We ended up here because of a bad experience at another resort. We were happy to be able to get a…read moreroom. The cottage #22 was adorable and immaculate. Everything was cleaned to the point that it was sealed with plastic, including the spoons, coffee maker, glasses, I mean everything! Cute kitchen. Just make sure to bring dishwashing soap and coffee. The porch has a picnic table (bring a tablecloth) with umbrella and a cute grill that also is provided to you like new. You could switch out small propane tank up near office when you need a new one. We were here when nights were cool enough for windows to be open. You may be hot if weather is hot since only a small a/c is provided in kitchen which would definitely not cool off entire cottage. I would also bring a few hooks as there are no hooks on doors which made it difficult to hang towels, robe etc. no hooks or shelf space in shower so a bit difficult to hang washcloth, loofah etc but super clean and comfortable otherwise. The Lakefront is great, lots of room for everyone. Plenty of boats. Not a problem getting one and oars and life jackets are there for you. Large swimming area with a raft to swim out to. Fire pit, bocci balls, ping pong, mini golf lots of grills provided. Staff was very nice. This resort is on a very big hill. Be prepared to walk up a steep hill if you are on top. We were lucky to be closer to the lake. All of the cabins look cute, lots of trees so nice country Adirondack feel. There is no pool on the property but it really isn't necessary. The Lake is beautiful for swimming. I would highly recommend this property.

We picked staying here because we stayed next door last year, and the thought of staying somewhere…read morethat we could cook our own food appealed to us. So, this year, we booked a cabin. Really reasonable prices for a two bedroom cabin, that has a kitchenette, and living room. The resort is right on the Lake, and has a beach, and miniature golf(!) right on site. They provide a small gas grill for BBQ, too. I've no complaints about the place, at all. In fact, I am certain that I've never, ever, been in a cleaner spot in my life. I'm totally serious. They take clean to a new level, here. Every cabin was newly painted. Every possible surface in every room was buffed to a high sheen. Every thing that could be, was shrink-wrapped, just to prove it had been cleaned by them. Honest. Even the hand towels were encased in plastic. The pots, the utensils. Okay, each individual fork wasn't shrink-wrapped, but the utensil tray was. The weirdness of this obsession tickled me, immensely. The cabins are all nestled in a pine grove, all the way down a steep slope to the Lake's edge. It's a very quiet place to stay, which was nice during a rowdy bike event. Most of the year, I'd say this place caters to families. The decor is straight out of the Seventies. Not, cool California Seventies, but Uncle Rosco's basement Rec Room Seventies. I got a little nostalgic, and found myself humming Bay City Rollers songs. Check out the rooms photos on their site. One final note: bring things like dish soap with you. It's not provided.

The foods is terrific and the rooms are spacious and clean, and includes a sizable semi-private balcony. The room we had was spacious, comfortable and clean as a whistle. One minor complaint: the shower head was about 8 inches lower than it should have been. It was at the height of my chin and I'm not tall. It was just too low. It's a shame since the tile in the shower seemed new and suggested it was recently redone, but not perfectly. Maybe the installer was vertically challenged (e.g. short). Our food servers, Kenzie and Stacey, and the boat guys, were absolutely delightful, and it's clear that management treats their employees well, but run a "tight ship" which ensures quality. They have pontoon boats that offer a tour of the nearby shoreline which was good, but it was the only activity we were able to take advantage of, due to the gray skies and cool weather (in the 60's and low 70's). On Thursday night, they have a barbeque on "the Island"in the middle of the lake, but it was done in the dining room instead, so we didn't even get to see the island, which was a huge disappointment. Unfortunately, we booked for three nights and had three days of gray skies, as to he remnants of the recent hurricane moved past, but we made the best of it and enjoyed our visit. Hopefully, if we visit again, we will have better luck with the weather. Most guests were repeat visitors, with the comments typically "We've been coming for 17 years," or 14 years, or something similar. As newcomers, we were welcomed, and I recommend the resort, but strongly recommend you stay a full week, and it's really more of a family resort than anything, so bring a good large family with you to have the best time.

We had a total of 45 family members staying here. The rooms are old, dirty, and poorly maintained. Some of the rooms had no hot water and the owner Lenny, said that he tries to regulate the hot water. The lock on the entry door to our room was broken and difficult to lock. Lenny checked it out and said you have play with it, and it isn't going to be like your lock at home, you have to play with it. If you rent the big house on the premise, it smelled and had cobwebs on the chandeliers and in the kitchen. Also, keep in mind that the owner lives on the top floor. Its very odd! The two bedrooms both had holes in the walls from the door knobs. The bathroom is tiny with a very old tub and sink. The next day we rented boats. Lenny and another worker set the boats up. I expressed I didn't know how to swim and needed life jackets. They got the life jackets, but once we were already out on the boats, we realized there were none on it. I called the owner Lenny and he wasn't apologetic and kept saying he couldn't believe they weren't on the boat. I checked again with him on the phone and there were none on it. He then brought us the life jackets on the lake. Other family members were on another boat that broke down on the water. Lenny came and made light of it, said he knew there was an issue with the boat, and told them to wait on the boat while he went to talk to a mechanic at dock. Again he never apologized or offered any compensation for their lost boat time. Upon returning my boat, he didn't apologize and then proceeded to tell us that we damaged the propellor on the engine. There was no way we did and and he was so nasty about it. My husband and I started arguing with him. Immediately he started saying I'm going to call the cops. I expressed how with any complaint we made, he made light of it, and never tried to rectify the situation. We got nowhere with him and decided to leave. Please read the other negative comments because they are true! He must be writing his own positive reviews!

In that time period, there have been many ebbs and flows to the quality of the experience. Right now appears to be a significant downturn. When the new ownership group took over a few years ago, we were hopeful. Rooms were refreshed a bit, new bedding and towels were purchased. Since then, it's been a steady but slow decline. We always stay in the same rooms, and the shower in room 29 has been leaking in the same spot for the past 3 years now. The deck to room 30 is rotting away and was absolutely filthy when we arrived. The sheets on two of the three beds in room 30 were stained. The entire building ran out of propane our first night there, so there was no gas for the stoves or any hot water our first day and a half. The grill on our deck was absolutely filthy and had old food lodged under the grill plates. The stove's burner was partially disassembled and had soot all over the place. These are oversights that never would have occurred when Eric was running the show. While all of these oversights throughout the property have happened, the costs has grown exorbitantly under the new ownership group. It's a terribly sad thing to see. The location is still fantastic, and the front-facing staff there are still wonderful, but it seems like the absent ownership is taking the profits from this property and putting them into their other properties in the Lake George property. We'll probably give The Juliana one more chance purely for nostalgia's sake, but if we don't see significant improvement next year, it will sadly be time to move on. There are far too many properties up and down the lake to accept what The Juliana is providing for the price point they are charging.

Service: One server for our party, she was nice but a little oddly for a server she didn't know what ginger ale was and wasn't sure if they had decaf. Our food came out with a pretty big gap between plates, I was finished with mine by the time another in our party got hers. I will say they were very gracious seeing as we were a half hour late. Food: Pretty underwhelming, you could get similar or better food at your local diner. Menu is somewhat limited as well especially for sides and drinks. I got the french toast, it wasn't very moist at all, uninteresting flavor, the strawberry garnish was dried up on the inside so must have been left out for a while, bacon was fine, maple syrup was good. I had a few bites of the omelette which was good and home fries which were on the dry side and without much flavor. Value: It wasn't too expensive thankfully despite being marketed as a 'fine dining experience' I'd say value was about even with the low quality food, french toast was $11. Overall definitely would not recommend, you could get better food at a diner or cafe.
