Everything was great! Great food great service and great music! I have to say it is on the pricy side, but everything tasted great! Do try the grilled Caesar salad. It's the specialty here. Grilled romaine and Caesar dressing just went so well together. No need for bacon to enhance the flavor. We had jumbo shrimp grilled and chilled as appetizer. There were 10 shrimps! This one is worth the price. I personally prefer them grilled. The seasoning was perfect. Lamb chop was juicy. Tilapia was cooked just right. They ran out of apple crisp which was disappointing but the black tie chocolate cake was rich and comforting. What a great way to end a meal. Stopped on the way through town for lunch. Lighting was oddly dark for lunch and service slow considering the amount of empty tables. We all had burgers and they were pretty good considering the 20 minutes it took for them to come out. Perhaps 21 minutes in the future if they would season the patty. No salt and pepper on any table which is fine as long as your confident and skilled enough to deliverer. This the request for salt and pepper. This is an excellent place for dinner. The service was great and the food exceptional. I am giving Flatiron four stars because it is so dark. The atmosphere is nice and I understand where they are going with the ambient light but it was extremely dark. It was definitely worth the visit and would like to make my way through the menu but don't know when I will be returning to Jackson. You can get half orders of some of the appetizers and light portions on a few of the entrees. If you are a light eater it is the perfect way to have both an appetizer and entree without being overly stuffed or wasteful. I had half an Eggplant Rosa and a light portion of the Atlantic Salmon. The eggplant was perfect and even a half an order would have been enough to share. The salmon was very tasty. I will say that the "glaze" was applied more like a sauce and was a little too thick for what I consider a glaze. It is worth a visit! read more

Came here on Saturday for 2:00 lunch. Seated right away but no wait service for 15 minutes and the place was almost empty. The lunch menu prices are $2-3 higher than shown on the menu through Yelp. Would not give this place a second chance. read more

The food and service were both amazing! We had dinner there and the onion rings were an excellent appetizer to kick off the meal. We had the sea bass, Santos chicken, black & blue salad and the fried fish sandwich and they were all great! The sea bass and risotto was as good as anywhere! Spending some time in Jackson one evening I found this place on Yelp. I have to say it was excellent. I usually always order the lamb,,so I ordered the grilled lamb chops with Memphis dry rub. I was looking for a patio and a dinner that was nicer than a chain. What a win! The patio is gorgeous and full of plants and vines so you feel like you're in Italy! The sea bass was phenomenal and our server Jose was fantastic. All of the entrees come with a and sides. My husband and friend got the fried shrimp appetizer and said it was very good. My husband and I went for my 30th birthday. We tried to order drinks and I was denied service and told that my ID was not real. Management and staff are not informed about recent TN ID changes under the Real ID Act. As an establishment that serves alcohol, management especially should be up to date. The front of house manager was rude and dismissive and refused to let me show her proof that my ID was in fact legitimate. Apparently the watermarks on it were not enough for her. We left and had no problems ordering drinks at the next place we chose. The only fine dining in Jackson, and this is how we are treated. We will not be back. read more

When we entered I thought that it was a little dark - but the feel is actually incredible. While it might be a little pricey in my opinion it is worth it. The service was incredible and was not afraid to answer questions I had honestly. I had the house salad with ranch dressing and it was incredible. I also had the Filet Mignon which was beyond exceptional. It was juicy and tender enough that I could almost cut it with a butter knife. It had a crispy Smokey exterior and a warm soft interior. Although it is expensive at $57 it is one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. The side of Mac and cheese was creamy stringy employing a type of pasta that is not commonly seen in Mac and cheese but it pulls it off beautifully. It is garnished with chives and pieces of bacon crafting it into a heavenly Mac and Cheese. I highly recommend this place for any steak enthusiast!!!!! read more

This is such an adorable, upscale restaurant tucked away in the columns right off the interstate in jackson. We took my dad here for Father's Day awhile ago but came back for a light, late lunch. They have a great selection and cozy yet trendy atmosphere- a really great little restaurant tucked away and a great alternative when mostly fast food is around. Stopped by with a colleague during a local business trip to have a nice quiet dinner. Found it to be great choice with friendly attentive service (Kimberly was great!) and very good food. The steaks sounded great, but I went for the chicken Santos which as outstanding (creamy chicken breast on a a bed of orzo with chopped tomato and a vegetable side. We also had the onion rings for appetizer and the wedge salad- both were great, but probably way too much food all together. I plan to come back when I'm back in town. read more

