First time visiting the area and had no idea where we could feed our starving family after a ride on the Conway Railroad. After searching for nearby restaurants we all agreed that flatbread sounded good. Boy we were not disappointed! My husband and I shared a large pepperoni and mushroom which was AMAZING and the few pieces left over didn't make it back to the hotel. HAD to eat it in the car. My daughter had their heavenly version of a cheese flatbread with no red sauce which she reluctantly shared. It was SO good! And the cute young lady making the flatbreads thoroughly looked like she enjoyed what she was doing and it showed in the perfectly crafted flatbreads. And did I mention the fresh ingredients?? The crust was awesome. The sauce was too sugary for my father and I. The cheese was bland even though they said it had parmesan in it. The vegan pie's mushrooms were also bland and could have been soaked it something to help. Even the red pepper flakes weren't even that hot. They serve a solid pie there, but it could be better. The best part of my meal was the kombucha with tumuric and honestly even that was slightly over carbonated. Just ate at this restaurant for the first time and really liked the idea of free range meats, local produce, and the organic ingredients concept. The execution didn't provide the pay off we were expecting, however. Really nice server, and we liked the choice of beer and wine. I wish I could give them 6 stars!! Popped in for lunch on a whim & ended up going back the same day for dinner because we loved it that much!! The atmosphere is great, laid-back, comfortable - the space is huge but somehow feels cozy. They source their ingredients locally & use mostly organic ingredients & hormone & antibiotic-free chicken & meats. All of their beers are brewed in NH & I got to try something I'd never had before which was a treat - Moat Mountain. Our server was great - Noah - was chill & really nice & genuine. You can tell those servers who try to care about your meal & answer your questions but who probably turn their backs & roll their eyes & those who genuinely like chatting with customers, making recommendations, answering questions not just about the food but about the area in general, & are people who genuinely enjoy their job - Noah is the latter! We requested him later on for dinner too. I can not say enough good things about their pizza. I had the co-evolution without cheese (I don't eat dairy) & it was, without a doubt, the best pizza I've ever had in my life! No exaggeration. Not just the best "blonde" pizza or the best "dairy-free" pizza or the best flatbread pizza but the BEST PIZZA EVER... Silly little thing that made me smile - they give the kids blank pieces of paper & let the kid's make the covers to the menus. I love the way it's set up - having them mix the dough, cook it, & assemble the pizza basically in the restaurant is fun. We were there during "tourist" season & it was quiet for lunch but when we went back later for dinner we had a bit of a wait - totally worth it though, that's what happens when the food is THAT GOOD. read more

Everything here is organic and local which makes the place amazing. One of the seating areas is in the "kitchen". They make the pizzas in 2 big brick ovens and you can watch them make everything right from your table. It's very entertaining. The food tastes great and the service was just as good. read more

The wait was not worth it. The food is pretty fantastic although there's not a whole lot of selection if by chance someone in your party isnt a pizza fan. Service was slightly above mediocre and the pricing was about the same. The place was wall to wall tables full of people. I might try it again during the off season or order take out. Super yummy pizza. We got a fall special which tasted like Thanksgiving on a pizza. It was amazing. It was honestly just what we were looking for. We also enjoyed the organic salad as an appetizer and cider donuts for a sweet conclusion of our meal. The only reason why we didn't give it 5 stars is because the atmosphere was chaotic. Again, a family favorite, but this last time, a Sunday afternoon and not at all too crowded, was disappointing due to the lackadaisical service, seating, and place setting skills. We were given a 20 minute wait, which is fine, after the hostess was barely able to handle our cell phone number, (she actually took a few minutes just to do that!), for a text, even though I said we would be sitting right there next to her and she could just call our name. Then, a party came in 10 minutes after us, and THEY were asked if they wanted indoors our outdoors, and they were seated before us. Well, we would have loved outdoor seating because it was beautiful outside. Meanwhile, there really were plenty of tables available indoors. I asked hostess why the other party was seated ahead of us when they came in 10 minutes after us, and we were then asked if we wanted indoor or outdoor seating, and then we were seated outside. No utensils, even after food was served, and we had to wait and wait for salt, hot peppers, napkins, there were no refills given on drinks, etc. So, service was overall a real disappointment this visit. The chicken was wayyy too dry on the Carne (?) special pizza. Skip it. Yes, the place smells so wonderful and the food is usually great. Yes, we will return. read more

Pizza here is always delicious but I never seem to have luck with the service. Last night was no exception. My husband asked the bartender if by any chance they served stuffed olives to go with his drink. She said no. My husband explained that it's blue cheese in a green olive she said oh I'll bring it to you and you can stuff the olive yourself. She then added, have fun picking the pimentos out. She gave him a plate with a the ingredients and a toothpick. It was funny but a tad rude. The other bartender was not very nice. When he took my order he seemed like he could care less and was just grumpy. Sorry You had to explain the salad portion of the menu. Best pizza I've ever had in the USA! I have had pizza all over the world, this pizza is one of the best, better than pizza I had in Verona, Italy! I could sit and eat pizza here for days. The toppings are all from local producers. I had a sausage and pepperoni with marinara sauce. The meats are made from local meats and are made at flatbread. So amazingly delicious. They serve lots of local beers and sodas. Having the oven in the dinning area made for a wonderful cozy/comfortable atmosphere. If you have any room left after the pizza I suggest the gingerbread. Not a normal desert but it wasn't heavy and it matched perfectly with pumpkin ice cream. read more

Pizza used to be awesome here, but has fallen off recently and staff pretentiousness is now at an all time high. Alcohol policy is draconian, I witnessed a 40 year old with grade-schoolers not get served on account of an absent ID. The manager was sympathetic, but hinted the owners are not to be trifled with at length on that issue. Still a grand display of lack of judgement and micromanagement. The atmosphere there is really good and the waiters are all really friendly. I had half veggies and half homemade sausage pizza, both flavor are good but not really special. But the ingredients are really fresh specially for the veggies pizza. So I would go back again and try the other flavor for sure. read more

Coming from NYC you'd think I'm a pizza snob and I am but not in the way you think. By far my favorite pizza in the world comes from Flatbread Company. Their ingredients are fresh and fantastic. My favorite is the Mopsy's Kalua Pork Pie. The crust is good without being brittle or too doughy and the sweet & spicy taste of the ingredients blends well. My son loves Jay's Heart. We come here often with a large group or just 2-3 of us. My 87 year-old Dad loves to come and watch them make the pizza right in front of us. No hiding in the kitchen here! Salads are good and big enough to share. They make a margarita that's to die for with a nice kick. Dessert is also well worth saving room for. Tend to get crowded during the busy times of year, and watch out for their Tuesday night fundraisers - quite often it's crowded then too. Service is great and very friendly. read more

After making several visits to the Maui (Pai'a) Flatbread Company, everyone in my family was excited to try the North Conway location. It did not disappoint! Crowded (as expected), and always worth the wait. The staff was super-friendly and accommodating presenting several options for seating our large party 12. My wife and I were very satisfied with our pizza. The place was a little hard to find, but once we got there it was pretty neat with natural local sourced food and big wood fired ovens in the restaurant. An outstanding experience! My wife and I went there yesterday for lunch with our two kids (4 and 2). Everything was awesome. The restaurant itself was visually interesting, the two ovens were warm and smelled great. Our server (Liza) was friendly, helped us figure out what to order, and was super nice to our children. The local beer was pretty good, and the pizza (which we had never tried before) was some of the best we had ever eaten. We were only in North Conway for a weekend getaway, but when we return, this restaurant is going to be a mandatory stop on the trip! read more
