This is another one of the "All you can swallow" Chinese buffet around town. I only came to sup with a group of friends. I've been to the one at Royal and Central, and Wei Wei in Addison. For some reason this one was pretty dead on a Wednesday night, not sure why because the food is the same as most of the others, but it did have more seafood than most with king crack legs, mud bugs, shrimp and salmon. What a yummy buffet loaded with so many items along with sushi and made to order hibachi!! A counter of desserts , salad, and fresh fruits. On this day there were 10 seafood dishes and 9 chicken entrees along with steak. My favorite was beef broccoli, grilled chicken and a seafood dish. Crab Rangoon are crispy and stuffed full of creamy center. The young man running around seating folks, refilling drinks and picking up dirty plates was so friendly and took good care of everyone. Five family members were in town and, though we knew of the Flaming Buffet, had never been here. In general we were quite satisfied with our experience. They have a good assortment of foods, both hot and cold, a nice selection of sushi, and a Habachi bar. Of course there are also desserts and ice cream. We found everything to be tasty and generally well prepared. I can return with a clear conscious. Came in on a weekday for dinner. Average variety (about 5 bars with hibachi grill and sushi area. The place is fairly large and clean and well lit with many nice chandeliers and bright lighting. Service was good and we were offered drink refills many times. The hibachi grill had a variety -- green onions, mushrooms, broccoli, garlic, beef, chicken, shrimp, jalapeños and some other items. It took about 5-7 minutes before anyone came out to cook the food I had. Looked for a bell or anything to get service but this did not exist. There were some good items -- ribs, clams, shrimp, typical fried and battered food and a variety of salad and fruit with desserts. A few items were not as great. The salmon was gray colored so either it was not salmon, or they sourced from a place that has gray colored salmon. The calamari was almost deep fried to burnt. The fried fish was Swai but it was dyed to a yellow color. Maybe to be festive? Otherwise the quality was to be expected for a buffet and also a weekday night. The main excitement was variety and freedom to return for seconds. I'm not sure if I would go back since buffets are not my top choice. Got sick after eating there just one time! I'm pretty sure it's this new bird flu or something like that. I went in feeling fine and their Dr Pepper started giving me a slight stomach ache. Then the butter made me start coughing immediately, and I knew something was wrong. Decided to give this place a try and it didn't disappoint dinner is 11.49 per person kids 3-10 age are 5.35. Place was very clean and the food was really fresh my daughter tore up their shrimp and crawfish. Loved the fact there fried rice didn't have onions in it as most places do! Listen... this is a Chinese buffet. I don't know why everyone else is complaining. If you've eaten at a Chinese buffet then this is what you expect and it deserves the 5 star rating. Everything is hot. Fresh from what I can tell and will make my blood sugar go through the roof! I'm starting a better eating plan on Monday and decided to knock it out of the park on Friday night. Went to Flaming Buffet on 07/13/23 during lunch and went to the hibachi station to make my plate. The rude cook told me the griddle wasn't ready. I asked him how long it would be and he told me he didn't know. I then asked him again, "Maybe 5-10 minutes?", he said, "Whenever the light turns on!" Being on a time constraint I asked the hostess who seated us if we would pay half price since we are not receiving the full service. She then asked the cook and he said, "I told her a few minutes!!!". Ummm...no you didn't mention that at all! Then he said, "You can leave if you have a problem!" Well that's exactly what we did. The food is "ok". Just a warning to those expecting an $8.99 Lunch (until 3:30): You MUST pay the cashier BEFORE 3:30; if not, you pay dinner price $11.49 (ps: you can't pay when you come in). That wouldn't be so bad except that I had to purposely avoid ALL THE ITEMS marked as DINNER ONLY (I counted 12). And those were the only really good items. Another nearby chinese place pulled this same type of bait and switch on me once. I never went back there. Almost forgot. Don't bother to ask for the Senior 10% discount that they advertise. Came to try this place out since it recently opened. Would say it's on par with other Chinese American buffets. There's plenty of food options meaning there's something for everyone including the kids. I personally gravitated towards the seafood options, crab legs and shrimp, to get the most bang for my buck. They consistently restocked the crab legs and everything tasted fresh! Next to the crab legs, you can find melted butter to dip the meat in. I also enjoyed their salt and pepper crab and shrimp. I tried other items like their crab rangoons and eggrolls and thought they were mediocre. Crab rangoons are hard to mess up but theirs had minimal cream cheese filling. Their sushi also honestly didn't look too appealing to me since the rice to filling ratio was high. There sadly weren't free-standing pieces of sashimi. Dessert options were decent. For fruit, there were fresh orange slices, grapes, cantaloupe, and honeydew in the front. Soft serve ice cream available in the back near the hibachi station. Waiters were good about clearing used/ dirty plates from our table so we would have room for more food. Overall, Flaming is nothing to write home about and food seemed to be hit or miss. The kids enjoyed the dessert bar more then the food options. Lots of variety 8 different stations and plenty of room. There are also a few other locations. The staff was very nice. Not really sure what happened to this place. Its nothing like the other flaming buffet. This place leaves the food out indefinitely. The fried rice was HARD and even bounced like it was uncooked. They poured hot water over food on the buffet (chicken wings) to make it look like it isnt old and dried out. Selection was VERY limited and those selections were not very good. Got flaming buffet via Uber eats. Got the pork low mein. They substituted chicken because they said they were out of pork. It was terrible. There weren't even noodles. In my experience, low mein has noodles. We got the Szechuan triple (beef, chicken, & shrimp). There was another sea food in there. I don't know what it was but it was not shrimp. The crab rangoon was awful as well as the egg rolls. The rice and the dumplings were the only things salvageable. The rest is in the trash. read more

First, the price: Friday 4pm. 2 adults, 1 soft drink, 1 water, came to $32 and change, not what others said aroud $22. Second, Sushi: there were only dried out sushi available, that seems to have sat there for hours, if not overnight. Some sashimi in the back. I requested them to a cook, but he was reluctant to give them out. Rest of the so called Chinese food were mostly dried and hard, fried food, or cookies (likely store bought) and desserts such as jello. Lots of eggrolls, if that's your favorite, enjoy. Poor quality overall. Spicy chicken wings appear to have come from Sam's Club bags. Just like the other location at Lavon Drive in Garland. Visited today (Friday) at 2:30 PM. It appeared to be a "trimmed" down version of a full service. But.....OK. Food was just OK and even with a price of $8.99 I would consider a number of other choices. Additionally funny, I'm over 60 years of age and when I offered my driver's license I was told I could take the regular $8.99 price (which was their normal price between 2:00 and 3:30 PM) or take the "over 60 age price" discount but paying the regular price of $12.99. This restaurant is great for many things such as ice cream, spicy ranch- the pink one, spotless restroom, etc. I definitely will come back soon and I hope your restaurant can improve these little things: 1/ like other chinese buffet, I think you should have chao mein sauce or teriyaki sauce to eat with the noddle. This noddle is the one next to the ice cream . 2/ Dried fish is one of my loved dish. Somehow in your restaurant, dried fish like standing there for hours, and it is oily. 3/ It will be nice if your restaurant can share wifi with customers.
