My friend saw this place on Good Day Sacramento. So we decided to check it out. It was a little smaller than I expected. The service was great and the food was delicious! Especially for bowling a bowling alley. I don't think this is your traditional bowling alley though. The cost is $40 for 1 hour of bowling plus $5 for shoes. ( That's the only reason it got four stars. ) Everything else was five star worthy. They have a great atmosphere, and a clean facility. As I stated this is a smaller bowling alley but extremely family friendly. If you're ever looking for something fun to do I would definitely give them a try. read more

Unless you like grunge music playing extremely loud, find another bowling alley. They don't allow you to play other music on their touch tunes juke box and if you do get a chance, they turn the volume down. The bowling area is very small and can barely seat 4 people per lane. The biggest disappointment is the blaring music that everyone is not a fan of except the workers controlling the juke box. read more

We recently held a birthday party for our kids at Folsom Lake Bowl, and it was amazing! Scheduling was an easy process, and we only had to show up the day of, everything was taken care of. The party went really well, everyone who worked there was helpful, and my kids and their friends had a great time. They are already asking to have a bowling party again next year! Our first time here a few weeks ago when my sister and her family were all visiting from Ohio for the week. We reserved 2 lanes side by side and had the best of times bowling and enojoying the clean and friendly environment at FLB. The bowling place overall is well kept and in a very organized manner. The staff very friendly and welcoming and the entire experience was truly never ending fun filled with smiles galore and laughter with cheers as we bowled and had fun with the music as well. Love that the music wasn't too loud. Some places the music is so loud you need to yell in order to hear one another however FLB had the music just loud enough to enjoy and still be able to talk to one another and hear one another. Plenty of parking as well which is a nice plus. The only draw back to this bowling place is as soon as the hour or 2 hour time frame in our case is up the score board ends as well. We were not able to finish our last turn for 2 of us to get our final scores. Just about 2 to 3 minutes or so and we would have been able to finish the game. Would prefer if we could pay by how many rounds we could play instead of per hour so that we could complete each round. We were laughing and trying our fastest to finish up before the clock reached the final second hour however just missed it by a few minutes! Still was a funtastic overall experience and we are surely going to be return bowlers! read more

Made reservation to bowl with friends. Costs more to make reservation as opposed to being a walk in. Was told to arrive 15 minutes early which we did. Was told we wouldn't get a lane until 5-10 minutes after our scheduled time. Was assigned a lane and as we got our balls and got set up, we're told we had to go to a different lane and other bowlers came to our original lane. Finally got to new lane, had them wipe down area and were able to bowl. Try not to complain but the women's bathroom did not have ANY hand soap in both dispensers. Big pet peeve to not be able to wash hands. Told them up front but after an hour they still were not replenished with soap. Had a reservation for dinner after which is why we reserved a lane to begin with. read more

I like bowling at FLB a lot, but lately they've been having major issues with their pin setters and asking them to do anything about it has been a frustrating experience. About every other frame there's a pin missing or several knocked over already, and resetting takes anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute each time, which just feels bad when you're paying by the hour. When asking for some extra time to make up for this, they look at you like you're crazy and say things like "well it's happening everywhere." In other words, they're aware of it, it's not isolated to a single bad lane, and they seem to think that's acceptable. read more

We were in town for a basketball tournament, and Brian and the rest of the staff were more than accommodating and patient with our large group (of mostly loud teenage boys). We come here at least once a week and we love it!! I took my daughter for the first time a few weeks ago and she has such a blast doing cosmic bowling. The lanes are great, the shoes are comfortable, there are plenty of balls of all sizes available for everyone from 6-15lbs. The bumpers are automatic, which is super cool! There is an attached pro shop, bar, and interestingly, a barber shop. The food is delicious. I highly recommend the Caesar wrap and the bacon cheese fries. And the onion rings. Also the pizza. :) Lisa is super helpful and friendly, as is everyone else that works there! I absolutely LOVE the pro shop. Getting a hand drilled ball that is perfect for you is so unique nowadays and the skill level of Mark is fantastic. I wish they had a league because it's closer than Apex, but I love coming here to practice. Couldn't be happier with our experience there! read more
