Went for Tuesday spaghetti night, as it was recommended to me by other people. I could eat spaghetti was eight dollars, the add-on chicken was I believe another 3 to 6 dollars. I ordered a Well margarita and well shot. Somehow the bill came out to $46, with no itemized receipt. I was clearly overcharged. Spaghetti sauce was watery, the grilled chicken was fried, and there was only about five slices of chicken. Topped with bread that had seemed to be microwaved as it was toasted at one point earlier in the evening. The Well tequila was cheap and the margarita tasted like corn syrup.. I guess you get what you pay for when it comes to all you can eat spaghetti. I ate a little bit of what was on the plate. Overall, after spending $50, I would've been more satisfied somewhere else, or ordering food to my hotel room. read more

I came here on a Wednesday, and we got to watch the Dream Girls Revue performing on stage. Fabulous! If you're feeling hungry, they got the eats! Just know that most dishes you need to add fries or sides if you want. Only thing I was disappointed in the nachos. My friend talked it up. But it was burnt and I couldn't eat it. We came in for Bubbles for Brunch on a Saturday around 11:30AM celebrating a birthday. I love coming back here for a drag show. Was having too much fun to take picture. We had a reservation. TLDR the food we all got were huge portions that definitely can be shared and drinks are strong so be careful. The drag performers are always great and very entertaining. Food 3.5/5 but performances 5/5. Support our local drag queens! Food: We ordered the Spicy Chilaquiles and Eggs and their Pineapple Starburst alcoholic drink. The food portions in general are huge here and can be hit or miss depending on what you get. The chilaquiles were good but the chips were kinda soggy for my liking. The pineapple starburst was good but again it's a gay bar so the pour is strong . Service: The staff were great and very playful. This is a drag brunch so it was very interactive and we were there to be entertained. I loved all the performances, just like every time I come back. Kickxy Vixen is always a good host for the show and always entertained by them. Ambiance: The place was definitely a gay bar atmosphere. If you come for Bubbles for Brunch, be prepared for loud music and tipping with dollar bills. Each brunch is different depending on the theme they want to do but always entertaining. I was at Sunday Brunch with a friend down the street, she raved about how fabulous Urban Mo's was and how I must attend one of the dinner drag shows. Well that was very short lived. Later that day she tried to go there with her service dog, was denied entry and told her dog was not a service animal. Not only are they not dog friendly (which is wild to me for such a dog friendly town), they are not service animal educated. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), businesses and staff may only ask two specific questions when a service dog's status is not obvious: whether the dog is a service animal required because of a disability, and what work or task the dog has been trained to perform. After reading through the reviews this was not an isolated incident. It's clear that this business discriminates against individuals with disabilities by denying access to those with service animals. While I never want to patronize a place where all are not welcome, I advocate for families who are differently able. I will be reporting this place for intentional discrimination and exclusion. read more

What can I say about this place except that it is an Awesome establishment and I always have such a wonderful time when I visit. The place is so festive and decorated and there's a whole other game room with things like giant jenga! I've only come for dinner but every time I've gone it's been breathtaking. The food is super affordable and delicious and they have specials every day of the week! I love their baked potatoes! Their quesadillas and pizzas are also a great deal and mighty tasty! Lastly, I have never had a bad interaction with staff here- the servers are always so friendly and attentive. The one we seem to regularly get is Derek and he is awesome- always goes above and beyond to ensure our meal is spectacular. 5 stars well earned in my book! read more

Love Urban Mo's! I came here twice with my friend. We went here during pride a few years back and the latest time was for a show! They do shows every Wednesday and it's super affordable. It was my first time watching a drag show and it was the best experience ever. There were the perfect amount of tables and so so much fun. My friend and I got tater tots to share (which were absolutely delicious by the way). I can't wait to come back here and try more of their food and watch some more shows! read more

Review is for Babette's Bingo! @ MO's. First time here for bingo. This is not a drag show with multiple entertainers. It's just a bingo event hosted by the legend Babette Schwartz. As a group we were busy eating/catching up and kept missing numbers being called out. There is no digital board to show the numbers visually and recounts were rare. Overall, Babette is amazing and kept us entertained. The crowd is so supportive and fun! Tips: Put in your food and drinks order early as they get busy and wait time for food might take longer than usual. Ours took over 30 mins. It didn't help when some of our orders went to the wrong table. The food menu for these type of events are limited. You don't get the restaurant full menu. Our waiter is very attentive and cute. For dry January, I ordered a soda and he gave me a mini pitcher of coke. Overall, we had a great time. read more

