I ordered a mini bowl with white meat and broccoli only. This is how much water was in the bowl! Every bite of my broccoli was filled with so much water as if it was a soup. I can't explain how disappointed I am. I ordered fresh vegetables and chicken and I understand that when we steam vegetables there can be some leftover water but not to this extent .. this is a Poor excuse of a bowl. Some BS. Note* this is the 3rd TIME this has happened. Anyone else?

    It's called, "The Works"

This place originally franchised out of Orange County...if that is so, why did I find it in Apple Valley? I never heard of The Flame Broiler, only seen the signs as I drove along Bear Valley Road, so on this day of immediate hunger I wanted something different...fresh. Healthy. I stumbled upon this lovely place. Located across the parking lot of 'Best Buy' and 'Bed, Bath, and Beyond' I walked into this joint and saw a menu of pictures, a good way to entice the tongue's palette of someone hungry. I was greeted by a happy lady, informed me of the fresh ingredients and the 2-day marination of their thinly sliced meet. I ate at places like this before, but this place is pretty good. I ordered "the works" plate because my ass was hungry. Thin sliced meat, cut chicken breast (not too dry, and full of flavor), and fresh steamed vegetables (not soggy or dampened by water) served over a bed of brown rice (brown rice is optional). Add a side of shredded cabbage with a sesame dressing salad and a wedge of orange and you have yourself a delicious, simple, meal. Adding the special sauce does make a difference, and the red sauce is a little too spicy for me, but if you like a kick, add it. Oh, and if you feel a bit adventurous, there are meals off the menu. It's a good place for a fulfilling, and light, meal. If I stumble upon The Flame Broiler in the OC, I am going to expect the same amount of deliciousness, if not better.

We placed an order online and showed up and they were closed.

Came here the other day. Placed an order online and it said it would be done by 1142 we showed up and it was closed. Good thing we chose to pay in person and not on the app. We waited around till about 1230 and it remained closed.

    Lunch time.

Even with plenty of servers on the floor, it was difficult to get a drink. I really liked what they did with the back room, turning it into a designated area for watching sports on TV. The remodel looks great, and the space has a really nice new feel. I ended up staying for dinner, although in hindsight, I probably should have just had my drink and left. At 5:55 p.m., I placed my order separately, about 10 minutes before everyone else at our table. There were three orders placed at our table. I ordered a ribeye and shrimp, mixed vegetables, and a baked potato with butter only. At approximately 7:25 p.m., our waitress brought everyone else's food, but my meal was still not ready. Throughout the wait, our server continued checking on us regarding drinks and kept us updated that my food was still being prepared. I even went up to the kitchen/food counter myself to see if my order was ready. I continued checking back about every 10 minutes. Finally, around 8:05 p.m., my food arrived. I immediately noticed that the baked potato had not been prepared as I requested--it had toppings on it instead of being plain with butter. The server offered to take it back and have them redo it, but after waiting more than two hours, I told her I would just take it. I cut into my ribeye, and I have to say, it was cooked to perfection. The plate looked great, and everything appeared appetizing. Unfortunately, the entire meal was very cold. I let our server know, and again she offered to have the food remade. At that point, I didn't want to wait another two hours for another meal, so I declined. I completely understand that REPUBLIC has just reopened and that some of the staff may be new. Opening a busy restaurant after renovations can certainly come with challenges. My comments are meant to be constructive. My suggestions would be to add food runners to help the kitchen get meals out to the tables quickly and to have more people behind the bar to keep drinks moving. The remodel looks great, and I really like the new sports-watching area. Now the restaurant needs to focus on getting food to the tables in a timely manner while it's still hot, as well as getting drinks out more efficiently. Shoutout to "Reese" she is a very attentive server. Also noticed she was helping out other servers at the pos machine. I would definitely be interested in coming back once they have had some time to work out the opening-week growing pains. The potential is definitely there.

The menu has the typical fare found in other sports bars and pubs. There is even a make your own pasta option. The menu is extensive. I ordered a ribeye steak as it was recommended by previous reviewers. It came with soup and salad options and a side. I chose a clam chowder soup and broccoli as my side. Food comes out of the kitchen as it is made so, if in a large group (10+), be prepared for a rather long wait and plates coming out piece meal. The generously sized ribeye steak was at the requested medium rare temperature but it was a very thin cut. It was seasoned simply with salt and pepper. The steak was tender and juicy with a good char grilled flavor. The broccoli was cooked to a crisp tender and tasted good. Clam chowder came out of the kitchen only a few minutes before my main so I enjoyed that with my steak. This was a good tasting chowder, albeit with more potatoes than minced clams. There seems to be a blue cheese tanginess in the chowder which is different from the usual. If there was cheese, it was a good flavor addition. This restaurant would be perfect for large groups in general as there is plenty of space to accommodate. It was not what we were looking for as a club meeting place due to the overall loud background music but the food and beverage options here are A1. Their fish and chips and BBQ ribs looked particularly appealing. I would certainly return to get another good meal here.

The atmosphere is cozy it has that warm, comfort-food vibe that just makes you relax and enjoy your time. The food definitely delivers on that "home-style" promise. We ordered a variety of dishes: the country fried steak skillet, the hobo skillet, and the chicken fried steak--all hearty, flavorful, and satisfying. I went with the cinnamon French toast, and for just $4.49 extra, it came with eggs and a choice of sausage or bacon (I picked sausage). Everything was absolutely delicious. Portion sizes are generous--we couldn't finish everything and ended up taking boxes home, which honestly just means we get to enjoy it again later for brunch! This is a perfect stop if you're traveling along the I-15--especially for road trippers or truck drivers looking for a solid, comforting meal. Just keep in mind they're open from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, so plan accordingly. Definitely recommend if you're craving good, filling comfort food in a welcoming, homey setting
