Love Flan Factory and hands down the best flan in Tampa!! I haven't tried anything besides the flan yet, but I've heard the Cuban sandwich and the empanadas are really good. Next time I go, I'll definitely try more items on the menu. My go-to favorites are Olga's Original, Salted Caramel, and Pistachio. Absolutely delicious every time!

Despite the name, they offer a variety of food. We stopped by for flan but they were so many other tempting options we had to rethink our dinner plans. We ended up ordering Cuban sandwiches, rice & beans, arroz frito (Cuban fried rice), deviled crab, and of course flan - original and guava. Everything was delicious- a bit pricey but I would definitely go back. Most people get take out but there is plenty of room if you want to dine in. They have dedicated but limited parking.

Tried this place on a tour of the city- it's cute and tidy, the flan was the most amazing flavors and I went back again just to get more. Both times I had no issues with lines or parking. The cashier was helpful and everyone was friendly on the team. The Cuban sandwich apparently is a world winning delight and it did not disappoint. Love this find and supporting a local business!

A taste of home! I was living in Austin TX for the last six years and this was exactly the taste that I missed. This protein bowl was a little of everything you want to have with Florida Latin culture. It reminds me of Miami and Cuban food and everything was seasoned to perfection. The Sangria was sweet and citrusy. My only complaint is I should have gotten an extra to take home because I live 20 miles away. Last time I came to this location inside of Armature, it was still Latin but it was called something different and the menu was different. This new-to-me joint is a thumbs up for me. I'd prefer this food which feels like home than most of the other places in this food hall.

I had been wanting to check out the Flan Factory for quite some time. I liked that they offered quick, friendly and fast counter service. The restaurant is clean, has a nice vibe and has a good amount of seating. Free parking across the street and in the parking lot. The Cuban was packed full of roasted pork, an easily shareable sandwich. So you have to give credit to them for giving you plenty of value for your money. I thought it was good, but nothing amazing, especially when you've had a Cuban from the Floridian. The side of beans and rice were also just fine, nothing amazing. We skipped the flan as we were full so I'll need to go back and check that out and try a few other items.

Haven't been here in forever and really looked forward to trying it again. Ordered a media noche sandwich to go. Unfortunately it wasn't that great. It easily fell apart and the bread was quite small. It wasn't as tasty as I remembered it. What a bummer.

First off...I can't believe I have never done a review of Flan Factory! I've have eaten her a ton of occasions. I will start by saying ...the flan is amazing. They have individual sizes in some unique flavors. If you want to bring something to a dinner party that will impress everyone...bring a FLAN! Flan Factory also offers great breakfast and lunch options. This morning we got breakfast. I had the Ybowl w chorizo. It was delicious. Perfect avocado, crispy home fries fries, eggs cooked perfectly and tasty gravy. Both my husband and our friend got the Classico Breakfast. They loved it. We got a Ybowl and Timba to go. I forgot to take pics of our food, but snapped a few of the takeout order. Their Cuban and Breakfast Cuban are also delicious. Since I have been coming here, they have added on the side room for seating. It's very cute w a variety of options. I typically sit outside, but I do think the interior is cute and great for chilling and chowing down. Lol.

Beef Empanada - they have onions and olives, large garlic presentation

Historically located, a place you know you will be treated to authentic Cuban ingredients and traditional menu items. The name grabs you if you're a flan enthusiast. Sandwiches were full of fresh chicken/steak, so large you could share one. The coquito flan was one of the best things I ate all month. The owner's mother was sweet and walked around to each table with warm conversations. Great breakfast menu to come back and enjoy next time.

