Flash was very fast in answering my inquiry, and then completely dropped the ball on the appointment. They were supposed to come from 1-2pm, and then called me at 12pm to see if they could come early. I said yes and took off work to wait for them since I needed them to come today. 12-1pm goes by and they didn't end up coming early like they said. I ask for an update and they say they'll be there soon. 1-2pm goes by and no update so I ask again since I've been waiting 2 hours now. They finally get back to me and said they had an emergency, but nobody let me know so I wouldn't be waiting around... so I waited for 2 hours and it turns out the technician wasn't even in my area at that time. I can't speak to the quality of their work, but this was a very poor experience that did not inspire confidence and showed me that they did not have respect for my time. read more

Daniel, from Flash Plumbing, was very responsive, even on a weekend. We had a galvanized water main leak. To trench and replace the main with copper was going to be very expensive. Daniel worked with us in pricing and was up front about what could be done (not repairing the galvanized and needing to replace with copper). Flash Plumbing was able to provide a written quote and schedule quickly. I asked about licenses and Daniel provided me with a contractor's license that wasn't expired and told us they worked under contractor's name that appeared on the license. We were able to have the trenching and copper main connected in the same day. Since the sprinkler lines are on a galvanized line, and we were not having those redone, Flash Plumbing added a T, upon my father's request, so we could see if someone would be able to reconnect the lines so the sprinklers could function. When the work was done, the dirt and areas with gravel were all filled back. That was very much appreciated. Almost all the debris/trash was cleaned up. Someone did leave a folding knife here, so if the plumber wants to claim it, we saved it for them. We really appreciate the work done. Old homes are always tough to work on, and many plumbers would prefer not to work on them or try to upsell you. Flash Plumbing did the work they were contracted for. I've use flash plumbing on two occasions. The first was to redo the piping under my house, which they did overnight very quickly and quietly. The second was to install a new water heater, which they did in the pouring rain. They are very quick to respond and very quick to fix the issues. The problem was because our sewer pipe was backed up. We decided to have Daniel and his team replace our sewer line system so that we wouldn't have to worry about the problem in future. We had a sewer line issue (backed up into the house)...came out on Saturday to diagnose, then showed up with the crew and parts on Monday morning. The job ended up a bit larger than expected as the system was originally (many years ago) installed incorrectly...but David took it all in stride (even though it was 3.5 hours more work than expected!). Did a great job on the repair (kept us updated as the work progressed) and cleaned up pretty much everything (including replacing the turf as good as I could imagine)! They did the job fairly quickly but everything surrounding the actual work wasn't great. They wouldn't tell me their rates when I first contacted but I went with them anyway on account of their positive reviews. I also wasn't told their rates when the plumbers first arrived (40 minutes after the window I was given). The job only took 20 minutes and we were charged $149 which is higher than other services I've worked with that came emergency fast (within 2 hours) after hours (9pm) for work that took longer. I was also told that if the quick fix didn't work (using a shop vac to remove a blockage) we'd need to replace multiple parts, and that doesn't make sense as an immediate next step as there are other ways to remove a blockage without replacing parts. The job was done quickly, the Daniel the admin was responsive, and the guys who arrived were pleasant. But I doubt I'll be calling on Flash again. read more

The below was e-mailed to Flash Plumbing on 06/18/2022. To whom it may concern: I recently had my bathroom drains inspected by Flash Plumbing on June 15, 2022. Two gentlemen presented themselves and proceeded to do their plumbing inspection. I explained that I had tried to "snake" the drain myself, but that I was unable to complete the process due to, what I thought, was a clogged bathtub drain. After the two men completed their inspection, it was explained to me that I had a collapsed bathtub drain line. It was also explained to me that I would need to have a re-pipe of my bathtub drain line. The men also explained the process (cut slab, remove bathtub, and trench, and complete a re-pipe of said bathtub drain. It was also explained that while they were doing the bathtub re-pipe, the toilet and bathroom sink could be repaired/re-piped as well (since the cement and dirt were already dug up in the same location). All of the above being said: As I am a senior citizen, my concern I to make sure that I am making the best decision for whatever repairs I need to have completed. On a whim, and to make sure that I was getting the best deal/price for the above work, I contacted another local plumber repairman. He came out to the house, I explained my situation ( I did not tell him that I had another plumber/repairman( Flash Plumbing) visit the prior day) and asked him to take a look. He proceeded to do the usual inspection, got on the roof, and "snaked" my tub drain via the roof vent pipe. When he completed his inspection and/or work, to my surprise, he told me that he got through the clogged line and was able to get all the way to the main drain line. I myself saw his snake line come through the 4-inch mainline "easy-out" on the side of my house. I now have a cleared bathtub drain line! The plumber and I tested the drain line with several instances of letting the water flow and drain into the bathtub. There is no clog and the bathtub/drain works just fine. The total cost of this visit: is $225.00. I know my house is 54 years old. I know that my plumbing, being cast iron, will need to be fixed, repaired, or upgraded (or not). I know that at some point, there will be repairs that are needed. Again, as a senior, my concern is that I contact a reputable repairman for whatever repair/improvement I need for my house. But when I am told or led to believe that I need a bathroom re-pipe at the cost of $7000, only to find out that another plumber is able to fix my problem, I get a bit nervous. I trusted Home Advisor when I did my plumbing inquiry. As I feel that I was misled, what I would like to have is a refund of the $350 that I spent with Flash Plumbing. I would like to be contacted by the owner of Flash Plumbing for an explanation and I will hold off with my review of Flash Plumbing via Facebook, Yelp, and Home Advisor after said contact.
