We visited this location for the first time just a few minutes after they opened for the day which was a Saturday morning! We were seated immediately and our sweet waitress was quick to get our drink orders! Let me tell you everyone, this is hands down one of the best breakfasts I've ever had in Pigeon Forge! My fiancée had the steak and eggs with grits! He absolutely loved it and I tasted the grits! Some of the best I personally have ever had! I had the Forge breakfast (I think) it was 2 eggs cooked my way (over medium, perfectly cooked!) chose of meat I got bacon! Breakfast potatoes and a biscuit and gravy! I also added white toast with no butter for that delicious yolk!!! Everything was delicious! Our waitress was so attentive and friendly! The space is huge and very welcoming for a good home cooked breakfast at home feel! The place still smells like it's brand new!!! We're going to make this a tradition from now on!!! read more

My family and I will never cross the threshold of this establishment again simply because Sawyers rules are in fact NOT family friendly. I have an 18 month old son that fell asleep in the car ride on the way to Sawyer's. The rest of my family, 5 adults and 1 four year old went ahead inside. Our waitress informed us that sawyers has a "rule" that once we have ordered, my husband would not be able to even come to the table. Whatever I ordered for him would be packed in a to-go box but he couldn't eat it in the restaurant nor at the table. He'd have ti eat it outside. They were NOT busy. Maybe 10 families at best in the restaurant. I called my husband to tell him this ridiculous rule and he said no, I'll stay in the car and he won't eat breakfast and I insisted that wake our son up and he come inside. It wouldn't be fair to him. Meanwhile, the waitress asked her manager if they could make an exception but my husband was already walking in with my 18 month old. I told her if my son starts screaming because he's tired, not one employee by Sawyers better say anything about it. She said that wouldn't be a problem. I even told her that I know it's not her rule or her fault, but this is ridiculous for families to be subjected to this type of rule. The kids menu does not offer any type of waffle and my 4 year old had her heart set on a waffle. I told her they had m&m pancakes ($6.99) and she was sold on m&m's but not the pancakes. The waitress asked my daughter if she wanted a m&m waffle instead and she could get them to put the m&m's on top but they wouldn't be cooked inside the waffle. My 4 year old was so happy, she even gave the waitress a hug. Waitress was great. Fast forward to the bill, the waffle that the waitress offered my daughter... was $9.99+.99¢ for the m&m's. I didn't say a word about it, I was so aggravated at this point with Sawyer's, it wouldn't have done any good. And once again, the waitress is following the rules. Everyone at the table all said it was a mediocre breakfast at best and we all should have went to Mama's Farmhouse for breakfast instead. Sawyers, DO BETTER. You are an eating establishment in a family friendly tourist town. BE FAMILY FRIENDLY. The rule about not being able to allow my husband join us when my cranky baby is catching a quick nap? That's the dumbest thing I have ever heard and quite offensive considering we are paying customers regardless. Now, when people ask me where to go and where to avoid in Pigeon Forge, Sawyer's will be at the top of the list to avoid. read more

Had breakfast here on a Wednesday. It's a new building and is really nice. There was no wait at 9am. They don't have items marked GF on the menu except for pancakes. The server was very knowledgeable about celiac and allergies. I ordered the gluten free pancakes which are also vegan with strawberries and bananas. I asked how the home fries were prepared and she said they were not safe but offered me grits. I got them with cheese and they were really good. read more

Delicious breakfast! If you are looking for a delicious breakfast this is the place! I had the western omelet which also came with 3 pancakes. My wife had the Forge Breakfast which was a great assortment of eggs, home fries, biscuits and gravy. Everything was delicious and our server was excellent The only bad thing about this place is there is an issue with the roof and the wind made a very annoying high pitched whistle. read more

Service was decent, but the food was horrible!!! Ham and scrambled eggs.....EGGS WERE NOT DONE! Pancakes were dry, and the bisquests and sausage gravy.............they WAVED a piece of sausage over the top of the GRAVY? School paste tastes better! And this business was RECOMMENDED for their sausage gravy! We are local full time residents. We will not be bringing guests here nor will recommend it to anyone.
