Got a burger so charred it was crunchy to bite & pinche on the lettuce, tomato, etc. Husband got a truffle burger cooked to medium but was not impressed with the flavor, either. We shared the truffle fries that were ok though maybe the oil was too hot as they were near burned also. $8(!) milkshake he had was quite small, & not notable. Overpriced for the quality particularly with SO many options in Indy for hamburgers. Eh, it's a burger joint so not as focused on lack of atmosphere, *bad* muzak, or lackluster service. To me, Flamme Burger is the bar that all other burger joints in the Indy area should be measured against. It has three fundamental things going for it: 1) fresh meat prepared at the temperature you request, 2) good service, 3) and a delicious milkshake to wash that tasty, mouthwatering burger down with. This Flamme seems a little hidden, but it's worth finding! I stumbled across it while walking the dog. There is a dog friendly hotel across the street for pet travelers. Of course this patio at Flamme was dog friendly and they really lived up to that including a water bowl and a pup cup dessert for my dog. I asked the waitress her opinion on food and she recommended a me I'd been eyeing...the Flamme burger. I believe I saw this guy won best burger in Indy. It was a great burger! The beef was noticeably high quality and well cooked. The Flamme itself is pretty hot with jalapeños, but excellent if you're into a little heat. The menu had tons of other burger options plus chicken sandwiches, wings, etc. For beer they seemed to carry one local brewery. This was THE restaurant I would point people to when asked for recommendations on where to get a great burger and fries in Indy. This is THE place I could rely on to offer a great meal at a great price. They even used to offer a Kids Eat Free deal on Mondays! All that is gone. The last time I visited was on a Monday, and guess what? No more Kids Eat Free deals. Alright, fine. I get it -- in this economy, no one eats free, let alone kids. But what I didn't expect was to sit down, look at the menu, and see a $3 price discrepancy between the menu prices listed online versus what I was seeing on the paper menu in my hand. Flamme Burger obviously hasn't updated their online menu in several months, because every item on the paper menu in the restaurant was a few dollars more (and in the case of the burgers, at least $3 more). The sticker shock continued throughout the meal, because on our final bill, there was a "food and drink" fee added, which ... what? Yes, we're here at your restaurant for food and drink. Now we're being charged for visiting your establishment for food and drink on top of the food and drink we're paying for? Get out of here. Or more accurately, I'll get out of here. I don't mind paying a premium for premium food, but despite the higher prices, my burger was actually not as good as it used to be. I get the West Coast burger almost exclusively, and I've eaten it several times, and this time was just "meh" and not as juicy and flavorful as it used to be. Where is the West Coast burger that I used to love, Flamme Burger? Why hath thou forsaken me? I'm but a simple girl with simple needs: I crave an excellent burger at a fair price, and in both areas you have fallen short. What is going on here? It took me a long time before I finally decided on Bacon Cheddar burger. I will most likely try Wagyu burger next time. My burger was so juicy and the chipotle Mayo sauce was perfect for it. Smells great from the parking lot. Music's a bit loud considering the number of tables occupied. Had to raise our voices to have a conversation. Ordered iced tea and promptly sent it back, cloudy, with a stale taste. I do not understand why restaurants don't take care with their tea, even McAlisters. "Legendary" tea, known for their tea, has been lacking of late. But I digress... Food ordered and arrived quickly enough. I enjoyed the salmon blt and truffle parmesan fries with a side of housemade blue cheese dressing for dipping. My sister ordered the blue burger, which left her speechless as she devoured, uh enjoyed. My daughter ordered the cheeseburger, nothing fancy, but delish just the same. This review is for the Keystone location. Flamme Burger had a location in Whitestown that closed down a few years ago, we visited their frequently. This is now the second time we have visited Keystone. It was late on a Saturday, after 9pm, when we finished shopping nearby. Lights were on, a couple of gents were at the bar, so we walked in. The host greeted us right away, he was super friendly and he took us to a booth. There about 4-5 other tables with people at this time. Our server was Ethan - also super welcoming and friendly. I love it when people are happy to be there and want your business. Outstanding customer service! I ordered the West Coast burger with no bun, no red peppers, cooked medium with a side of hand cut fries. My daughter ordered a bacon cheddar burger with a gluten free bun and fresh cut fries. Holly wasn't hungry so she got a side of sweet potato fries. I also had a pint of Metazoa's Wicked Pawsome. They have a great selection of local beers on draft, an in bottles and cans. Food came out quick and was fresh and hot. The cooks nailed a medium cook on my burger and the avocado and mozzarella looked and tasted fresh. The meat was perfectly seasoned, as were my fries! I told myself to moderate on the fries, but they were hot, perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned! My daughter devoured her burger and said it was one of the best gluten-free buns ever. They nailed the food - 5/5! The beer was good, hazy IPA, but