I went to three Boston area bridal shops during my dress search and Flair was by far my favorite - and ended up being the location I purchased my wedding dress from! First and foremost, Kaitlyn was a rockstar. She took out all of the stress and made it fun. (The fact that she genuinely seems like she's having fun herself makes it all the better an experience!) She took feedback seriously and reflected it in the dresses she would bring out. I couldn't recommend her more! The space itself is really cute and welcoming. I brought 4 people with me, and there was just enough space (may be tight if you have more than that). I had my wedding dress shopping appointment at Flair and I only brought my mom (you're allowed 2 guests). Katie was our consultant and did a wonderful job of making us feel comfortable. We got right down to business, as I had already found another dress I loved at another store. Katie did a great job of steering the appointment and giving me options to try on (even though she'd have to steam everything later). I had the most amazing experience at Flair. Miss Katie Silk made the process fun but also helped to ease my anxiety. She listened to me and what I wanted, I ended up putting on a dress I absolutely loved, one that I did initially choose myself but one she picked off the rack. If I could give 10 stars, I would! Being a bride-to-be in COVID has been challenging enough, but Flair created such a wonderful, safe and extra-hygienic experience for us to still enjoy ever minute of the wedding dress shopping experience. For starters, Zoe is an incredible consultant and professional when it comes to the entire end to end wedding dress process. It was so clear that she had extensive experience in the bridal industry - from the personal and intelligent questions she asked me before selecting/trying anything on, to the detailed touches she added to every dress I tried on to give me better perspective around what this would actually look like on my wedding day. Zoe was simultaneously tactical and personal when she selected dresses for me to try on, all of which were very comfortably within my budget. I really appreciate that Flair prioritizes this in the consultation, as it can always get tempting as a bride to try things on and fall in love with dresses way outside of budget! While Zoe stuck to the styles I originally presented her with, she threw in a "wildcard" dress to try on, which was the complete opposite style of anything I've ever tried on. She took this risk based on a calculated assessment of what flattered my body type, neckline and overall composition of what I liked and didn't like based on the previous dresses I tried on. Long story short, this dress blew everything else completely out of the water, with a unanimous, jaw-dropping "WOW" response across all of my bridesmaids, close girlfriends and sisters/mom (only my sister and mom were physically with me at the appt). I even tried on more dresses after this appointment at different boutiques to make sure I felt confident that there was no other dress out there that flattered me as well, or made me feel as confident as this one. Even after all of those sessions, there was no question around confidently saying yes to this dress at Flair. I would've never expected a dress like this to be "the one". It is so exhilarating how things can look so different on you, even when it's an unimaginable style that you never thought you could pull off. Without Zoe's diversity of thought process and vision, I would've never known I could look so radiant in a dress that I never had any interest in trying on. I love Flair and all of the ladies that work there so much. I decided to start my wedding dress shopping early and this was my first place I tried on. Over there course of 3 months I tried on around 40 dresses or more and went to numerous bridal salons all over Boston and the surrounding area. Not one of the places made me feel as comfortable or confident in my dress selection as Flair did. I ended up getting the second dress I tried on- go figure! I worked with Zoe throughout the process and she was able to match my dress price to a lower price quoted from another store. She also recommended me to Newbury tailors for my alterations which has been the second best decision I made in my wedding dress journey. I also had appointments with Zoe for my veil and my bridesmaids dresses. Zoe and Liz, the office manager, managed all of orders for my bridesmaids and had the dresses all shipped to their homes along with offering them a discount! I wanted a very particular veil and Zoe made that happen as well. We ended up ordering a two tier veil cathedral length and then the lace separately from Pronovias, my wedding dress brand. Even though Pronovias was hesitant to sell me the lace Flair made it happen! Newbury Tailors sewed the lace on the veil and it matches my dress perfectly and is stunning . I am a little sad now that the entire wedding dress shopping process is over because I am going to miss my regular visits to Flair. The entire team has become my friends and I cannot feel more grateful or appreciative for all of the time and hard work they put into making sure I got exactly what I wanted on my wedding day. Absolutely loved my wedding dress shopping experience at Flair. I was one of those brides who wanted nothing to do with having a wedding, let alone getting a wedding dress. But Stacey and all the girls made my appointment fun, and really understood what I was looking for in a dress. I was looking for a specific dress and Flair had it in stock, they squeezed me in immediately and were just so gracious and fun to work with. So rude. I am a bridesmaid in my brothers' wedding and pregnant and they weren't accommodating at all. Basically convincing the bride I could order a dress that would never fit a growing pregnant body. And when I said I was the client, they said they had an obligation to the bride not the person paying for the dress. Also, the only way I was given to order was by phone, and they never picked up the phone. Really terrible customer service, at least if you aren't the bride. read more

