We asked for patio, as one of our party is a medical professional and is very cautious, due to the virus, and we wanted to be outside. They neglected to tell us the "patio" was completely enclosed, and only open when the weather is not so hot. Our guest said OK, as the receptionist lectured us on wearing our masks at all times except when seated at our table, and she made a point of saying "even when you go the restroom". Our table was "social distanced" from the other diners. Our server was wearing a mask, BUT only covering the mouth NOT the nose. Made our guest uncomfortable, but said not to say anything or not to leave. The service and food were very good, and we may return after the "virus" issues. The bar and couch seating areas were very full with none wearing masks and not "social distancing". Those patrons did NOT wear masks when going to the restroom (two of them were in the restroom with me, without masks). Mask rule must only apply when eating at a table. read more

This place is absolutely terrible! I saw a cockroach. I reported the sighting to our server, and she just shrugged it off, and moved us to another table. Starting with interesting specialty cocktails, an array of appetizers and small plates, straight through to entrees and desserts, everything presented in an appealing way. Beautiful design, average food, slow service and one of the noisiest restaurant/bars in town. Sadly, no consideration taken when choosing materials to reduce noise. We were here last night for our monthly ladies dinner and had the best time. The food and service was great. Brittney was an amazing server. She was the right amount of attentive and was extremely sweet and welcoming. I had the scallops and they were amazing, also had the short rib hummus, and cauliflower which was also great. Our wine was awesome. Susan was impeccable and provided the best service and was great to speak with. She provided us with great recommendations on wine and food. We had the heirloom tomato salad (a special going on) and it was AWESOME. We also had the buttata and short rib hummus . All amazing dishes. It's a great spot. I asked for a bottle of wine and instead received a glass then told the waitress I had asked for a bottle and she said i wouldnt be charged for the glass and when I got the bill I was still charged for the glass I did not ask for! We went for Happy Hour. The HH menu is limited, service is ok, the food is good. But if you are looking for value, this is not the place. We had oysters, fresh market crudités, and burrata with pesto. I eat gluten-free so the bread w/ burrata was out. But the prosciutto, burrata and pesto was delicious. Found Flint on Yelp and went there to celebrate my birthday with my family and this restaurant truly did not disappoint. We went for lunch so it was slow but it gave us the opportunity to see the entire layout of the restaurant and have a perfect view of the chefs preparing food in the back. They have an entire glass wall where you can see (and smell ) your food being prepared! The ambiance is very modern and unique and extremely clean. There was room for both big and small parties and it also looked like they had private rooms available for guests to book as well as a heated indoor patio! Our waiter was well informed on each dish on the menu and provided us with great sharing plates. He also recommended a fantastic white wine for us to enjoy! We ended up ordering the short rib hummus, burrata, mushroom pizza and Brussel sprouts and each dish was equally delicious as the next. What a cool new spot! Decor is fresh, beautiful and pristine. Really pretty wine room right when you walk in and exposed kitchen via big glass wall. The patio is my favorite place to sit...it's a year round patio with beautiful olive trees. Food and cocktails are excellent. The Flint Old Fashion is delicious! Appetizers not to miss- short rib hummus with a big pita cloud on the side, eggplant dip, tuna crudo... I get the scallops nearly every time I'm there so should probably venture out but they're so good. Get the warm donuts to finish it off and maybe an espresso martini that's as big as your head. read more

Ambiance-kid screaming and throwing food at the table next to us, service- waitress could not open the $700 bottle of wine we ordered and one of the guys at our table had to help her and open it!!! If we wanted to open our own bottle we would do that at home...The first bottle of champagne for our toast was not evenly poured between 5 people and she filled all four glasses to the rim with the last person getting less than half a glass. So embarrassing. I ordered the scallops and they were nothing to remember. Served on a bed of corn...not a flavorful dish. We were celebrating an engagement and we were excited to check out upstairs to see if it's where we wanted to have our engagement party. After dinner our server let us know there was a table for us ready upstairs. We sat there for 15 minutes and nobody came to greet us or get our drink order. After we just spent a lot of money. Let's just start off with the fact that our "server" first approached the table and didn't say anything but hello and poured water. Good thing I didn't prefer bottle still or sparkling... I thought she was the server assistant. Guess not. She then proceeded to say after that if you guys have any questions please let me know, ok. One thing I know thats improper verbiage especially for an establishment like this.. you say for the table, gentlemen or ladies it's just common courtesy. When she arrived back at the table I was still confused as to who she really was, so I specifically asked if she was our server taking care of us for the evening and what her name was, looks like I have to help her out with her job. Honestly overhyped and overrated. Food was actually amazing but the "20 oz" bone in rib-eye was not nearly close to that size. Trust me when I tell you. The server on top of the "great" introduction seemed unsure about every single question I had.. literally. Couldn't tell us the bourbon whiskey selections nor tequila selections. I then asked about oysters, confirming what their East and West coast options are and shocker couldn't even tell me that without having to double check yet again. On top of that got my drink order wrong. I specifically ordered a whistle pig 10 old-fashioned and she gave it to me in a Manhattan. We were pouring our own water and our own wine. I understand it and I get the confusion but as a server that's one of your main priorities is to know and understand the menu and for the price point that your establishment is, your employees need to be trained up to par and the standard you seem to have needs some work. Looked around the dining room half the night and all tables weren't bussed nor cleared it just wasn't a very good environment I wouldn't recommend. read more

Potential is there, execution is severely lacking. New, hip spot in the Biltmore Esplanade area of Camelback. Trying to be something it is not currently. Completely overmatched by supply/demand on a Friday night. Booked a late night reservation, showed up early, but still was not able to be sat until 25 mins beyond the reservation time. We weren't the only ones, as we heard a couple complain they were 45 mins beyond and witnessed a six top and two top that were seated walk out due to a lack of service. Once seated, it did take 10 mins for service... but to their credit, once service started things worked well. Mind you it was now closing time. The cocktails were very solid, the group enjoyed them. The wine menu is also solid, though the servers need more training on it. The food itself ranges the spectrum from meh to great. I would highly recommend the scallops and octopus. Would not recommend the artichoke (poor "meat"), hummus (almost sour taste to it) or salmon (why cover an oily fish with a oily tapenade?). Ultimately it felt like there were more busboys and hostesses than servers and that was an issue. Too many open tables that weren't set/cleaned in a timely fashion. Witnessed one table turnover, be set for four, then reset, then reset for six... then reset again, before sitting anyone. It took 20+ mins to get this table turned... that's not a good look when you have reservations waiting. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt, but if your looking for a GREAT meal with GREAT cocktails in the Biltmore area... go to the The Gladly. read more
