We're from out of state attending a conference and decided to stop by after seeing shrimp and grits on the menu, and I'm so glad we did. The food absolutely did not disappoint. The restaurant has a huge bar right in the center with an impressive selection for anyone who enjoys a good drink. It creates a great atmosphere without feeling overwhelming. I ordered the wings with sweet potato fries, and let me tell you, those sweet potato fries were hands down the best I've ever had! They were waffle‑cut, perfectly deep‑fried for a crispy crunch in every bite, coated with cinnamon, and paired with a sweet butter that took them over the top. They were so good I devoured them and forgot to take a picture until my plate was almost empty. My coworkers ordered the shrimp po' boy which they said could easily go toe‑to‑toe with Louisiana's classic po' boys and the Alfredo pasta, and both were a hit. The service was just as impressive as the food. From the moment we walked in, multiple staff members checked on us to make sure we were taken care of. Refills were prompt, and they even brought the drink menu up close so we could easily read the selections. These small details made a big difference. Great food, attentive service, and an awesome vibe. Highly recommend this place and would absolutely come back next time we're in town.

What a nice local place for food and drink and socializing! Lively atmosphere and good comfort food; sizzling hot french fries and a veggie burger for those like me who don't eat meat and seafood. My husband ordered a seafood platter and couldn't have been happier! Service was great and friendly. We didn't see a cocktail list but saw several people with interesting looking drinks.

It's located on top of The Alida hotel (also one of my fave boutique hotels) in the historic River Street district. I've had the chance to visit The Lost Square both during the winter and this past week during the summer. They have a great view of the river and cozy lounge seating, as well as a full bar. The first time I visited was near Christmas and it was freezing outside, but they had a burning fireplace and the cutest little enclosed glass houses you could sit in to enjoy your drinks. During my recent visit, we had our 1 yr old son with us and decided to have dinner there and enjoy the weather. I had the Valencian Spritz (reposado, orange aperitif wine, fresh orange, white pepper, and cava) which was the perfect summer drink. My husband had the Soft Light mocktail (zero proof gin, papaya, kefir, and saline). For food, we started with the Labneh dip topped with olive oil, za'atar, and honey with fresh pitas on the side. Wow, this has got to be the best pita I've ever had. They were so fluffy, warm, and well seasoned. We even got a second order. The labneh dip was phenomenal -- highly recommend for an appetizer or just a snack. We also shared to the falafel bites and the Alida Burger which was very tasty! We'll definitely be back for another visit the next time we're in Savannah!

There are several drink options with your choice of spirit. The mixologist was lovely! She was super attentive and patient (i knew what I wanted, but was indecisive with all the choices). The brunch menu is fairly…read moreextensive, so we had some difficulty choosing what to order....but definitely come hungry because the portions are large and the food is pretty rich. To share amongst the table, we ordered the cinnamon toast banane and crispy gouda grit croquettes. Thumbs up on both, particularly the croquettes which were the right balance of gooey and structured enough to eat with the delicious sauce on the side. The cinnamon toast banane was not so much toast as cinnamon rolls with bananas foster; the cinnamon rolls were really tasty and the bananas foster was good, though the bourbon flavor was strong. For my entree, I ordered one of the lighter vegetarian dishes - the mushroom tartine with tomato soup. I think it is one of the lighter dishes - certainly lighter than what my dining companions ordered - but it was still quite rich with a fair amount of gouda fondue in the tomato bisque soup. The mushroom tartine/sandwich was really flavorful with the pesto, cheese and tons of mushrooms. The restaurant is quite large with an upstairs seating area.

However, the lady at the front was not welcoming to us with our children. She said upfront that there are no kid menus, high chairs and strollers had to be placed elsewhere. I would understand if this was a fine dining upscale restaurant that was quiet but the ambiance was very ordinary. There was regular restaurant noise and people dressed casually. Talk about a frustrating restaurant to find!…read more We were walking along the boardwalk, and I was in the mood for sushi. Naturally, I pulled up Yelp and found this place, which had great reviews. We decided to venture away from the area we had been exploring and walked across the street, only to find ourselves staring at a Chinese restaurant with absolutely no indication of where the sushi restaurant was located. We walked all the way to the right thinking we must have missed it, but still nothing. Then, almost by accident, we looked down an alleyway and there it was--hidden in plain sight. By this point, I was extremely hungry and definitely not in the mood for a game of hide-and-seek. After climbing a flight of stairs, we entered a very dark and intimate space with a small bar area. We usually prefer sitting at the bar, but there weren't any available seats, so the hostess seated us at a tiny round table that felt more like something you'd find in a café. The atmosphere was definitely giving romantic date-night vibes. We ordered two specialty sushi rolls. One was a mango roll, and the other had me sold the moment I saw the word truffle as a special. The truffle roll was easily my favorite, although both were delicious. I also ordered a passion fruit cocktail, which I'd rate a solid 9 out of 10. I don't normally go for sweet drinks, but when on Rome, why not? This was not overly sweet but still one and done for me. Since we were only in town for one night and wanted to experience as many places as possible, we stuck with the two rolls and drinks before heading back out to continue exploring. Overall, this place is incredibly cute, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was perfect for a date night. My only complaint is how difficult it was to find. If you're starving like I was, wandering around searching for the entrance might test your patience. Once you finally find it, though, it's worth the effort.