I came to Flair with 3 of my 5 bridesmaids to select bridesmaids dresses. Our sales associate, Madison, was very helpful in showing us the colors/styles we requested, as well as showing us the different options for how to tie the dress (we chose the Jenny Yoo Annabelle). She gave her opinion appropriately and tastefully (which helped us a lot!) The other 2 bridesmaids were able to call in their measurements (from out of state) with ease. Both Madison and the office manager, Liz, were very responsive via email and helped to answer several questions that I had after my visit to the store. We had one minor miscommunication about pricing and Liz was able to fix that without any hesitation or problem, which really showed Flair's customer service. Overall, we had a great experience. One of my best friends asked me to be a bridesmaid in her upcoming wedding, and I happily agreed. She has a very specific idea of the color and style of the dresses she'd like us girls to wear and has had a hell of a time trying to find it. She and I (as well as the other BM's) have spent hours scouring the internet looking for dresses that would work. Finally, the bride found a few options at Flair online, and she excitedly made an appointment for us all. Now, all of the bridesmaids have either been married or have been in weddings before, so we knew what to expect going for a bridesmaids dress fitting. Or so we thought. What a disappointment. I can't even tell you the name of the associate(s) who interacted with us because they never introduced themselves to us. We arrived 1-2 minutes early, and the bride was there about 10 minutes before that, as we were told appointments are STRICTLY one hour (starting at 3 in this case). Which would have been totally fine, except they didn't even start to talk to us until 20 minutes after our scheduled appointment time, and were rushed out at exactly 4pm. Myself and one other bridesmaid are not sample sized girls (I'm a street 14 and she is a 16 I believe). When I have been at other places trying on dresses, the protocol was to try on a dress, then they would be clipped by an associate to see how they would fit once altered. This did not happen and resulted in us walking out of the dressing rooms completely exposed on the backside. It's difficult to find time in schedules that all of us could get together and try on dresses (as with every bridal party ever). The fact that we were only allowed half of our appointment and the sales staff was beyond unhelpful deflated and stressed out the bride. As a bridesmaid, it's so disheartening to see your friend upset and not be able to do anything about it. Particularly in this case because it was so avoidable. I am professionally trained in customer service and am an experienced bridesmaid/bridal gown shopper. This was a very bad experience, and could have been rectified by simply listening and being present in the moment with us. The dress of her dreams may have been there, but we will never know because her likes and dislikes were not heard, and she was given misinformation several times. A wedding is such a personal and intimate event, and we were made to feel like we were shopping at Wal Mart for some tube socks. Flair bridal doesn't carry their own brand. Everything they sell is available elsewhere. That means they need to stand out in some way to win people's business. Well, they definitely stood out. I'm 30. That means I'm of the age where everyone I know seems to be buying homes, getting married or having babies. Since I, myself have been recently married, many people entering this stage of their life have asked my opinion on places to go and people to call. Flair will NOT be on that list. Additionally, I work in hospitality and talk to literally thousands of people every week. Flair is not on my list of "Definitely make sure you check out". read more

Can I just say, I made three stops on Saturday shopping for bridal gowns and Flair just hit the nail right on the head. First and foremost, I made a super last minute appointment. My MoH was in town from out of state and really wanted to be there, and Flair was completely accommodating and fit us right in. Second, I love that it isn't a giant warehouse. The shop is small, but in a kitschy, sweet kind of way. I had my mother, sister, niece, and MoH there, which they were happy to accommodate. We were the only ones there and it just felt really intimate and special. Thirdly, Lindsay is fabulous. I had just come from L'Elite where the entire time was spent trying on dresses I was not interested in at all just so they could push high end sales on me. Lindsay was incredibly nice, knowledgable, and most of all, she really listened to my critique and what I liked and didn't like about each dress. She knew the right questions to ask. I never felt rushed and was able to really soak in each detail, even when I was torn between two gowns. I am buying my dress here. Part of that is because I fell in love with the dress I found, but part of it was also due to the experience. I felt special there and I felt taken care of and not like just another bride. The girls there are young, but they are incredibly professional and you can tell they are really passionate about what they do. To me, that makes a world of difference. Pricing is up $3,000, which is great if you have a lower budget of say $0-$1,000. I am honestly a little sad we didn't do the whole bridal party here. We did find an adorable flower girl dress for my niece as well, which was also very reasonably priced. Overall, I am thrilled with my experience here. I would give Flair negative stars if I could. My friend's daughter flew in from out of state, and she'd made an appointment at Flair. The first red flag was when the saleswoman ushered M into the fitting room, hung a few gowns on a hook, closed the curtain, and said, "Let me know if you need a hand with anything." For anyone who's never tried on a wedding dress, it's not a DIY event. The next problem was that every sample was a size 6 or 8, and M is not. Yet the saleswoman (I've blocked her name) kept trying to squeeze her into gowns that made her look like a sausage. It's hard enough to try on dress after dress and keep one's spirits up; it's ridiculous when the person who's supposed to help makes the experience so much worse. Finally, even though all three of us had told her the styles M did and didn't like, the saleswoman insisted on bringing out unflattering dresses for her to try. Our suspicion is that they were the only samples on hand larger than a 10. We were so grateful we'd had two lovely fitting experiences--that day and a couple of days before. (Bridal Heirlooms in South Hadley, and Camilla's in Arlington.) Otherwise, our experience at Flair might have soured M on the whole idea of getting a beautiful gown. So unless you're very skinny and enjoy truly laissez faire service, please stay away from Flair. Don't believe the hype. read more