I struggle to drink beer anymore - nothing to do with Flamme Burger. The Queso Flamme Fries had a great topping-to-fry ratio, and the Wood-Fired Wings had the perfect crispiness even with the sauce. Now, you can't come here without getting a burger. While the BBQ Burger was our favorite overall, all of the burgers were made with fresh and flavorful ingredients and made perfectly as ordered. However, if you're not in the mood for a burger, then the Flamme Fried Chicken Sandwich is a MUST try! My friend had a get together here tonight with some of her friends and invited me to tag along. To start with this is a locally owned business so it's great to support them. Also all of their beef is never frozen. The staff was beyond friendly. They got us everything they needed with what I know was a smile under their mask. They were all decorated for Halloween as well. My favorite two apps were the pretzel bites and queso fries. The pretzels had an amazing garlic butter sauce on them that was to die for. I wish I had grabbed more! I also sampled the wings which were tasty. I originally was going to have to leave early and the waitress was nice enough to take my order before everyone else, and got my food out quickly. The bacon cheddar burger was amazing. It was super juicy so make sure to take caution so you don't spill any of that flavor! I had garlic aioli on it since I can't do spicy. I will definitely order this again. I also added a side of fries. My friends had the truffle fries which they let me try and those were even better! The homemade ranch dip was one of the best I've had too. Also their drinks are fairly priced. I had an angry orchard cider and it was only $5. I visited Flamme Burger for the first time yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. I love a good burger and my general rule of thumb would be to definitely order a burger when visiting a burger joint, but yesterday I was in the mood for something a little different and their menu described a very delicious-sounding Salmon BLT. I was excited to try it! Unfortunately, as soon as my order passed my lips, the waiter stated that he believed they were out of salmon, or at least they were yesterday. I have a sneaking suspicion that had I ordered anything other than a burger, they might have been out of it. So I resigned to ordering the Cheddar Bacon Burger. OMG....that first bite was so delicious and juicy! I am not even exaggerating. The juices dripped from my lips leaving me completely unable to look cute on my date. The bacon was crisp and the burger had been cooked perfectly to my requested temperature of medium well. The woodfired preparation left the patty perfectly charred, giving it another level of flavor. Salmon who?! I'm so happy I got the burger because now I will definitely be back! I'll also mention that the online menu stated that they offered half salads (of every variety), but the menu in the restaurant makes no mention of it. I ordered a half caesar (very yummy, btw) and was told that they usually only do half house salads, but they made an exception for me due to the salmon debacle. Sometimes you're just so exhausted from a three-day weekend of doing nothing that you just have to order out when you finally ease back into the work week. Anyone else?! It was 9pm and Flamme Burger was one of the few spots still open on a Tuesday night. Score! We placed a takeout order easily on their Yelp page and it was ready super quickly. We left only about five minutes later to pick it up. Their pick-up during COVID19 (and even while slowly opening - only went a few days ago) was super easy. The front wall of their restaurant is completely open out to their patio, so when you pick up food, you just go to the sign on the patio that says "wait here to be helped." Someone came right over to get my name and they had the food out within a few minutes. My favorite takeaways?! -It's locally-run. They only have two locations: Keystone and Whitestown. Heck yeah! -You can opt for a brioche, lettuce wrap, whole grain or gluten free bun. How awesome is that?! -Their fries are amazing and you can order a TON of different sauces on the side, such as garlic aioli, chipotle mayo, flamme sauce, 1000 island aioli, etc. They are soooooo good! My favorite is the garlic aioli. I personally ordered the traditional Indy burger on a lettuce bun and added avocado, and got the BLT salad for the next day's lunch because all of the reviews raved about it. The ranch is soooooo good and they even gave me an extra container of it, so I'm still using it and very happy about it. I ordered my burger medium well and it was a bit too cooked on the edges, but my husband ordered his medium and loved it, so I'm going to do that next time we come in. We used DoorDash tonight and decided to order from Flamme Burger. We ordered the pretzel bites, the wings, parmesan fries, a Flamme Burger and a build-your-own burger. The pretzel bites were yummy, with a little garlic flavor to them and paired nicely with a queso cheese dip (although it's not a reeaaalllll queso cheese dip if you're a true cheese dip fan!). We found the wings to be better looking than tasting--they were still good, just nothing special; Only offering 3 sauces for the wings should have been our clue to not order them. In fairness, we've already discovered our favorite wing spot so it's a pretty high bar that's been set. The fries were above average! Now, the burgers. I would say they were above average too. A little greasy but not to the point of being an issue. I did enjoy the pretzel bun for an additional $.50. Overall, we'd order the burgers again if we went to the restaurant in person.
