my beautiful wife and the photo wall of the owners memories
    Delaney A.

I'm kind of mad at myself that it took me this long to try Soul de Cuba because WOW!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the second you enter, it feels so homey and welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The owner came to greet us at our table and gave us the story of the restaurant and all the photos of his family on the wall who have been in Tampa for generations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was very inspiring and amazing to see the Afro-Caribbean part of Cuba being represented.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But beyond that, the food was amazing. We love to eat tapas style so we got lots of small dishes so we could try a bunch of items. We ordered the Crispy Pork Belly (10/10 out of this worlddddd!!!), the Moro Rice, the Mojo Green Beans, the Yuca con Mojo, and the Chicken Empanada. I also tried their Guanabana juice which took everything in me not to chugg. It was so yummy! The Crispy Pork Belly was exactly that. SO CRISPY but the sauce they put on top and the tostones that come with it made it just over the top incredible. The Moro Rice was my wife's favorite as she is a rice fanatic and it hit the spot! I was obsessed with the yuca! It was so different than how we normally see yuca and the flavor was so garlicy and delicious. We also really loved the empanada. It was well crafted and didn't have any unnecessary fillings. We have talked about coming back since that day. We haven't made it yet but we will 100% be back and ready to chow down!

The food is definitely authentic, and delicious might I add. The service was great. The prices for food and drinks were more than reasonable! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is quiet and welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The empanadas, yuca, and Cuban sandwich are all a must! Give them a try if you're ever on this side of town

Soul de Cuba Café brings together food, art, and culture in a cozy space filled with Cuban memorabilia, family photos, Afro-Cuban artwork, and a large photo mural. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The warm atmosphere, along with gentle salsa, jazz, and Yoruba music, creates an authentic dining experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was friendly and offered helpful menu suggestions for first-time guests. I started with warm Cuban bread and mojo wings, which were crispy, garlicky, citrusy, and truly delicious. I was pleased to discover that Soul de Cuba also sells their house-made mojos and salsas, so you can take the flavors home and try them in your own kitchen. For my main course, I chose the honey mojo salmon, simmered in a honey-citrus glaze, served with rice and black beans, and a medley of seasoned farm-fresh squash and zucchini. The salmon was tender and perfectly seasoned, bursting with freshness and Cuban love. My friend ordered the crab shalah, a unique dish where sweet crab meat is folded into a spicy red Cuban enchilada sauce and served over angel hair pasta--a flavorful twist that did not disappoint. Soul de Cuba offers more than a meal; it provides a cultural experience wrapped in comfort food with a soulful Cuban touch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're looking for bold flavors, rich traditions, and an atmosphere that tells a story, this place is definitely worth a visit.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]From the moment you walk in, the warm atmosphere and smell of slow-roasted pork let you know you're in for something special.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The beef empanada was a perfect startgolden, flaky, and packed with well-seasoned filling that tasted genuinely homemade. Then came the Cuban sandwich, pressed to crispy perfection with tender mojo pork, ham, Swiss, mustard, and pickles all in perfect balance. Friendly service and, generous portions. This place is a gem and I'll absolutely be back

The service has been amazing, [[HIGHLIGHT]]beautiful atmosphere. Nice decor, clean bathrooms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is a family owned and ran business. Our server name is Shauna you have to ask for. Both of our entrées were succulent and full of flavor.

While in Tampa I was able to go eat at Soul de Cuba Cafe. Honestly the food was amazing! Was able to try numerous plates and the appetizers, Chicken and Ham Croquetas as well as the Crab. They were flavorful and started the meal on a great note! I then ate the Lechón Asado as my main course and couldn't get enough of it . This place is a Tampa jewel and I would recommend that anyone who can support this business . Next time in Tampa I will definitely eat here again!

the food there is alr badly made and cold. nothing to do with cuban; im a cuban myself.. the beans are canned beans, specifically the brand Goya. meat is overly cooked, under seasoned. the food is closer to cajun but i'd be speaking bad on cajun food atp. Overly priced for its quality. Customer service is horrible. i walk in waiting to be seated for abt 20 minutes and even got the attention of one of the employees and nothing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Their hygiene also horrible and i don't like speaking of that topic but you shouldn't be working with customers, handing them their food, and have musty armpits all over them.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]only reason i give this location a two star is from its theme. It would give tourist in cuba vibe. great for pics; they do give you side eyes when you do tho..[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] would not recommend.

The service was amazing. Servers are actually Cuban and extremely friendly and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Wonderful service, extremely tasty food, and Cuban vibe atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is really a place you have to try.

About 4.5 stars. This is good food truck turn restaurant. It is great to see business grow in mature restaurants. Parking at the back is available for customers. The restaurant is close to the brewery, you may be able to get a beer there also. We got spicy pork belly. It comes with fried plantain. The pork belly was delicious. I like the unique flavor. We also got the mojo chicken wings. This is customer favorite dish. It is also good. Overall experience is good. They have patio allow dog.

Don't come to Tampa as oft n as onc but knew I wanted Cuban food that was delicious, friendly and worth the calories. From Empanadas to Tostones, the chef to ambiance was easy to find comfort and exception. Enjoy Spul de Cuba but don't forget to try the house-made bottled sauce:)

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cuba very well represented with classic Comfort Food and great atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We met the Owner Jesus who gave us the history behind this hidden gem . My husband had the Oxtail which was very flavorful and hit the spot. I had the Lechon with black rice and beans. So good Don't miss out on the huge Tostones with Pork Belly. Muchas Gracias y Dios los bendiga.

Found this Lil gem and I must say the food doesn't disappoint. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the moment we arrived their was a welcoming vibe and amazing aroma in the year.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Customer services was also above and beyond. I definitely be back

He made us feel like family right away, shared the history of the room we were in, and gave us great tips and things to do while traveling in the area. His food and drink recommendations were 10/10: Red Sangria & Salad: The sangria was delicious and the tableside salad was so unique and flavorful. Cuban Bread: Oh my gosh... warm, perfectly crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside with butter. Divine! Pollo Manchego: Huge portion for lunch! The citrusy sauce with the crispy chicken and yellow rice was so different from anything I've had and super delicious. Mahi Mahi with Blue Crab: My husband devoured this. El Combo de Cuba: My dad cleaned his plate trying all the Cuban flavors. We loved every second from start to finish. I can't say enough good things about Enarxis--he truly made our experience.
