    Chicken and Beef Bento
    Lynda D.

I've been seeing this spot around on social media and have been meaning to try to compare to other hibachi spots. The store itself is quite small with limited seating inside. There is also not too much space when you're standing waiting for your order to be ready. Service is friendly and fairly quick. I got the chicken and beef bento with lo mein and veggies as my 2 sides because I wanted to try a variety for my first time. This came out to around $15 and for the price I think the food is just okay. As compared to other hibachi spots, the food isn't as greasy so that is a plus and their meat is claimed to be halal. Besides that, the food is kind of bland. The dumplings and spring rolls were crispy but they were just basic veggie style lacking flavor and matter of fact the bento states to include 4 dumplings on the menu but I only got 2. The california roll included in the bento was heavy on rice. The portion of chicken and beef with lo mein was perfect but without the orange yum yum sauce it would be lacking in flavor as well (make sure you have the sauce). Maybe i'd return again if i'm craving specifically hibachi but it was below my expectations.

    Salmon Bento

Sure! Here's a quick, honest review based on your experience: --- **Quick Review:** Tried out a new hibachi spot recently -- overall, it was just okay. I got a bento box with salmon, chicken, sushi, dumplings, and spring rolls. Good quantity for the price, but the salmon was a bit of a letdown. The chicken hibachi with beef combo, on the other hand, was flavorful and definitely the highlight of the meal. I also ordered the Thai tea, which had an interesting flavor but was way too creamy and coconut-heavy for my taste -- wouldn't get that again. Prices were reasonable, and it's a halal Muslim-owned business, which is always great to support. Worth trying, but stick with the hibachi options! Ambiance is very casual and not too much eating. Service is quick and they are very hospitable.

specifically requested no teriyaki sauce. plate came with teriyaki sauce. called, let the restaurant know - was offered to remake dish. which I can appreciate. so thanks for that chose to take the L on this one. rather take my business elsewhere. - Alli L

    Green Dragon Sushi

This is a fairly new establishment that I happened upon while visiting VA. It's a Hibachi spot but I had the Wings were fried perfectly and we mixed the mango habanero sauce with hot sauce and it was great! The food was good and the service was great! Koko was very engaging and friendly! Salmon Hibachi looks great! And let's not forget about the Sushi! #Greendragon. If you're in the area check them out...

If I were to compare them with clothing brands, the top tier restaurants would be akin to Hermès: impeccable, yes, but you're refinancing your apartment just to sit at the counter. Takumi is Ted Baker: genuinely refined, quietly stylish, and doesn't require a second mortgage to appreciate. The fish is flown in fresh daily. There is no cream cheese within a 50-foot radius of this kitchen. No yum yum sauce. No roll named after a questionable life decision. Just pristine fish doing pristine fish things. The menu is tight -- bento boxes, focused apps, nothing that needs a paragraph of explanation. The fried oysters and squid tentacles are mandatory. Non-negotiable. Do not test me on this. Then the subtle flex begins: yuzu, truffle, shiso placed with quiet confidence, mango puree that sounds wrong and tastes right, an Old Bay finish that would make Maryland weep with pride, and a Kalamata olive that has absolutely zero business being this good on a sushi menu -- and yet. This is a kitchen that knows exactly what it's doing and doesn't need your validation. For top tier sushi in Falls Church, go with Takumi if you skew towards traditional, go to Yume if you prefer modern more creative options.

The prices are quite good and the portions are generous. I had a full second meal the next day without trying. I got the Yangzhou fried rice and it was very well executed. The meat inside was excellent, with what tasted like lap cheong or a similar Chinese sausage. The egg was fluffy, not burnt, nicely moist, and evenly distributed. Everything tasted fresh and balanced, with real depth of flavor. This is fried rice done properly. The other dish was listed as spicy fried chicken or something, though it was basically a la zi ji. It was excellent. I loved the peppers, and the spices were very aromatic. The frying was done well, clearly cooked in plenty of oil, so not exactly light food, but extremely satisfying. The chicken was crisp and flavorful, and the overall execution was strong. The food came out fast, the prices were low, and the quality was high, and service was good. It's kind of a mini cafeteria style/food hall that contains Vivi Bubble Tea and Com Tam Le Truc. My friend and I stopped by for lunch last Sunday after seeing the list of homey Japanese dishes like donburi, chawanmushi, sukiyaki pot (!!!), katsu curry, etc. The service was pretty good and our food came out pretty quickly. CHAWANMUSHI - 4.95 Steamed egg custard + some enoki looking mushrooms (they're like the bigger version) in a 6 oz cup. A bit steep, but how soft and velvety the egg custard was changed my mind. It was like eating a cloud. And the dashi based broth and mushrooms to go along with it was chef's kiss. My friend and I both enjoyed this! I am curious how the other chawanmushi (specifcally ikura) would be. UNA-TAMAGO DON - 21.95 This was given to us in a to-go container (with a plastic top layer for the eel and egg to separate from the rice). The presentation was extremely sloppy and unappetizing. Everything was soggy and messily put together, like it's been left forgotten for a couple hours after cooking. However, my friend and I are not one to not eat food based on the presentations. We dug in anyway, because unagi is delicious. The rice was well garnished with furikake. The unagi was plentiful and very tender. Our only issue was that the sweet and savory sauce was way too strong. Literally way too sweet and overpowering where it was unbearable after a few bites. We managed to finish all our rice and still had a bunch of sauce (mixed with some egg drop and onions). Overall, if the sauce wasn't that sweet, it would have been a delicious una-tamago don. This place has potential for homey Japanese food. I've been on the outlook for non-sushi Japanese entrees and glad to find a casual spot so close to where I live. I'll be back to try other foods here.

It is a comfort Japanese food place, and was average. However, the food came out very slowly (~30-40 minute wait) despite us being the only customers for the restaurant. There was no one at the front to take our order, and one of the boba shop workers said to order via the kiosk on the boba tea side. We ordered takoyaki, sukiyaki, croquettes (korokke), Pork bowl, and chicken katsu donburi. Everything was veryy sweet. The party agreed that it felt more like a dessert than dinner. The sukiyaki came out about 10 minutes later than everything else, and did overflow onto our table due to overboiling. The experience was good but very self-done.

Even basic items like teas are not included in the price, which is disappointing. It also believe something is being added to the meat to fill you up. I don't know what it is, but whatever it is, it made me feel uncomfortably full after only a small amount of food (4 small wings and 2 thin 1/2 inch slices of meat). That is not a normal or enjoyable AYCE experience. I am not sure where these good reviews are coming from. I have my ideas, and that is that they are giving out rewards for positive reviews. It cannot possibly be because the food is good. I have had similar experiences at the Frederick location as well, so this does not seem like a one-off issue. Overall, it feels like the quality and value are not there. If food has to be altered just to make people feel full and increase profit, then the AYCE model should be reconsidered. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to anymore KPOT locations. There are other Korean BBQ places that don't make me feel sick after eating there.

In the last year, we usually order the Mi Nam Vang and Mi Bo Kho, and both are consistently excellent.
