping wet mats, lint covered windows, half car not even wiped down. They don't even offer an exterior only option, it's just same expensive price. Horrible place. read more

I live basically across the street from this carwash, so I guess it was inevitable I would try it. Today I did so, in spite of a general negative tone I detected on these pages. However, all I needed was muddy slush (from a drive back from Chicago) removed from my car's exterior, so I shelled out the $17 bucks for a "regular wash." Everyone was very friendly, the wash was quick, and the guys out back wiped it down well, also quickly. I drove away with a clean car and am giving Flagship a clean bill of health. read more

For starters basic car wash $17 bit expensive, but ok, got most of the dirt off. The one star is for the fact that I couldn't pay before hands down had all three kids under 6 in the car, every other carwash I have been to that you drive through lets you go through with the car, I asked if I needed to get the kids out or if I could go through with them. I was told go pay and come back to go through (which I thought was strange as there was a line) As soon as I had stepped inside another guy jumped in my car and sent my terrified kids through the car wash by themselves. When I spoke with the manager he was unconcerned and told me there was no other way and I should have made myself clear that I didn't want them to go through alone. Utter idiots I will let my car go dirty before dealing with them again. read more

Just got back. Very busy Friday. Line curved around the building but moved fast. Now I know it moved quickly because they are doing half ass jobs. I paid for the super wash and I don't even think the quality is good for their regular wash. My trunk wasn't vacuumed out, there is still dirt under and in edges of my floor mats, the interior was wiped down very poorly if at all, still scuff marks and dirt, and the exterior also still has spots that could have been wiped down. Disappointed. I paid for and needed a thorough cleaning. What I got was worth no more than $10. I paid $20 plus tax read more

Any car wash that vacuums first is a bad place to go. They will never spend the time to actually clean the interior because they need to get the car through the line to move on to the next customer. There were whole peanuts left behind, besides the entire back window still covered in hand prints. Yes, I have kids and the car gets messy, but the poor quality was inexcusable. I was in a hurry and didn't want to drive to my regular place, but I'm headed back to Montgomery Hills Car Wash and will never go to flagship again. read more

If you want your car to smell like a cheap used car lot, go to this place. The car wash itself is adequate, nothing special, but the spray they use to clean the windows is terrible and the scent lingers forever. Despite specifically asking for "no spray" they do it anyway. Won't go back. read more

This carwash has gone downhill. The last four or five times I've gone (over the course of a year) I bought the most expensive package but the job has been mediocre at best. Dirt was left on the wheels. The vacuuming was hit and miss. When I pointed out an un vacuumed area in the back, they guy did it begrudgingly. I'm going to try someplace else. read more

Pretty disappointing given the price. I hadn't used a full service car wash before and now it's clear that it's not worth the extra cost -- at least at this establishment . Lots of dust still on the dashboard and in the driver cabin generally. The staff seemed rushed even though there weren't that many customers. read more

Decent wash for what you pay...most of the time one weekends there is a long line but overall a good experience.

I am a regular, and think they do a fine job here. last saturday my phone fell out of my car at some point. An hour later, my home phone rang -- someone at Flagship had found it and tracked me down. This came after the manager saw me about to put on four new hubcaps. He came over, did it himself, and when I gave him ten bucks, walked it back to the tip bin to share with his guys. Am a regular customer for the straight $20 car wash and have always liked the people - friendly, courteous and accommodating of us leaving bike racks and other accessories hanging off the car! Awesome car wash! I went in today to get my car detailed and when I picked it up, the car looked as if it was completely brand new. My car also was covered in awful scratches from parking on various streets in DC and they were able to get rid of all of that too. Very pleased with their service! read more

Just got a new, high-end car that I want to keep nice and clean. This place was ridiculously overpriced for the most basic of car washes. I could have gone through a drive-thru car was at a gas station and gotten equal results. What irritated me the most though, was the cloths they used to wipe down the car literally left thousands of fibers all over the exterior body and on the inside/outside of the windows. Not just tiny fibers, extremely noticeable. It made my car look like it was covered in dust. My car actually looked DIRTIER than it did when I brought it in because of this. Furthermore, they left huge water spots all over the back of the trunk. Basically 0 attention to detail and way way overpriced. Will not be going back here. read more

I have been going to the Flagship car wash in DC for years. Over time, they have gotten worse and worse. Several reviewers already pointed out that the wipe-down after the wash is sloppy. They spend very little time drying the car. So, door handles, windows, and back of the car still drip with water when you drive it off the lot. They also do a miserable job cleaning the area just under the doors. I have had mud in those areas, went through car wash, and came back with the mud still there! Recently, they have added a contractor who is trying to sell you windshield chip fixes. He now has a buddy who presses small, ignorable chips to make sure he can sell the service. That is just not acceptable! I am going to look for another car wash that does a better job for the price and does not try to sell anything other than car wash. read more

This is the worst car wash I have ever had. There were leaves left under the hood, a layer of dirt under the spoiler and bird poop and other dirt remaining. When I asked about it, the man yelled at me and said I would have to pay more to remove the exterior dirt from the car. I am never coming here again and do not recommend this car wash to anyone. read more

Love this place. This has always been my regular place, but after seeing a coupon online (groupon or living social), I went to Mr. Wash on 13th Street. I was having issues with my antenna not going down so I asked the staff there to try to help me figure out how to get it to go down... but no one was interested in helping me, so I finally manually pushed it down. Little did I realize that once they started up the car to drive it thru the wash, the antenna went up again. I was already inside paying. Obviously no one cared enough to note that my LARGE antenna was sticking up, so my antenna snapped in two...$250 later I am regretting having bought that coupon. Today I went back to Flagship after returning from ski trip to WVA where my car got covered in salt and dirt. These guys did their usual great work, and even unscrewed a small blue tooth antenna that was on my car...and put it back on after the wash. I never had to point that out. You just get the feeling that these guys run a good business...everyone wears the same uniform and like 6 guys simultaneously go to work on your car after it comes out of the wash...fast and efficiently spraying interior and exterior windows and dashboard, etc. read more

This is a typical in-city car wash. It's quick, decent, and expensive. But, since the restaurant opened next door, it has also become crowded and dangerous. There is inadequate space for the employees to dry the cars and perform add-on services, resulting in services being performed in the very busy alley and at lightening speed. Consequently, service has become extraordinarily poor. I agree with the posting by Tanya that the onsite manager has very little tolerance for complaints, even when the complaints concern unsafe situations or car damage. If you want to get your car washed quickly, and most of us do, it's fine to take your car here. However, I suggest that you leave your children at home, as the intensity of the operation and the number of moving vehicles in the narrow alley make this a dangerous situation for little ones. You also should suck it up and not complain if you have a service problem. See you in-line at the car wash! read more