Always a pleasure coming here for authentic coffee and lots of pastry and dessert choices. Their flan, of course, is so delicious with a variety of options to choose from. I'm happy their new spot is in armature works for easier parking and more spacious seating

I stumbled upon The Flan Factory in Tampa thanks to a random Reddit thread (bless the foodies of the internet), and let me just say, it delivered. I wanted to try a local spot that had some real buzz, and this place? Totally worth it. Believe the hype. Let's talk food, because wow. We ordered the Tampeno sandwich, and my tastebuds are still doing a happy dance. For $12 this cannot be beat . Think: slow-roasted Cuban pork, Genoa salami, Serrano ham, melted Swiss cheese, pickles, mayo, mustard; all pressed to perfection on Cuban bread. It's like a Cuban sandwich, but elevated. Honestly, one of the best (if not the best) Cuban-style sandwiches I've had. I split it with my boyfriend, though he may have caught me trying to steal an extra bite. I originally ordered the Island Boy shrimp sandwich, which wasn't quite what I expected, but the staff was super kind and accommodating. They removed it without hesitation. That level of service alone gets major points from me. For sides, we got the sweet potato fries (crispy, golden magic) and the cilantro slaw (refreshing with the perfect tang). We also started with the ham croquetas, which came out hot and melty, like little bites of savory heaven. Everything felt homemade and full of love. The vibe? Totally laid back. It's the kind of place where you could meet up with friends, kick back, and leave feeling like you just had a comforting meal. Now let's talk about the the flan. Do. Not. Leave. Without. Dessert. We tried the coquito flan and pistachio flan, and both were phenomenal, but the coquito flan? Chef's kiss. Creamy, smooth, and tasted like Puerto Rican tembleque and coquito had a delicious baby. It was nostalgic and decadent in the best way. If you're in Tampa and want a true local gem with heart, flavor, and killer sandwich. The Flan Factory should be at the top of your list.

Very good spot! Great food and great price. Got an empanada which was huge and the Cuban. Unfortunately we didn't try the flan :/ BUT good excuse to go back!

I love flan factory I'm almost sure I have reviews in other platforms but I must spill. Their flans are top tier. And their sandwiches are incredible. I are here when they opened and they have most definitely earned their spot in the Tampa dining scene. Go here if you want to impress visitors from out of town or your favorite person. My picky partner ate every bit of their steak sandwich on my recommendation and I always go for their salmon burger. It's a knock out. Their service is amazing as well. You always have a chance to run into the owner and say hello. Great spot must try.

I've only had Argentinian-style milanesa before, and I can easily say I liked the Teresita style better. The marinara sauce on the milanesa brings enough acidity to cut through the grease from the fried meat -- the meat is thin and crispy, but not at all dry. The fries and yellow rice make the meal an absolute steal based on the amount of food you get. My friend had the fried fish, which looked delicious -- excited to try it myself next time. Will definitely be back to try more items on the menu!

The rice was fantastic, perfectly cooked and seasoned -Salmon and fries: this was really good, flavorful and cooked great. The texture was perfect and the flavor was flawless! It was sweet but not too sweet. Great dessert! Definitely check your food before leaving though as they did forget part of the meal. Not a big deal as the guy up front was super apologetic and friendly. That dude was great! They need more just like him. Also, not the cleanest, floors needed swept and mopped. In the box (see photo), we bought two each of guava flip (kind of a folded tart or empanada), guava turnover, and guava flip with cream cheese. All of them are delicious! I like the flaky guava turnovers the most even though they didn't survive the transportation across the country in my backpack as well as some of the others. Even though slightly crumbly, still yummy! I also bought butter cookies, sold by the pound. Those are relatively ordinary; I'll skip those in the future. Next time, we are carrying Cuban sandwiches home! I really wish I carried them home. I was having Cuban sandwich withdrawal. This location is older but functional; there isn't seating. Their customers know what they want, and everything moves FAST. If it's your visit (like it was for us), I suggest looking at the menu online to know what to order. The service is friendly, even though I can tell he was a bit exasperated that I didn't just yell out my order and I asked questions. I honestly don't fault him. Busy places have their own pace, and the customers are the ones to keep up. That's perfectly ok.
