I had been craving a Burger and Flamme did Not disappoint!! I ordered the salmon burger and by his Grace! I got the last one before they ran out! I added caramelized onion, avocado & a hard fried egg! Got home, cut it into 4's and (after not eating all day) I wolfed it down so fast, that if it weren't for the flavors in my mouth... Our bartender/ waiter was very personable and recommended a few things off of the menu that we may like. The variety of burgers and options are impressive. There were many that sounded good and worth a try. I went with a medium rare Truffle Burger and my friend built his own burger, we ordered the parmesan truffle fries to share.The truffle burger did not disappoint! It was very juicy and flavorful, and the presentation was good as well. The fries were on point too, they were crispy and. coated in lots of parmesan and truffle stuff. And served in a cute little "fry basket". The place was nice and clean and the service was great. The location is great as well. My only suggestion would be to have more beer on tap. I saw two advertising flags near the intersection by Reis-Nichols Jeweler today and was shocked since I did not know they were relocating. Altg the temporary main sign said coming soon I decided to see what was going on with my favorite burger spot that I had just visited last month. After a soft opening, they are open for business today. I was even able to meet the owners, chat with the GM, bartenders and servers. There are several new features at this new location. 1. Lots of easily accessible parking. 2. Full service dining. You can opt to sit in the dining area, at the bar or on the patio. 3. Located in keystone it's close to the fashion mall, Ulta and kohl's. The minute you walk in it smells like wood fire! It's such a comforting smell. Once you walk in you let the hostess know how many are in your party and wait to be seated. The tables are all marked for social distancing. The food is made to order so when you get it's freshly out of the grill. The staff was super friendly and helpful when recommending certain dishes. The burgers are big but so delicious! I found this place on a whim looking for somewhere that I could bring the kids after my basketball game. If you have sensitive eyes, order to-go because the smokiness from the wood fire grill will hit you as soon as you walk in. Richard was the best server I have ever encountered! Seriously, he actually seemed like he cared and smiled the whole time. He also seemed like he didn't mind working to the point where he enjoyed it! He even said he loved working there. This is so rare. Sista Night #76 was dinner at Flameburger. The restaurant was a cool and comfy setting. The servers were so helpful- from explaining everything on the menu to us and answering all our questions to helping setup and take our Sista Night pic! My sister got the West burger and I got The Bbq burger with added avocado. The burgers were good and cooked as specified but they both seemed dry. I think they forgot the bbq sauce on mine. We ordered the truffle fries which were delicious and an Olio dip but ended using that for our burgers. Plus, we split a chocolate peanut butter shake which was ok but we really wanted the banana foster which they were out of. Just visit here for the first time and will absolutely be back! The gelato milkshakes are the BEST shakes I've had in Indy so far. The fried mozzarella is delicious- my fiancé and I are very particular about marinara sauce and we were both very impressed! He got the wagyu beef burger and i got the teriyaki chicken on a lettuce wrap with the truffle Parmesan fries and both dishes were AMAZING. Everything came out super quick (which we did not expect for a Saturday night) and the ingredients were noticeably fresh. A Fun Spot with Well-Construsted Burgers. Another destination during Indy Burger Week, Flamme Burger has long been touted as the Best Burger in town after Winning the Indy Burger Battle 2 years in a row. And with their new keystone location now closer to me, I just had to check it out. The first thing you notice as you walk into the door is the smell of smoke from the wood burning grill. It permeates the restaurant, giving the place an unique feel. However, the smoke along with problems with their AC at the time left the air thick and a bit uncomfortable the time I visited. Hopefully these 'New Location' problems have been resolved since I visited Flamme Burger shortly after the new location opening. Overall, the decore was pleasently casual, and the warm and attentive staff instantly made me feel welcomed. But now...on too the burgers! As part of the Burger Week, I ordered their infamous Flamme Burger on a pretzel bun. Though much smaller than I expected, I can easily see why they won the Indy Burger Battle 2 years in a row. With no better way to describe it, this Burger was perfectly constructed. Each layer could be tasted individually with every single bite, but at the same time all the layers collectively melded together to create a great experience. The quality of the burger pattie and bacon were top notch, bringing forth the true flavors beef and bacon. And the Wood Fire grill added that extra touch of smoke which further accentuated the burger. However, outside of the quality of ingredients and the added smoke, the Flamme Burger fell short of my expectations. It was By NO MEANS a bad burger, or even mediocre burger. But it was missing something.... Maybe the burger could have benefited from a bit of acid to cut through all the grease as the burger began to eat fairly heavy half way through. Additionally, though I ordered my burger medium, it came out closer to well done which is definitely a No No when it comes to burgers. Flamme Burger is a Strong 4 Stars, but lacks a little something. However, if you're wanting a real deal classic burger experience, there's no better place in Indy than Flamme Burger. read more