Maybe it's because I'm a northerner, but I didn't find anything impressive about this place. I was here to have dinner for a corporate event and we had a choice of either Pork Chop or Blackened chicken with Alfredo. I had the Pork Chop and while it was okay, it was not anything to write home about. If everything else would have gone smooth, I would have given a 3 star, but the "private" service was atrocious. We had to continuously ask for more drinks and remind the servers 15 minutes later when we still haven't received our drinks. The service was in general, very disorganized. Beautiful place! Great atmosphere & design. Too bad the the interior designers weren't running the restaurant . Service was mediocre - had to ask for everything, including a napkin. Server committed ultimate sin: serve the entrée when I'm half done with salad (which was served lukewarm). A hunk of bread from local grocery store is served in a paper bag - I guess that makes it fancy. Entrée was pretty good. The vegetable side was an afterthought that they started cooking last Tuesday. read more

My wife and I happened upon this restaurant this past weekend and were pleasantly surprised. We had a very enjoyable meal that was a departure from the usual chain restaurants that seem to be the rule in Jackson. I thought the wine prices per bottle were very reasonable. I had a great lamb chop dinner and my wife had their portabello sandwich. We started with the eggplant appetizer which was huge and a meal in its own right. Very tasty. The ceasar salad comes either chilled or grilled. We would recommend this as one of the best in Jackson. read more

We came out on vacation and I was super excited to eat here again. I order the lamb (half order) and was so very disappointed. For $24 it was a very tiny itty bitty little piece of meat. It was hardly flavored. The side item I chose was Mac and cheese, that was ok. Ceasar grill salad was pretty amazing. The bread this time was hard and dry. The restaurant was pretty slow. I can't believe that this restaurant has been open for a year and a half and I had not tried it yet. Jackson tends to be nothing more than a rest stop between Memphis and Nashville and so we don't seem to get many original places to eat and have to make do with all the standard fair that you can find in every other city in America. And out of the blue comes the Flatiron Grille. My mother was visiting from Florida and it happened to be Mother's Day so I figured that I would take her here as everything else was, well to be honest, everything else was boring. We were in for quite a treat. Not only was the food incredible, but on a day notorious for restaurants being busy and no one getting very good service, this place delivered. Our server was wonderful and treated us like we were the only table he had. Now this place is a little on the pricey side but it makes a great location to celebrate special occasions. And it is definitely worth the price. I have pretty much given up on ordering steak when I go out to eat as it never tends to be as good as I can make it at home and I have to say that I was impressed by their steaks. I also got to try the rack of lamb which was quite exquisite. One of the other complaints I have about many restaurants is that while the entrees may be okay, the sides items are just on the spoiled side of mediocre. The baked potato was fresh, hot, deliciously seasoned and loaded perfectly and the asparagus was... for lack of a better word, faultless. And I also have to make mention of the salad which was a wonderful mix of romaine and assorted vegetables with an splendid tomato-basil vinaigrette . Since we were there on Mother's Day, they provided my mother with a free desert. The "lemon bar" was wonderfully tart and refreshing after a heavy meal. All in all, I was impressed with the Flatiron Grille. This definitely is not a place I would go on a regular basis, but makes for a great place to go for a special occasion. The only problem I can see with this restaurant is that it is the only one and that I am moving soon and will not be able to take advantage of celebrating here for very much longer. read more

The service was great. The grilled Caesar Salad was great. The beer was too warm for my taste, and the New York Strip was a little overcooked. My biggest problem was the steak. At $37, I expect a Steak to floor me. This steak didn't. It was good, but not excellent. The steak I had at Longhorn the night before had better flavor than this one did. It took another 15 minutes to get a food order The hostess continued to seat parties in our waiters section and it was obvious he was not happy about it. I liked the theme and the decor, the service was pleasing and the concept is cool. The food however was suffering a major identity crisis. Parsley sprinkled all over the plate is a huge turn off. I had to send the tournados back for being overcooked but at least I can understand that. It is an easy cut of meat to overcook.
