We have been impressed every time we have come here. This Valentine's Day wasn't any different. The service was impeccable, we didn't have a reservation and sat at the bar. Went here with a friend for the first time as I had read a few good reviews. The place is aesthetically beautiful but the downside is that the noise level is so high it is difficult to have a conversation without yelling. The waiter told us that they were working on the noise level and apologized. We were there early and the noise level just got louder and louder. The food was somewhat uneventful. We ordered a few side dishes and they were good...corn and Brussels had nice flavor. The pizza is truly mediocre. When we have choices of pizza from Pane Bianco, LGO, The Parlor, etc., this pizza was a disappointment (both the pepperoni and the sausage). Our waiter was nice but service was slow. The atmosphere is great, the restaurant is beautiful and the service is on point but there's inconsistency in food. Our party got several things and some were ok and others great. Avocado hummus, cauliflower, branzino and mini doughnuts excellent. Meatballs, pizza, salmon kebabs and quinoa just ok. Also the salmon kebabs are super tiny for the price would have been better to get the entree. The pizza, hummus, french fries and cocktails were great, paired with an awesome view of Piestawa Peak from the rooftop patio. However, our server was rude and dismissive of us from the start, making the whole experience uncomfortable. She also told us we couldn't order certain cocktails on the menu from the rooftop bar while another server or bartender said it was no problem. I was really hoping to be able to leave a good review. The restaurant is nice & location is great, but my husband & I visited for the first time last Monday and got violently ill. We had the petit filet & diver scallops (we are thinking that was the culprit). I called the manager on Wednesday (too weak on Tuesday) to give him a "heads up" that something was wrong in the kitchen. I have never had to do that before but was expecting a bit more follow-up from the manager. He said he would check with the chef & call me back by the end of the day or the next day at the latest. It is now 3 days later & I have not heard a word. It was not an inexpensive meal, and we paid dearly in other ways as well. Since the manager hasn't followed up, I feel obliged to warn others. The open air patio is outstanding, the food is fresh and unlike the rest around. The grilled octopus was just perfect, the beautiful atmosphere, and on point perfect service (waitress Susan) all lead to an amazing dining experience rather than simply just a dinner. Within our group we tried 3 different ones---all fantastic and such cool attention to detail. Even the glassware is beautiful. We ate a lot--- Vegetable crudite --- beautifully presented with delicious whipped feta for dipping. Ahi Tuna Crudo --- literally melt in mouth fantastic Fried chicken --- de-lish Scallops --- again melt in mouth insane amazing Lamb chops -- absolutely beautiful. If my mom hadn't ordered them well done I'm sure they would have been actual perfection. I had lunch there this past Friday. We were forced to sit on the enclosed porch, which was quite cold. The service was terrible. It took about 90 minutes to eat lunch. It was as if they kept forgetting about us. It probably took 30 minutes just to place our order. They never filled our water glasses. And when they finally brought our food out they didn't know who ordered what. They got it 100% wrong, even though there were only 3 of us. Definitely disappointed with the service and lack of transparency with this restaurant. We first ordered the artichoke which did not come out for 40 minutes. Half our party was done with their entrees before the artichoke came out. When we asked why it took so long our server told us that it usually takes this long to come out. Which was lie, I'm assuming she forgot to ring it in and decided to cover for it. Then we all ordered some well cocktails except one person in our party ordered a Gin & tonic with Hendricks. We were then all charged for Hendricks Gin and Tito's Vodka for our cocktails. When we brought up the charge with our server, she explained that Hendricks gin and Tito's vodka were their well drinks. I believe that was another lie because I have never been to a fine dining place that has those as their well drinks. My male friend had the best service here! When we sat down our waitress was more than willing to share her favorite cocktails and food items with him. With me unfortunately, she didn't see that I was sitting at the table. I know it can be difficult with a table for 2. We got the desert menus and again, she told my friend what she would recommend, donuts I