Fries all the way around. They were well-cooked crinkle fries, and well seasoned too. I had the B.E.L.T. which was great. In fact, all of the food was ideal and fresh. Between the flawless, quick food, and cleanliness, and the service I am missing nothing. Kylie was super nice and always there when we needed her. Overall, this place is a winner. We arrived with a party of 13, which can be a challenge for any restaurant, but they handled our group wonderfully. Our food came out fresh, warm, and extremely tasty. Everything had that homemade, comfort-food quality you hope to find when visiting Tennessee. Our service was provided by Rob, who did a great job taking care of our large group and making sure everyone had what they needed. The decor is an experience all by itself. It's warm and welcoming, yet mesmerizing when you take in the size of the restaurant and all the incredible details throughout. It really adds to the whole Southern farmhouse experience. Plenty of places can make one great breakfast item. When you order a sampler this big, usually something gets left behind. Not here. Every part of it earned its spot in that skillet. The portions are huge, the food is excellent, and this is exactly what I picture when I think of a real Smoky Mountain breakfast: hearty, simple, and done right. I told him it was my birthday and that I had wanted coffee and cake. He took the bill and crumpled it in his hand. The portion of cake that he presented could have easily served three! I left the top frosting. The chocolate cake was moist and the frosting between the layers was German chocolate. Available seating offerings were a booth, table, or a table al fresco. It had the beer garden appeal. I opted to sit inside. The restaurant is also very family oriented (as are most things in Pigeon Forge). So I guess everybody has an off day. Unfortunately, this one felt like they were having an off week. I had the triple-decker sandwich and loaded potato soup combo. The sandwich was good, but it definitely needed more of the sweet onion sauce. There must have been a shortage of sweet onions because they were apparently rationing that stuff. The loaded potato soup had really good flavor, but it wasn't even close to being hot enough. It was more lukewarm potato soup than loaded potato soup. Apparently, the potatoes got more of a warm bath than a hot tub. We also ordered the loaded potato chips as an appetizer, and they were good, but there seemed to be about half the cheese on them that there normally is. I guess the cheese was also on a budget that day. My wife ordered the quesadilla -- well, technically it was a quesadilla wrap -- which consisted of a very small amount of chicken and approximately 16 pounds of cheese. At some point, it stopped being a chicken quesadilla and became an extremely cheesy wrap that happened to have met a chicken once. We also had a house salad, which was pretty underwhelming. Honestly, it was more of a side salad pretending to be a house salad. And considering the amount of cheese in my wife's quesadilla wrap, I thought maybe they could have spared a little of it for the salad to give it some flavor and excitement. Our waiter was friendly and did an OK job keeping up with the refills, so no complaints there. We were able to sit outside, and it was HOT that day. Thankfully, they had fans running, which made it pretty bearable. The atmosphere was nice, as it usually is. Unfortunately, when you put everything together, this visit just didn't live up to our previous experiences. We've been here several times, and this was easily the worst one. I'm going to classify this visit as "jumped the shark." Maybe we just caught them on a bad day, but based on this experience, I'd eat somewhere else next time.
