This review is pertaining to my online ordering experience. I ordered around lunch time and a got a mixed bowl and added kimchi for an additional +$1.50. I was quoted 20-40 minutes by Grubhub but I ended up coming in closer to the 50 minute mark. Got there expecting my order to be ready and I would be in and out, but unfortunately they didn't even know about my online order. On top of that they did not have Kimchi which I was disappointed in and was one of the main reasons I went to FB instead of other rice bowl fast food joints in the area. The person at the register was sympathetic about not having the order ready as well as them not having the Kimchi and offered me avocado instead and quoted me about 5 minutes until it was ready. I thought I'd been given priority since they missed my order but I waited for my order like any other person walking in. I understand they were busy since it was at the peak of lunch hour and it could have simply just been missed...it happens, but they could improve their online ordering process because why would you order online in the first place if you're going to wait in line like anyone else. read more

Love this location. Right next to 24 Hr Fitness so it's perfect for the post meal workout. Always busy but they always manage to provide quick and friendly service. Highly recommend! My go to spot for lunch. Under $7.50 for a healthy plate of white rice and chicken. Can't beat that! Plus when you order in advance you save the usual wait of a Line + waiting for the order to be made. I don't think I've ever gotten excited about getting food from here. But once you open up your bowl, drizzle some of that magic sauce and Sriracha all over your chicken/beef veggies - you'll find your mouth start to water and after the first bite, heck, it's pretty delicious! I always get a mini chicken bowl w/ brown rice; tasty AND healthy. This baby bowl only clocks in at 370 calories (add 35 cal for an ounce of magic sauce) and is about $5 bucks. It fills me up and I don't feel the need to log in an hour of cardio time after. On an eff your diet kind of day, get a regular, half chicken, half beef bowl w/ white rice & veggies. You'll still feel somewhat healthy and it'll still only be less than $10. read more

I like this place because the price is reasonable and the food is fairly healthy. Ok so I know it's a Flame Broiler chain restaurant so I know what I'm gonna get as far as food is concerned. It's the customer service (or incredible lack thereof) that has caught my attention. I've been here a few times; the first being only days after they opened. It was a complete mess. The employees hadn't yet grasp the fact that customers would like their food in a timly manner. I, along with two other customers who ordered before and after me, waited about 20 minutes - no joke, I timed it - to get our food. All three of us got a rice bowl, that's it. The guy who ordered before me, his order was wrong. The guy who ordered after me, his order was wrong. So I guess I was the lucky one only having to wait 20 minutes for the obviously overwhelmed employees in the back scramble together to throw some rice, veggies and chicken in a bowl...."they're new, they're still working out all the kinks" is what I told myself. The second time I went there the employee at the counter was looking down texting on his phone as I walked up. I waited their until he was finished.....maybe there was something SO important that it couldn't wait a minute and a half for the customer standing in front of him (me) to order. He looks up and is about to take my order and as I start talking his receives a response text and tells me to "hold on". I start looking around for hidden cameras because I'm convinced that the only way this type of horrible service could be permissible is if I'm on some sort of Howie Mandell hidden camera show. He finally finishes and takes my order. I was too hungry to go somewhere else. That was strike two for this place. Strike three occurred a few days later. I went in hoping that the chubby Asian kid who would rather text than help customers wasn't working. To my dismay, he was there in all his 'what not to do' customer service. He and another employee were having a conversation when I walked in. By the time I got to the register they were still talking. I stood there mesmerized by their awesome ability to ignore the only customer in the restaurant obviously waiting to order. "Excuse me" I exclaimed, with a healthy dose of disdain. All I got in response were dirty looks from both employees. I simply turned around and walked out. I will NEVER return to this Flame Broiler location and I have already started to tell my friends who live in the area not to go here either. If you are reading this trying to decide whether or not to dine here, DON'T. Drive 5 more minutes to the Flame Broiler down Sand Canyon and Irvine Center Drive. Great place for a healthy and quick pick up! Flame Broiler has many locations and this one is most convenient for me. I can go to 24 hour fitness and work out, then come by here to pick up a quick lunch and take it back to work. They get pretty busy during the week around lunch time, but still are able to get you your food quickly. For about $5 you can get a mini bowl with chicken and rice (brown or white) with green onions. Drink and veggies cost extra. They have a couple options of different vitamin waters for drink options which is interesting. I've never tried them, but if you're a fan of vitamin water over soda - this is a good spot to go. The mini bowl is just enough food to fill me up. The regular bowl is a little too much - I always have leftovers. The beef and chicken are really tasty, not too salty or chewy and taste great with the teriyaki sauce they have. They have a plate option as well with chicken/beef, rice and salad but I don't even see too many people opting for this item. The bowls are the most popular choice. Also! Look at the front window before you go in - they usually have a sign for specials. When I have gone the last few times there's a special for $6.99 which includes a drink and regular chicken bowl which is a great deal. I usually figure this out when I'm sitting and eating my mini bowl and drink for $7 and look up and see the sign. Good food and friendly staff, looking forward to my next visit! read more

If you order anything besides regular dishes this place doesn't know how to create them. I have asked for the beef plate with veggies only and I got literally half of uncooked cabbage on my plate that was impossible to eat. The beef was tough, overcooked and not palatable. Clean location with friendly staff, however we came at 1pm and it was packed and they were extremely understaffed and out of white meat chicken :( I felt bad for the staff they were working their butts off to accommodate the customers. My recommendation would be to avoid coming in around the lunch rush especially on week day.