believe, but when he said I didn't want anything she came with "our bill." I had to come out of the shadow and let her know that we are actually paying separate and I was actually a guest also. Dined here a few nights ago with a party of six. Ambiance and decor made a great first impression. Had a fantastic glass of cab. Apps and dinner were just ok. 20oz ribeye for two left a lot to be desired. I had one piece and I let my husband eat the rest because it was so small. Luckily I had ordered a side of veggies. Our server was great, very attentive and friendly. Server and wine gets 5 stars, unfortunately the food missed the mark for us. A couple days later my husband noticed his card had been charged an extra $70. He had left a cash tip and he put a line through the tip section on the receipt instead of writing in "cash". He called and they said it must have been an error. To me, it seems as though whoever batched out the credit cards (usually a manager) may have assumed the customer didn't tip and took it upon themselves to add 20%. Just a guess, because the extra charges equaled approximately that. Kind of shady either way. read more

We are really not happy with our Mother's Day brunch. Party of 5. We had our reservations at 4pm and we can't find the restaurant and parking. We were there around 4:25pm and we don't have enough times to enjoy our food much. Most of the trays are empty especially like oysters and shrimps... and take them forever to refill them. The buffet is overpriced!!! We have 3 kids (11, 9,6) .... and when we see the bill , it is $378!!! You must be kidding!!! With this price, we expected to get more choices of seafood(not just shrimps cocktails and raw oysters) and more selections of food! Not like only pizza, pizza, pizza, ...hummus ... salad, steamed green beans with carrots, potatoes, bacons, eggs( looked old) . Worse dessert: chocolate chip cookie, burned cheesecake, brownies, raisin cookies) . You tell me I got to pay all these food for that price???? We think we deserved a discount price which they are closing soon and not being refilled most of the food! The front desk should at least tell us that they are closing soon and give us an option to decide we like to go ahead for the brunch or walk away!!! This was a wild disappointment. It was 4pm on a Thursday. The entire place was empty. The reviews made us excited for another great restaurant in our neighborhood. We walked into a very empty room. So empty we even asked if they were open! The hostess assured us it was with a laugh and we sat ourselves at the bar. The bartender brought us water and we commented to each other that the build out was very nice. We used to come to this location when it was Houston's so we liked the design. We got our drinks in a timely manner and then we were ghosted. The only people at the bar at the time were my husband and I and one businessman who also ordered a drink and was ignored. After about 10 minutes we stopped the bartender and asked if we could order food. He responded curtly with a "yes" and did nothing. He left the bar area, we assumed to grab menus, and returned with glasses he then proceeded to put away. . No menu or follow up. He proceeded to say nothing to us for another 10 minutes before we laughed and said "let's go". He clearly didn't want us there. For a place that is trying to build a reputation among the 25 quality restaurants in the area this was an atrocious first impression. We dropped a 20 on the bar in front of him to cover the one drink and Diet Coke. He walked away from it. Literally - one word fell out of his miserable mouth. "Yes". I've been here a few times for lunch and happy hour. The place has fantastic service and great decor. The cocktail service is top shelf. The bartenders know their craft and have a great cocktail list. The food is just ok. The flat breads are more like a sandwich (think gyros) than what I generally conceptualize as a flat bread. I've been twice. First visit for cocktails with my adult children which was very good, we had warm olives and bread with cocktails that everyone enjoyed. Thought it would be worth coming for dinner. Made reservations weeks in advance asking for a quiet table. We were seated in a side room and told it would be a quiet location for my husband and myself by our server. DInner was a mixed bag. My salmon and brocollini was delicious. The shrimp starter and side carrots were wellover seasoned and my husbands kebabs were inedible, charcoaled beyond recognition. He was uncomfortable asking to send them back so he tried scraping the edges as much as he could. Half way through the meal they sat a table of 14 right next to us who treated the entire room as their own, standing right next to our table making us feel very uncomfortable.
