I'm not really sure what to say. This is like a high end fast food restaurant. I wouldn't recommend dining here (meaning in house) but the food is pretty good and the prices aren't too bad. Everyone is very friendly and the food came out quick. I've only been once but definitely worth giving it a shot! I give it a 3 because I consider it fast food and I anticipated it being a sit down , service was a little slow. We came here after a trip to see the birds at Mass Audubon and figured it would be only appropriate. Chicken sandwiches don't usually excite me, tbh, but these are DIFFERENT. Amazing food! Had the Angry Bird - perfect mix of crunch, sweet and spice - and the Early Bird - the egg yolk was a perfect compliment to the tasty, chicken crunch. Both sandwiches delicious! Fries and the accompanying bayou sauce was awesome. We barely had room for the side order of three mammoth biscuits which were so good. Whenever I'm craving for a chicken sandwich I always go for this place. The wait is about 5-10 minutes depending on how busy it is, but the sandwiches are worth the wait. My boyfriend and I always go here -- I get the Angry Bird and he gets the OG dipped in Nashville sauce (which tastes good btw). The lemonade is perfect. I wish the place had more space so it could have more tables, but other than that, I strongly recommend this place! read more

Slight upgrade here. Picked it up at the Cabot street location. I've been to the Cabot st spot twice now. I've been to Swampscott store 15 times maybe. Go the extra distance to get to Swampscott store-WAYYYYY BETTER. Swampscott best chicken sandwich ever PERIOD. I think Beverly has prefried their chicken so they can just throw the sandwich together alah Burger King style. Swampscott seems to fry to order. Just simply a different league all together. Came in hungry - left very satisfied. This one is a gem on the Northshore. I had the "OG", fries with a side of ranch and the coleslaw. My son had the "The Early Bird" and fries with truffle ketchup. He had a lemonade and I had an Arnold Palmer. The use piantedosi buns, We saw the boxes around the restaurant. The sandwiches were awesome. The piece of chicken is huge and perfectly cooked. The buns were fresh and flavorful. The "OG" had plenty of homemade buttermilk ranch and numerous pickles. The sandwich got better with each bite. The fries are large and crispy and the sauces are the perfect accompaniment. My son devoured his Early Bird. The service was fast and efficient. My only negative was that the coleslaw was so-so. Not a lot of flavor and I love a good coleslaw. I can't wait to be back in Beverly to visit a new favorite. May even try "The Cry Bird" read more

Tie place is great! The fried chicken is done perfectly every time and they have some great sandwich options. I'm also a sucker for a good biscuit. I pretty much get one whenever and wherever I have the chance (it's one of my favorite things about traveling down south), and I would say the biscuits at Flip the Bird are as good as any I've ever had. read more

We ordered 3 of the variations of sandwiches they offer, the Nashville Hot was spicy, great flavor, the OG was perfectly crisp and tasty and the naked was perfectly fried and plain just the way my son likes it!! Fried to perfection and not too greasy isn't an easy combination to achieve! I had the sweet tea which was perfection and pair deliciously with my sandwich and fries! We sat outside, great ambiance!! Big fan of chick fil a, and pop eyes when it comes to chicken sandwiches, but Flip the Bird has both of them beat. Super fresh, and great taste. The fries are amazing, and truffle ketchup is so unique and delicious. There's always a line when I go but it's worth it. I also respect that they don't use grubhub or other delivery services (even though it can be inconvenient when I'm lazy, they're good enough to roll out of bed for). The OG is a standard, but if you like spicy food, their habanero and ghost pepper chicken sandwiches won't disappoint - just use the gloves because it actually does sting your skin. read more

Both were great and the cry bird was as advertised, hottest thing I have eaten in a while. Little small inside so when it's busy might be tough to find a seat so if you go during popular hours plan to take it home maybe. Other than that, absolutely loved it. I have been here before and it has been very good. The last 2x were not great. I use the toast app frequently to order food from many establishments. Ordering at Flip the Bird it is difficult to convey exactly what you want. At pick up there is not a smile or friendly greeting. They seem inconvenienced by your presence.
