This is the place to go for breakfast. All the locals are there. The pancakes are amazing. I think my husband loved the omelets. I got these cinnamon bun pancakes, twice (we went to 2 different Flapjacks in the area while there) one with buckwheat pancakes and the other with buttermilk. They were both delicious and tasted just like cinnamon buns. I liked the buttermilk better than the buckwheat. The buckwheat is just a bit too earthy for this flavor for pancakes. They do heat up the syrup before the pancakes arrive. That's nice, but I didn't need it for my flavor. One time I got a regular stack and the other a half stack with a side of bacon. I couldn't finish either of them. Most people hit a Waffle House when they go south, this is definitely a better breakfast than there. read more

It's mildly okay. I had the rocky top skillet. The potatoes and eggs were pretty good. The eggs were really small. The sausage was REALLY salty. The only way I could eat it was to combine it with the gravy, which is not that flavorful. The rolls were pretty good, but they did not look like the ones in the picture on the menu. I though I was getting two two sausage biscuits in sandwich form, which is what the picture and description says, but you get two sausage and two biscuits. The pancakes were pretty good and you get two of them with the skillet but for having a name like Flapjacks, I was disappointed the menu only had a small selection dedicated to pancakes. The actually skillet themselves felt really cheap. When it came out, it wasn't hot and was easily handled by me and the waitress. I'm not ever sure it was cast iron and it did nothing to keep the food warm. When I think if skillet meals, I think sizzling things like fajitas and hot plates you might get at a national chain restaurant. Great table service and food. Most of the breakfasts come with two pancakes, but you can upgrade those to one of the more fancy types for a fee. Peanut butter and banana for the pancake win! This place has a cozy log cabin feel for the country breakfast they serve. I'll start out with the server (Meghan) was outstanding! She waited on us promptly and brought out the coffee right away. The issue was our meal took 30mins to come out. Meghan stopped by to check on us and notified us of the shortage of cooks. It didn't make me less hungry, but help with my frustration. (Hence the 3 stars) The cinnamon roll pancakes are delicious. They are sweet and hardly need syrup. The grits were tasty and buttery. The eggs were done well. I ordered the Spanish skillet which came with pancakes as well. My husband ordered chicken and waffles. Both of our dishes were amazing! The radio was stuck on 2 channels at the same time. 70s and country. 2 songs playing over each other. Very irritating. I asked the server 3 times to check on it. She said it was satellite and there was nothing she could do. She didn't turn it off, change stations, or anything. Turning it off would have been better than listening to noise.
