Was a toss up between here and yas chicken should of went to Yas. Ordered the Nashville chicken which was terrible. Had a drizzle of sauce on bottom of a piece of fried chicken and some coleslaw. Nashville sauce usually is smothered on the chicken. I'd give 5 stars for the ribs and fries thou. read more

You need to order ahead and pick up is nice and easy as you walk in. These fried chicken sangys have to be the best in town, but likely are the best in Massachusetts. I have been 5-6 times now. My favorite is a chicken sandwich on a biscuit with honey butter and hot honey. 2nd favorite is a chicken sandwich on a biscuit with bbq sauce, bacon, and cheddar. One of the worst experiences I've had in a long time. the service was absolutely disgusting. the employees were flat out rude, and got my order wrong messing up the most simple of tasks( I asked for a strawberry milkshake and they gave me vanilla.. the food was cold and I waited 35 minutes when I was the only one in the restaurant. will never eat here again. -5 stars if that was possible. I've tried a lot of fried chicken sandwiches over the years and just recently tried "Flip the Bird" which recently opened a Swampscott location. Well it is the best by far, better than KFC, better than Popeye's, and better than Chick-fil-a. The buttermilk ranch dressing was amazingly good (I normally do not like ranch dressing). The chicken tasted very fresh and if you are a traveler, you'd swear it had a bit of the flavor that Frankenmuth Michigan is known for. It was crispy and fit the large potato bun and toppings. As far as I know it's only available in the north shore communities, but what a treat. read more

My wife's been wanting to check Flip The Bird out for awhile and I wish we'd gone sooner... this place is great. Huge sandwiches cooked to order. She got one with cole slaw, pickles and ranch dressing and I got one on a biscuit with BBQ sauce, plus fries. There's a little spicy kick but it's not too hot. Finally got a chance to visit the Swampscott location for lunch today , and it didn't disappoint on all the hype that has been generated for this new franchise. The ultimate indulgence in a chicken sandwich and fries , the other half got the Nashville hot , witch was fantastic and I'll be getting on my return visit . I shyed away since I like hot stuff , but it doesn't like me . I had a bite of hers and was mild for a hot sandwich. I went with the signature "OG " with ranch and pickles , chicken had great crunch and flavor , as you can tell it was a house made fillet . Sturdy Brioche bun held it all together.fries were hot and very much like Kelly's. Server was pleasant and enjoyable to interact with , a once a month visit is not out of the question in our take out rotation. Being a catering chef , I appreciate the effort and fresh ingredients this restaurant uses and should be a huge success for locals and visitors alike .that being said , great to see all customers coming out with order bags , as we sat in the car and enjoyed our lunch . The food is good here but the service is heading downhill. Currently at a 25 minute wait past when my food was supposed to be ready, no apology or explanation. Tons of customers waiting, no system to allow people with an online order to get there food, they have to wait behind in person orders. read more

When you want a fried chicken sandwich there is no better place around. My wife had the OG, I had the Nashville hot. We split an order of fries and a quarter rack of the baby back ribs. Sandwiches are oversized and deliciously Fried and tender meat. Back ribs were delicious and tender fall off the bone. Sandwiches are delicious but I tried a salad today and they forgot to include the dressing which I did not notice until I got home. Since there is no way to communicate with this business by phone, text, Email or adding any kind of comments into the ordering field I literally have no way to go get the dressing unless I either re-order and pay for it and go get it or drive all the way back and walk in. Tonight was our third time going to this location. Every time there has been an issue, but tonight takes the cake. The first time, it had just opened so it was understandable we had to wait--not for an hour but ok fine, they're training people. The second time, again extremely long wait. Tonight, I ordered online, left a little late to pick up and still waited a half hour for an order that was wrong and was missing a sandwich. The two that were there barely had any ranch. While I waited I saw three or four other people who's orders were also wrong. Their food is definitely tasty and unique for the area but something has to change. read more