I decided to try this place after enjoying my burger at the Indy burger battle. It has an overwhelming aroma of bonfire when you walk in. We were seated right away and service was pretty good throughout the experience. I got the all american burger and my boyfriend got the west coast burger. My burger wasn't as good as I remember, it was a lot more greasy, but it still had a pretty good flavor. I do prefer my buns hold up to the burger and this one definitely did not. The bottom bun was soaked with grease and falling apart. We got the french fries which were amazing alone, seasoned and crisp, but paired well with their multiple dipping sauces. We got the flamme sauce, truffle aoili and chipotle barbecue. I liked and recommend the flamme sauce, it wasn't as spicy as the description, so I was pleasantly surprised. The truffle aoili was okay but kind of tasted like mushroom gravy. I was not a fan of the chipotle barbecue as it was very sweet and sugary. The alcohol specials were pretty good, but I did not partake to comment on the quality. I think this place has some unique burger options for the adventurous but has a solid plain cheeseburger as well. I'd walk but not run back. read more

We decided to sit at the bar and it was a good choice. I went with a bacon cheddar burger. Good size, great flavor! Always think the bun is a key ingredient on a burger and this one did not disappoint. Husband went with his usual, Sunny Side burger. Never understand the thought of an egg on a burger. He really enjoyed, said there was also bacon and hash browns, a nice change. His also had great flavor. Couldn't decide on regular fries or sweet potato fries so we went with both. Both were just ok. Came in to the Union Chapel Location and they had paper signs on their doors that said they weren't serving alcohol because they didn't have their liquor license.They said we had a 10 minute wait but would seat us anyway. They definitely under - promised & over - delivered. When we first came in we weren't used to the smoky atmosphere but it smelled so good we got used to it eventually. But then at the end I was looking forward to getting some fresh air. My partner and I ordered different chicken sandwiches: the California & Flamme. The burgers were cooked perfectly! They were juicy and extremely tasty. Beware of the Serrano peppers though. They are not for the faint of heart. It makes the Burger really spicy and it caught me off guard. I like spicy food, so it was a perfect amount of heat. If you don't like spicy food, don't order this burger. The fries were amazing as well. It is like a fast food restaurant, but they give you a number and bring your food to the table if you dine in. They were pretty busy so the service was a bit slow. Nonetheless, it was definitely worth the wait. They have patio seating and plenty of space inside for large groups. I am looking forward to trying more if their burgers in the near future. Tried this out for the first time tonight and there were some great aspects and also some not so great. Pros - unique take on burgers and sides - the Serrano queso on the bacon fries was really good! The fries were good and plenty of them! The burgers were a good size, I hate when they are too big and then adding a huge bun you can barely eat it. The flavor of the burger was really good too! Definitely left full! Cons - the burgers were almost undercooked. Don't get me wrong I like medium and at times even medium rare but towards the middle of my burger it literally was raw meat. There was so much sauce and cheese on it, it covered it up until I took some of the excess off and noticed the raw meat appearance - gotta watch that - I see a few others dealt with that in their experience too. I'm not much of a burger fan but my boyfriend was really adamant about trying Flamme Burger (especially since it's right below our apartment lol). I didn't expect the ordering process to be the way it was. As soon as you walk in you are greeted at a register with the menu above, like a fast food restaurant. In my opinion I felt like it rushed you to decide what you want, especially when there's a line of people. We did notice once we sat down to wait on our food, there was a bar! I thought was a great touch to the restaurant. It was a great mix of family friendly but socially mature at the same time. Our food only took about 15 minutes to arrive to the table, which I didn't think was that bad! I got an Avocado BLT Chicken Sandwich with regular fries & I must say that both were amazing!! I'm not sure if it was just the night that we went or what, but we are not scrambling to get back here anytime soon. We decided to try this place out because they were having a tap takeover night for one of my favorite breweries, Taxman! We walked in and there were plenty of open tables and we were seated right away. Now, I could not tell how many people were actually working as servers, but there was one guy running around trying to take care of everything, two people behind the bar helping the 3-5 patrons there, and several kitchen staff that would come and go. We were there for a couple of hours and it eventually was packed. First off our waiter was there right away and took our drink orders. Great! But then we did not see him or the drinks for at least 15 minutes. We finally got the drinks, and had to ask several times for water. About a half hour in we get our food orders taken. About 1.5 hours in we get part of our food. We each got burgers or sandwiches. I got the flamme burger which was nice and spicy. It would have been great to have a beer or even water to wash it down with but no one was coming to the table. I eventually just went up to the bar and placed our tables drink orders and asked for more water. The others in our party enjoyed their burgers or sandwiches. We had also ordered some appetizers and several orders of fries that never came out and we made our frazzled waiter aware a couple of times. He went back a couple of times, but those food items never came. Around the 2 hour mark we asked for our bills and then they brought out the missing food items! We declined them as we were leaving and had been there long enough. Our waiter did not initially want to take those items off the bill, eventually he did. He also could not split the bill between two couples and just told us to figure it out by circling the items that were ours. That was weird Meanwhile the Taxman rep who was there to promote their beer and do giveaways was busy giving them free labor. Tables were not getting cleaned when people were leaving and patrons would stand at the door to be seated for a little while and either complain or leave. So this generous soul from Taxman began busing and clearing tables because the people who worked there could not be bothered to do so. One of the worst dining experiences we have had in a while.