I had such a phenomenal experience working with Stacey and her team at Flair, that I not only bought my wedding dress from them, but also went there for my bridesmaids, my veil, and even after the wedding, to get my dress cleaned and preserved. Stacey was so helpful and supportive the whole time, too- she recommended the tailor I used and loved, I consulted her on shoes... so many questions, and she was great. I always had such a nice time there, I wanted to keep going back! And, most importantly, she helped me pick my dress, which I adore. It wasn't just "the" dress, it became "my" dress. My first experience visiting the shop was a Friday afternoon with my parents. Stacey was fun and enthusiastic, and really listened to what I wanted. I had been to about five places before then, so I had a sense of what worked. I was looking for a pretty simple dress, and tended to gravitate towards light-weight (literally, not heavy) dresses. Even within the 'simple' category, there were a variety of choices (a great testament to her selection), and I then found myself struggling to choose. There was no pressure, and we didn't buy one that day, but she did leave me with great advice--to wear something that I will feel spectacular in, and nothing else matters. I thought about the dress and mulled over it, and then made another appointment to go in one weekday afternoon by myself, to try on the dress that had stayed on my mind. With just the two of us there, I finally made the choice. I went back a few months later on a Friday afternoon with two of my four bridesmaids, and again had a great time- Stacey was fun, encouraging, and guided us through the selection process. I wavered a bit on color after the appointment, and via phone and email, and swatches sent in the mail, we settled on a color that was perfect, and dresses that were not your standard bridesmaid look. I love how they turned out. Even though it took me a while to finally commit to the wedding dress I picked, as the months passed and I got it fitted I fell in love with it, and felt as spectacular as Stacey said I should on the day. As undecided as I was going in, in retrospect, it seems inevitable that I would wear the dress that I picked. As in, of course that had to be what I looked like on my wedding day. I don't think it's so much about finding "the one" (that's my husband not my dress!) as it is being guided through the process, being listened to, and being given the space and comfort to feel good about making the choice. In the end, on the day, I think it's all about your own confidence, and that seems to be what guides the staff at Flair. read more

Not only but be careful when purchasing anything there because they will not accept any return even though you dont have the dress yet. They will lie saying they tell you about their policy. While Flair is known as a top bridesmaid boutique, I recently bought my wedding dress from the boutique. I started with Flair, not wanting to be overwhelmed by racks of taffeta and ballgowns. Leah was amazing in making my mother and future mother-in-law comfortable while I selected the dress of my dreams. The price was amazing as well. If you are worried about spending thousands of dollars on a dress, Flair is a great alternative. Leah even followed up with me when the store received a birdcage style veil I had been looking for. I absolutely LOVED working with Flair! I went here for my wedding dress and am so glad I did. I went in with one style of dress in mind, but after being shown a number of styles similar to what I'd explained, they also showed me some other options they thought would suit me. They were absolutely right and I ended up buying one of the dresses they recommended and couldn't have been happier. I worked with Lindsay who was very helpful and patient. No one I worked with there was at all pushy or too sales-y, and I truly felt as though everyone genuinely had my best interest at heart in making sure I felt beautiful on my wedding. The dresses I saw started around $800-$1,000 and went up to about $3,000, so a wide assortment. They seemed to have more bridesmaid dresses than wedding dresses, so even though I didn't end up using them for my bridal party as well I would definitely recommend them for bridal parties. I've been to several bridal shops in search of my wedding dress, and no experience was like at Flair. Their staff (Kaitie worked with me) had done all her research to know my style, get familiar with the venue and vibe, and pick only things that truly spoke to me. She was AMAZING - she and incredible energy and knowledge of the designers and she really cared that you found exactly what you wanted and felt confident in your choice. Within trying on the first two dresses, I knew we were walking out with one! She was efficient but not pushy, provided incredible feedback without trying to influence my decision, and I didn't feel rushed at all even though we had a short timeframe. The shop was impeccable and houses truly unique and beautiful designs. While there was another bride in the shop at the same time, it felt like we had the place to ourselves, as the set up is great. And most importantly, unlike other places, Kaitie knew the budget we were working with and didn't stray. I have to agree with Laura, I willl never recommend this place!! My friends and I shopped around Newbury street bridal shops and thought Flair will be higher quality than others since they are specialize in bride and bridesmaid dresses. All five of us were measured by the professional that's been with the shop for 5 years now. She was friendly and said our sizes will fit us. When we got our dresses, they were ALL TOO BIG!!! and the material of the dress is so cheap! nothing like the one in the store. maybe its the same girl that work with Laura and learned her lesson with too small dresses, therefore recommend all of us a size too big! i guess its easier to cut the fabric off than extend them. The problem is the dresses were difficult to tailor and cost is half of the dress. I emailed the Flair and the only thing they said was we are sorry that it didn't work out.
