    Burnt food

Burnt cauliflower. Yuck. I ordered through door dash and it's quite disgusting how they served fully burnt food. I paid extra for this. What a waste of $26!

I tried Moonbowls for the first time through delivery. The food was amazing! Presentation was perfect, even their color scheme is so pretty. Delivery was fast & their customer service was on point. Very attentive & communicative from the beginning. Here is a picture of the Chili crunch cucumbers & Avocado Bulgogi

i'm a little picky when it comes to the korean rice bowl joints that are out there cuz i'm big on textures in addition to being somewhat of a kimchi snob (i'm korean, i can't help it). i really like moonbowls because the kimchi's got the right amount of tang that you achieve by letting it age a bit longer than most folks are used to i got the impossible beef salad with a side of glass noodles (she's tending to her health, okay?) with roasted sweet potatoes, corn salad and kimchi with the gochujang sauce and it was so good! was a great late-night-at-the-office dinner :) it was also cute that the bag matched my desk accessories lol

Even…read moreduring the weekend lunch rush, I've always been able to get seated without much of a wait since the dining room is fairly spacious. I've tried quite a few dishes here, but my favorites are the galbi, tofu soups, and dolsot bibimbap. The galbi is definitely on the pricier side for the portion, but the quality and flavor of the beef make it worth ordering every time. The dolsot bibimbap is a generous portion, especially if you're sharing another entrée, and the crispy rice at the bottom is done just right. My go-to tofu soup is the kimchi and beef with medium spice, which always hits the spot. Everything comes out piping hot and is served with a generous selection of banchan. The restaurant is located in a plaza with plenty of parking. If you're in the South Bay and craving authentic Korean food without making the drive to Koreatown, this is an easy recommendation.

We got here on a Friday mid-afternoon and they were able to accommodate our large party fairly quickly, which was nice. Service was okay- there were about 2 people taking our orders. I'm not quite sure if it's because our group was large but some items came out fairly late/they needed to be reminded of our orders because it wasn't coming out in a timely manner. We ordered everything from tofu soup, kalgooksoo, dumplings, beef, cold noodle soup, fish, and etc...The portions are generous but not all the food tasted good. Please don't get me wrong, it wasn't the worst but the flavor was lacking in some (such as the cold noodle and kalgooksoo dishes). Out of what was ordered, I would say the dumplings were the best. Parking is able in the plaza. Overall, an okay place but not somewhere I'd go out of my way to come back to.

There was so much meat in this dish we had leftovers for the following nights. It comes with meat, chewy glass noodles, rice cake, potato, sweet potato, carrot, and pumpkin! The banchan was also really good we had to ask for extra. Everything here tasted super delicious and authentic! I highly recommend checking out this hidden gem.

So this is my honest experience of this restaurant from my visit today at dinner time…read more It's not good. It about 60% full. Our food was mediocre at best. We ordered the galbi combo with spicy tofu. Soup was under seasoned and inedible. The galbi was the cheapest flaken cut you can buy at the Korean market. Its was fatty and full of gristle and was not cooked and was raw in the middle. The staff in Korean were bad mouthing and so sour working there it was sad. If you under staffed and unhappy then go to the back and scream and cuss but Why are you so sour and make sure the customers can hear you while passing by with the food and complain it's too busy ? There was one elderly lady maybe in her 80s with possibly her two daughters. They were sitting there for at least 45 minutes when the waitress came up and said I just want to double check your order that's when they realized that the waitress didn't even put their order in they were saying in Korean that please don't leave. Granny is here and we will get the food out as soon as possible and yet as they were leaving the table, you can see them with a smirk on their face. It was disgusting. The worst part is isn't actually even over there must've been a table of 20 across from us celebrating a birthday and they were there before we were and they must have been served at least an hour after us and the waitresses were so rude to them. I felt so bad for that party, but they looked so laid-back. I don't know if they really even noticed or cared. We ended up trying to pay for 10 minutes to get out of there and finally just got our own containers from the weight station a plastic bag and as they saw that we were leaving they finally took our payment Maybe this was an off night maybe there was a different cook in the back maybe they were so busy that they just couldn't pay attention to flavor any of their food or cook it thoroughly. Maybe they were short and someone called in for staffing. All I know is everyone with the prior reviews seem to have great service and food, but this is definitely not what we experienced and definitely not what the table behind us or the table in front of experienced This was by far hands-down, the worst experience. Hopefully this never happens to you cause we'll never come back.

Second, Haejangguk was quite blend yet reeking meat smell (not sure how else to describe this, wondering if the meat was getting old). Blood was not fresh either imo. Third sundae soup, kinda disappointing seeing only glass noodle filled sundae. If they used real sundae as well, the soup wouldn't have been so blend. Servers were kind and service was fast thus 2 stars.

This soup was a more rich beef soup with enoki mushrooms and noodles. It was amazing and super flavorful. The spice was perfect but may be too spicy for those not accustomed to it. The service was attentive and the food came out quickly. The restaurant is fairly spacious, perfect for small or bigger groups. There is also plenty of parking. And the tables have cute drawers with all your utensils and napkins. So efficient.
