We opted to have a Chinese buffet meal the other evening. Drove over to Asian Buffet and found the parking lot completely empty during the height of the evening dinner hour. Upon entering the restaurant we found only a few members of the staff and zero customers. There was also a very strong smell of fish items and a slight hint of bleach. We decided to leave and go elsewhere for dinner. What little of the buffet stations we could see appeared to have medium portions of various foods in them, but the complete lack of other diners just didn't encourage us to stay and eat. read more

First time here today. When I arrived at 12:15 pm for lunch there were only about 5 cars in the parking lot. I had a gut feeling it must not be that good. I decided to try it anyway. The buffet had catfish, which I like but also had other seafood that I don't care for. I was hoping to make a salad, but they only had iceberg lettuce and no other veggies for a salad. So I moved on to some green beans, and broccoli vegetable and of course catfish. They also have hibachi so I put together some vegetables and chicken I like and had them cook that. They had some fruit and a small dessert selection. The ice cream looked like ice milk so I didn't eat that. I won't go back unless I just want catfish and green beans and the same thing I had to. This place is total crap! Their food is so bad, it shouldn't be fed to a starving dog. Their fondu is filthy and hasn't been washed in a long time. The "hot" food is cold and the "cold" food seems to be very old. The sushi was warm. The Sweet and Sour Sauce isn't sweet and tastes horrible. The cream puffs were warm and the cream tasted bad. On top of all this.... there's hardly any actual Chinese dishes. My overall experience here was meh.. The thin noodles you typically find in every Chinese buffet with egg and veggies were very dry. The sushi rice was dry! The marinated mushrooms were so sweet I couldn't even taste the one mushroom I ate. At least the tilapia was on point. The service was fine but I did find little fruit flies all over the one desert I wanted to try and that's what made me feel the regret. I usually go to the Chinese buffet next door, which smells a little funky, but the food quality is a lot better. To be honest, the best thing about this buffet is the ambiance. Asian buffet has it right. They offer a very wide selection of delicious items rare on a sushi bar with a variety of expertly prepared, fresh sushi. I found a large selection of delicious seafood, fish and shell fish, in lovely sauces and sautes, lots of veggies and salads and a whole long table of deserts along with pastas, wheat rolls. spring rolls, potatoes. Also the Hibachi grill is plentiful with fresh items of your choosing and the grill master is attentive to your wishes on addins and sauces. he new front desk and hosts are very friendly and helpful and the wait staff provide all you could want of refills and plate removal. This place is a real mixed bag of half-heartedness. The building looks nice, but it faces away from the street. And the area around it looks rather sketchy. The hours are posted on the door are printed on a sheet of plain paper with half the numbers written in marker, half by computer. And the outer door doesn't close all the way. This gives an impression of lack of attention to detail. The furniture looks brand new and the tables are kept spotless between guests. But they keep metal carts of bus tubs full of dishes sitting next to big trash cans on wheels in the dining area rather than in a back area. They leave the doors to the back open, and the back areas look chaotic and messy. And the Muzak they play is probably the worst elevator music you've ever come across. The staff seemed bored and aimless, either standing around doing nothing while fiddling with their phones, or walking around talking in groups. Unlike most buffets, they were content to ignore the used plate sitting on my table and nearly didn't offer to refill my drink before I was done. As to the food. Mediocre is the watchword here. I didn't get sick from anything I ate, but I did lose my appetite fairly quickly. The "white fish" was the usual affair, filets covered in seasoning in a shallow pan of water. The problem was the fish tasted more like the pan than fish, and the seasoning was as if it weren't there. The pork chops were strangely cut with bones running through at odd angles. They were covered with a sweet sticky sauce, tough, and you're not given a knife to go with your fork. The jalapeño chicken was dried out from being on the buffet line too long. The baked salmon suffered the same fate as the white fish and tasted like the pan. The pizza looked like a rubber chew toy you'd give a dog. The stuffed crab were dry and unappetizing. And there were more than a few questionable items like "beef chop" that looked to be a mound of shredded meat sitting in some kind of juice. Overall, it looks like they only put in 50% of the work required to make the place presentable, and only half the effort required to make the food taste good. This place is newly renovated but the food falls extraordinarily below a buffet standard of quality. I don't expect too much when I go to a buffet but the minimum standards are edible, cooked, and clean food. Food unfortunately was not edible or clean. Shrimp was not deveined and everything just tasted awful. Save your money and stomach to go elsewhere. I don't think they will stay in business very long with the effort that they put into caring for the foods they offer to customers. read more

The best thing I can say about this place is that it's CLEAN. Especially the bathrooms. The food is another story. The seafood is not fresh or cleaned properly. My family and I had a good experience here. We love coming to buffets since for larger family gatherings with extended family since there's something for everyone. The place has 250+ items to choose from and a hibachi grill. We do Asian buffets a lot and we go after the stuff that typically that moves quickly. That means it's typically better tasting and fresh. I was going to go to this restaurant with her girlfriend for her birthday and read the reviews that were poor and changed my mind. I did eventually go for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was great and the sushi was really good. I love this little place now and I've been back several times with the same friends and we really do enjoy it it's priced right and I hope it gets more business because They really do have some good things and their hot trays. We have a lovely luncheon at Asian Buffet on May 2, and it was delicious. Everyone in our group thought it was wonderful two ate sushi and the other one ate fried catfish and chicken. Salad were enjoyed by all. Clean and nicely remodeled. Friendly service and efficient. read more

Resturant looks great, but sadly the food isn't. For a refresh/grand opening you can tell its all about business and no heart in food. The crab ragoon cream cheese was sour tasting, the grapes were wrinkly, the melon was so crunchy and gross. Not 1 item was fresh now in season. $40 wasted 2 kids & 2 adults all had waters. The fried chicken was oily and cold and the oil tasted very old. The chocolate fountain is chunky and tasted very off. The pizza was raw dough, the butter in the mini tins are even curdled. While there is lots of steam coming around the "hot" food, the hot food isn't hot. The floor is sticky from lack of proper mopping. I ordered Diet Coke for my drink. It came to our table while we were getting dinner. It was Diet Pepsi. When we checked out, I pointed out that my drink was not Diet Coke.
