" Nope sorry" is what she said. It was 9:05 when I was able to get inside. She obviously was too lazy to serve, so I won't argue. Waste my time, won't work overtime, and impolite. I eat at several different FB locations and must say this is the only location that gives you less meat compared to other Flame Broilers. I come here almost twice a month and visit the one by my gym several times per week after workouts. The brown rice is always under cooked. Went to eat here, the food came out to fast and that was a red flag to me. Then i noticed that they had food that hadn't been given to a previous customer and was sitting on the counter. They gave me old food and i paid 17$. Not happy about this. The beef was raw and the chicken was burnt. The rice was very hard and undercooked. Also I noticed them heating up bowls in the microwave. not a bad alternative to the other restaurants in the area.. i'd imagine this place gets packed for lunch. as previously stated, taste is on par with rascals, but i'd say that this place is a lot healthier. as far as overall taste goes, i don't think TFB/rascals can come close to the hole in the wall teriyaki joints in the ghettoest-of-ghettos. the price was pretty good compared to the restaurants west of PCH that serve you $14 chicken teriyaki plates; portion size on the chicken/veggie bowl was kinda meh... coulda used more veggies. a lot of chicken, though! the fork dispenser is cool. pass on the magic sauce. that stuff was way too sweet. customer service - as i was walking out, a couple was looking at one of the big posters outside, which looked to be a menu. a man, who i assumed to be a customer interjected and stated, "hi, i wrote the menu.. is there anything that i can help you with?" not sure if that's the owner of that particular location, but if it was, keep up the good work. that's quality customer service. if it wasn't, =X. 4/5. read more

Pleasantly surprised. For $6.50 I got a drink and a chicken and rice bowl (brown rice). I added the spicy sauce and another sauce to it and it tasted great. They had another menu which showed their health benefits and the foods they serve which made me feel like it was a healthier establishment. The girl working there was doing a great job. read more

I decided to give this place a try, since I was waiting for my husband to see his doctor down the way. The place looked clean and not to busy. I walked in and ordered a medium bowl with half chicken, half beef, and veggies. The total with a drink was around ten dollars. Once they called my order, I took my food to the table. My medium size bowl was filled half way with little food. This is my first time eating here, so I'm not sure if that's normal portion size. I thought to my self that's a little pricey for such little food. I ended up having to leave before I tried it. Once I got home I tried it. Even though it was cold it still tasted good. Make sure to check your order before you leave. I paid extra for avocado and saw that I didn't have it once I was home. I am a regular here since I work down the street. Lately I've noticed their portions are getting smaller every time I go in. Today I got the usual regular chicken bowl with veggies and all. Got back to my work to eat and found they gave me much less this time not even to the lid. I also go to the Torrance location and they fill the bowl to the top to where you can barely put the lid on. It was not worth 8 bucks at all. Won't be going back anymore. The guy that works here is nice and that's why they got 2 starts or else it'd be One star. read more

I went there to order dinner takeout on Wednesday evening, August 10. As I ordered, a wave of people came in, and there were only two people working--a friendly lady at the counter and a guy in the back kitchen. They were suddenly swamped, and I waited nearly a half hour for my food. When I got home, I noticed that they got my order wrong. I called right away and told them that I knew they were swamped, but that they got my order wrong. A guy on the other line said I could come back and they would redo the order. I said that we had waited so long, it would be a hassle to go back tonight and wait again for the food. It would turn out to be a dinner much later than we were hoping. He then asked for my name and phone number so that the next time I visited the store, I would get a complimentary bowl. I gave him my name and number, and that was it. On Friday, August 12, at about noon, I went back to Flame Boiler and there were two different people--a woman at the counter and a guy in the back. I mentioned that my order was wrong a couple nights before, and that the guy said I would get a complimentary bowl. She looked at me as if she never heard that before. She said she didn't know anything about it. I said that the guy I spoke to took my name and number. After giving my name, she walked to her monitor and flipped a couple pages and said she didn't see anything saying that. She asked to see my receipt....I didn't have it with me, but since I gave the guy my name and number, I thought they would have it listed there somewhere. The lady then said she had to talk to the manager. She went to the window and told him something in Spanish. He looked at me like I was crazy, and looked as if he was going to laugh. Perhaps he thought I was just scamming for a free meal. He asked who I talked to. I said I didn't know his name, but it was a guy. He said he didn't know anything about it. The woman shrugged her shoulders. I walked out. They lost a customer. I won't be back there anymore. read more

Since I've moved out here from Wisconsin I've tried finding quick yet healthy restaurants to go to on days when I'm being rushed everywhere. These guys have been great. The staff is super friendly and they get to know their customers...(I guess I'm frequent enough lol) They are always so quick and efficient and the food is great. I wish I could remember the one woman's name who usually rings me up because she's fantastic! Even though I'm in there for a brief time, her hard work doesn't go unnoticed. I frequent several Flame Boilers however this is my first time at this location and last. I have no time for ignorant nonsense. I placed a simple phone order; chicken plate and asked that the salad be placed in a separate container. Worker asked why I wanted a separate container for my salad. Instead of hanging up in her face I explained that I heat my food up for lunch and would prefer not to microwave my salad. She said ok but when I get there she starts to lecture me about how technically they are not suppose to separate the saad from the plate itself because then the salad becomes a separate side order. Huh? Are you kidding me???? So what do you want me to pay extra for the cost of the small 3oz container you had to put my salad in? I mean come on, damn plate combo is 8.61 you're going to lecture me and give me a sad story about how you're breaking company policy by separating my salad so that I don't microwave it this evening when I eat lunch? Went here during my lunch break with my friend. We placed our orders and sat down waiting for our food. My friend's order was called, as she went to go get her order the worker Nida dispensed it to someone else. My friend told the worker that that was her order number. Nida then told the other customer that he took her order and it was not his. The man replied with "Well it's the same thing I ordered, can't I have this one?" and the worker Nida said "Ok"!!!! We were on our lunch break and only had so much time to eat. My friend did not even get an apology from either the rude man who took her order nor the worker who ALLOWED him to take it. She had to wait for them to remake her order. This was just really rude service. They should double check who they are giving out the correct order to, otherwise seems like just anyone can walk up and get which ever order they want! Never coming back here again!!! read more