This is a very spacious bar with I'd say 3 sections: 1 section that is mainly seating, 1 section around a middle room placed bar, and then 1 section towards the back for dancing and where trivia happens. Food is delicious and the servers are so kind. I don't come here to dance just for events. Parking can be hard since it's hillcrest but that's usually well known. Seriously, I'd give nine stars if I could. The space in Hilcrest is cute, with a relaxed vibe during the morning and party vibe later on. We were there on a Sunday and the servers were all dressed to match a midday drag show that was scheduled for the day which made it extra fun. Everyone working was so nice, and our server was the exact right level of attentive. The menu is fun, with lots of great drink options and plenty of NA drinks too. We had breakfast, and I ordered the chilaquiles, which is a risk if you've read my other breakfast reviews. But in this case, while it was a bit more of a deconstructed vibe vs traditional casserole, the dish had the right texture and amazing flavors. The space is so colorful and enticing and I loved how organized the staff was with helping us find our seats, and friendly throughout the night. I ordered the fish and chips, and though they came a little late (during the show so I felt like I couldn't eat out of respect to the amazing talent) it was pretty delicious, even cold haha. It is on the pricier side but the portions are generously sized. My only complaint is that some of the bathroom stalls don't close or lock, so it was a little awkward/uncomfortable. I did ask someone if they could guard my door and they did lol. Otherwise a great and fun space that I'd definitely come back to. read more

MO's is one of my favourite places in Hillcrest. I love this venue! I've been dined, danced, drank, and enjoyed drag in Mo's for the three decades it's been in business. Back in the day, I enjoyed the weekly ritual of Spaghetti and Show-tunes with friends which is still a staple of Mo's. The diverse drag shows and drag queens that perform here are exceptional! The long running Dreamgirls Revue with Chad Michaels is always professional, well done, and fabulous show. Mariam T. is absolutely wonderful! She's the ultimate wacky comedy and performance queen with the most incredible and realized costume visions. Her Lisa Frank inspired Bride of Frankenstein and Pride fits this year have been a couple of my favourites. The food is very California Mexican fusion. I highly recommend the nachos with chicken and the shredded cheese. Perfect shareable meal. You can never go wrong with their breakfast style brunch options either. My favourite servers, Danny and Danny, always greet us with a smile and a hug and fantastic service. Now for the cocktails...drinking in Hillcrest is not for the faint of heart of the weak of stomach. Bartenders like Pablo know how to take care of their customers. If you are a lightweight I cannot stress this enough stop overindulging and not making it to the toilet and soiling the bathroom floors for someone else to clean up after your foul habits! Be kind. Stopped by over the holidays; the decor was over the top with an abundance of teddy bears. Imagine my surprise when I saw prime rib on the menu. This is a Wednesday special for $29, and I had to get it. I ordered it medium rare but it came grilled on both sides. It was dark inside and I was initially worried that the piece of meat would be well done. But, as I cut into it, I could see that it was at most a medium, and it was tender. I think it's a faux pas to grill prime rib slices, but I think they do it as their way of reheating the (usually) pre-cooked prime rib. My friends and I stop here every time we are in SD- I love the ambiance and have always had amazing service from the bartenders on both sides. Recently however the waitress wouldn't honor their own happy hour...the signs were on every table and outside and it was well below the cut off time. Such a fun place with already fully loaded and grand holiday decor! Great spots for pictures, two fully stocked and functioning bars and a good sized dance floor. The staff was awesome, helpful and friendly and the bartender was generous with the pours. We had some food leftover items from our dinner and although these were not allowed inside they have a designated holding spot, which we totally appreciated because we didn't have to carry them around inside. We stopped by on a Friday and my only reason for the missing star is due to the music that night. I was hoping to get a little dance in but all that was playing was Taylor Swift music... then again with all the TS pics everywhere, maybe it is a Swiftie locale and I wasn't informed either way, would prob give it another shot and just visit again on a different night. read more
