Affordable drinks; good dance floor and friendly people all around. Located in the heart of Hillcrest with near by clubs, bars, restaurants and lounges. Friendly staff and good music.

It's been so long since I was last in San Diego and can't remember if this place has been here for a while. Also a bit different during the day versus evening... lol... Impromptu visit with some friends that have moved into the neighborhood. This would be their new local spot in the area so of course had to check it out with them. It was still kind of early in the day before the evening rush. Still a good amount of people which was nice. Along the main strip of hillcrest and along the other bars. Day time crowd was quite nice. A mixed group of people and looked like a couple of birthday and bachelorette groups happening. Patio area was quite lively while inside there was a dj on deck spinning some fun tunes. Drinks were nice and the service was great. Both the bartenders inside as well as cocktail boys working the crowds with shots. When we arrived it didn't seemed like there was a security guard yet but one did show when we left. Crowd outside on the patio was pretty lively. This place is pretty much fun mellow crowd when we arrived. Nice afternoon having a cocktails and enjoying the music. Evening seemed to be a hot spot. Two bars on opposite ends, nice patio. Fun spot in San Diego.

Vodka cran and white claw was 15$, no entry fee. This was on welfare Wednesday, SUPER packed but good music and dancers. I wish they regulated how many people they let in more since it was impossible to move around and everyone spilling drinks everywhere. Overall would possibly go back again. 4/5

Playing the straightest, outdated music on pride weekend should be illegal. Felt like I was in downtown San Diego in 2009.

Can i take a 20yr old in with me?

Someone has to be 21 above to enter.

What does the price of the drag brunch ticket include? Where is the menu for drag brunch?

Entry and a seat. There is not much brunching going on, I saw a few people order the food items that are on the regular menu (ie adult lunchables), but most people were just drinking. I don't think there is any brunch food.

Do they have an 18+ night?

    nope

What is the age limit? My friends and I are 19+ and want to experience this for a friend's birthday.

You might be able to get in during the day when there is no bouncer checking IDs but to order an adult beverage, it’s 21 years and up. Better off going to Urban Mo’s or Baja Betty’s as they are restaurants and bars and you can be served food and be…

It was not busy. I will say all the patrons were white. We didn't think anything of it at the time, but another WHITE group came in and they let them sing; and right after, the Dj sang himself!! If patrons want to sing at an event you're a WORKER for, they should take president. I will NEVER come to this RACIST BAR AGAIN!

It's one of the few lesbian bars left in the US, so that alone makes it a must-visit, but the experience keeps us coming back. The vibe is always energetic, and the staff genuinely make it special, their personalities suit the place perfectly. Even though we're just visiting, they make you feel like a local who's been coming in forever. It has that neighborhood bar feel every single time. Food-wise, this last visit we had the steak sandwich and it was delicious. Their chicken fingers and fries are also excellent and as a self-proclaimed chicken finger connoisseur, that's saying something. Also a great spot if you're nursing a rough "morning" (or afternoon depending on when you roll out of the house) after. Gossip Grill is a staple every time we're in town, and Hillcrest in general just has such a great energy. Highly recommend.

All the staff was super duper friendly and they were playing my jams the whole time. We were a group of 3 adults and 1 medically fragile pup in stroller. I ordered Avocado Toast with chili oil on the side with a side of fruit, So . . . About last night subbed eggs over easy, Shrimp and Grits and soft scrambled eggs for our pup. My friend ordered some green drink too. Avocado Toast was delish, the bread was killer and avocado to veggie ratio was on point. So . . . About last night was a very generous portion and definitely on the heavier side but very yummy. Shrimp and Grits was full of flavor and cheesy grits were so velvety smooth. Stitch gobbled up his eggs and my friend thoroughly enjoyed her drink too. Definitely coming back for music and trying their regular menu items.

Double Bars. Plenty of room. Great happy hour. Cool events including cigar socials, 90s music nights, themed nights, a pool table, good seating and great service. The happy hour beer special was stellar. $10 for a pitcher of Bud Light I shared with guy. Plus 90s Night with nostalgic classics for this made in the 80s baby, was 10 kinds of perfect. It's so easy going and chill here, but also very social and friendly at the same time. It reminds me a little of my home bar in North Hollywood, Los Angeles (The Bullet Bar). Bartenders are amazing (including Dutch who I remember from his days at Redwing) and I even got to reconnect with some of my SD friends I haven't seen in 7 years. Nor been into Pecs since 2018. I've been here during San Diego Pride in summer (July), causal hangs in the winter (like now) and a variety of fun things. We've been in a bit this weekend. Including on our way to tthe "Bad Bunny Bowl"! But also Go Seahawks! Nice bar eats when available. Veggie friendly. Website could use a little modernized tlc, but their IG and FB stay updated. Parking isn't your bestie, boyfriend, sir, or someone you know well lol, but the true locals recommend a ride share, early times and carpooling. We drove around on a Saturday night for quite a while and lucked into a sort of parking spot without restrictions. Restrooms are solid. Seating around the bar area and on the outskirts including a long beach or two fills up, but if you're patient something will open up. They typically card everyone at the door so please bring your non expired ID since no matter your age it's prohibited to serve adult beverages to anyone. Pecs does it's best to be a great bar so let's do our best to keep it that way. Open 12PM til Midnight daily, and until 2AM on Friday/Saturday.
