Just had a carne asada burrito and my wife had a grilled chicken burrito. They were so good and always are here. Every time we go to Auburn we make sure to come here to eat. Stopped here on the way back from Tahoe to San Jose. Loved their avocado mango salad (!!). 5/5. They search for the best mangos (from places like australia to mexico). Both were perfectly ripe and the mangos were so sweet and juicy. We'd give the tacos a 4.5 because the meat was a little dry but that might have just been bc it cools down so fast. The owner came to check on us as well to make sure we had enough chips (complementary with the tacos!) and salsa and that we were happy with the food, and indeed we were. tldr: 4.5/5 food 5/5 service 5/5 ambience i love that they really put effort into all the little things (making sure ingredients were fresh, perfectly ripe etc) even though it is a fast casual restaurant. highly recommend! read more

I was craving nachos tonight so I asked my co-worker where I should go. She recommended the Flaming Burrito. I've never felt so welcome in a Mexican restaurant in my life! They were so warm and friendly-made me feel like family. Its not often you see a chef come out and interact with his customers. But he did and it was fun! Genuinely friendly customer service-a true rarity these days. I ordered the Super Nachos with grilled chicken and pinto beans (instead of refried beans). The cashier actually let me try their horchata before I added it to my order and I was fascinated with the dispenser-not to mention it tasted delicious and it wasn't sitting in a pitcher getting watered down with ice! That was a first. Also added a churro to the order which I was pleasantly surprised it had creme inside. The nachos were epic! Huge portion-I has a food coma. I'll sleep well tonight! I told them I was resisting licking my plate. Just the right amount of everything and they even let me try both mild and medium salsas. What an amazing experience! Is it copyright infringement if I say " You Quiero Flaming Burrito Grill?" I rarely give the full five stars but this place is REALLY good! I've worked within a mile or two of this place for almost two years but it wasn't until I read the reviews for it that I even realized it was there. Sandwiched between a tobacco store and a nail shop, it is fairly nondescript and you would never realize that such a bomb Mexican restaurant was hiding. I am still full from lunch several hours ago. The food here is good and high quality...and when I say good, I mean AWESOME. When I arrived with my coworkers, the place was packed but was still super clean. We were warmly welcomed, ordered our food and began gorging ourselves on the awesome chips and salsa bar. We ordered a ginormous burrito, chicken fajitas and a chicken fajita bowl and they were all brought to our table. We all raved about our food. One thing however that particularly set this mom and pop place apart was the amazing customer service! We were asked no less than four times how we liked it, if everything was ok, and if we needed anything. This is an order at the counter restaurant, not a sit down and be waited upon place. I was really impressed! I will definitely be back. The only downside will be trying not to make it a daily occurrence. read more

Stopped at this little hole in the wall because I was in the area and carved Mexican. The service was quick and friendly. It's a nice and clean little restaurant. I am having the carnitas specialty plate (my go to favorite meal). The presentation is great. The chips and salsa are home made. The salsa was amazing. I prefer a little more salt on my chips. We drive up here often from Roseville with the kiddos and always go for the carne asada burritos. The steak is super tender and delicious. We are sticklers for good carne and they put out some of the best. No gristle to be found. Complementary self serve chips and salsa bar... house made salsas which they have about 6 and are all really good. The husband and wife that run the place are so friend and nice. They go out of their way to make each customers experience the best. They are really attentive and you know that they love what they do. This.Is.Legit. Fresh, quality ingredient, handmade traditional fare and it was delicious. Fresh chip and salsa bar is excellent- do not skip the Mexican onions. My daughter had the Veggie Burrito with TATER TOTS people. Yum. I had that 2 item combo with a carnitas taco and a chicken enchilada and I will be ordering both again. The red enchilada sauce is especially unique and yummy; richer in flavor than most without being so overbearing. We don't even live in Auburn but we'll be back. Oh! Finish with the churro.
