Placed an order to go, picked it up and got it home and the catfish and fries, were hard, chewy and dry, obviously had been cooked long before I ordered it, wasn't even edible. When I called to complain the 'Manager' on duty did not even know how to handle it, just apologizing and not offering any type of compensation. Used to be our favorite birthday place for a family of 5 and a frequent place we visited. Our last meal there for my bday my daughter's pork chops were still red inside. When we mentioned it to mgmt (when our meal was finished because waiter hadn't come back by) he told us many people like their pork rare. Well we don't. He offered to replace (again we were done with meal and take out wasn't an option because we weren't going home) but no other considerations for our meal. That was our last meal there. For being a new up and coming business in our area with rumors of the "best catfish" around. I was very unsatisfied with my all you can eat catfish basket -- we both ordered AYCE and when we got our first order, the fish was rubbery, we managed to make our way through it and got a refill to see if it was just a mistake however the second order was not better. My significant other placed his on my plate and ordered another to see if it was any better and by golly it never got better. We had some friends come into town and we took them there for dinner. We were so excited to try it. We sat on the patio so we could get in sooner. All four of our meals were cold when we got them. 3 of us were so hungry we didn't complain and ate some of it anyway, but our friend from out of town ordered something with gravy and it's hard to eat gravy cold so she sent it back. She told them just to stick it in the microwave so we could eat together, but instead they remade the meal and it took forever and we were all done eating. So BEFORE it even made it back out she told them to just keep it. As we were leaving the meal came out and you could tell the gravy was still cold and we told them we didn't want it. As it turned out they didn't bring our meals out because the runners didn't know where the went, I guess because we were on the patio? The food was not good... the catfish was so tough you couldn't eat it. The chicken I had was overcooked and tough. They charged extra for BBQ sauce! It was very expensive! It would cost a family of four $100 to eat there. $3 for drinks. It was very disappointing and we all just ate a little of the food because it was so underwhelming. The fish was really good. Tender, flakey, and a very nice corn meal coating. Fries were hot and fresh. The slaw was good. The hushpuppy was ok. She said her green beans were even better than the Church ladies do at our Fall Festival, which, I didn't know there were green beans that good. Our group has eaten at Flat Creek Grill in Webb City several times now. We've always sat in the bar area. Received excellent and responsive service. We went for a late lunch and had no wait. Waitress was quick and friendly. We shared the fish and chicken with fries and Cole slaw. The large chicken breast was warm and moist. However, that's where the good stopped. The fish was cold and tough. The fries, I'm not sure how long they had been under the lamp, but were tough cold. The Cole slaw had so much liquid in the bottom, it was soggy. With tax it was $24. 2 filets of catfish fish, one chicken wing and one breast. Basket had a lot of the cold tough fries and a tiny container of soggy Cole slaw. People have recommended that we wait until they had been open for a while and work all the kinks out. I'm not sure they can or will work these kinks out as cold food is never acceptable. They didn't seem to mind serving it to us. read more

They treat employees very poorly. They won't allow someone to know why they were terminated. Employees are only allowed a break if they work doubles or smoke. Even then you only get two five minute breaks. They won't accommodate for any kind of disability. They make employees park the farthest from the store after making them work til 1am. Food and service are always good when we go to Flat Creek in Republic Missouri. We are really pleased that ther is one in Webb City, which is not too far from where we live. Everything we have ordered there has been excellent, in particular, the fried chicken and catfish. Will definitely be going, more now that one is close to home. read more

We had been looking forward to trying the newly opened Webb City location for quite some time. This Sunday presented our opportunity. We were greeted in a friendly enough manner and was seated right away. When our waitress did arrive at our table for our drink order, it was extremely obvious that she did not want to be there as she tore the menu from my husband's hand. That still did not deter our happy and friendly demeanor. We were discussing the endless possibilities on the menu with future visits in mind. We decided to order the fried pickles as an appetizer. My husband ordered the catfish (since there is one on the sign) and I ordered the steak. We drank our Pepsis and enjoyed nice conversation as we waited and waited and waited. During this time we did receive our fried pickles from another server and I waited for a refill on my drink that cost $3. After an hour, our waitress came by and asked if we had received our food yet. We obviously hadn't and we looked at each other wondering why she would ask that. Finally an hour into our wait, she refilled my drink. I am a slow drinker too and it was all the way empty. We finally received our food and it was lukewarm. It had apparently sat in the window for a bit. The catfish barely had any fish within the breading. The steak was overdone. The okra was overdone and unedible. The onion rings tasted like Sonic's. I had to retrieve my own steak sauce from another table. She asked us how everything was and we did not answer only looking at one another. The smiles removed from our faces. My answer should have been disappointing. But, I did not want to cause a scene. We asked for a all box for our pickles, which were decent since served hot and left the customary tip, paid our bill and left. It is terrible that we are able to get better tasting food at a grocery store deli down the road. I wish I could have left a better review but considering the price and the fact my husband barely goes out to eat with me, I had to. I really hoped for a better experience.
