    Cheeseburger

This place used to have one of the best burgers in town. Haven't tried it since I moved but came back for it and they really went down hill in flavor. Hopefully it's a one time thing but it was so bad I wouldn't look forward to trying again.

So I'm here on a business trip and decided to try this place out since it was walking distance from my hotel. Another reason why I decided to try this place was because someone had given me the recommendation... but to be completely honest, it wasn't the best burger place I've tried. I ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger, which wasn't really seasoned. I also ordered the rosemary and garlic fries but to my disappointment, the fires came out to me first (cold not hot) and the taste of the rosemary was way too overpowering, not really being able to taste the garlic, and the ketchup was given in packets!!! No bottle or container but packets!!! The fries was a pretty big portion, but to have ketchup packets was kind of a chore to open each and every one to have just a little bit of ketchup come out. They also had a broken fountain drink machine, so I ended up getting a bottled Diet Coke. For dessert, I asked the cashier what she recommended and she said that the strawberry shortcake shake was amazing...but it really fell short in my opinion. The service was great and the servers and staff were all friendly and professional but the food wasn't anything great or memorable (in a good way). In total I spent about $31 for my "artisan burger", "gourmet fries", their "signature shake" and a small bottle of Diet Coke...forgot to mention that they don't serve regular service water, but over priced bottled water. This restaurant is inside the casino, and perhaps that's why the prices were so high!! But being a frequent visitor in Vegas, casino restaurants are usually affordable since they are inside a casino, but not this place. I'm glad I had the opportunity to try this place, but I probably would've been happy eating at McDonald's and it costing me only a fraction of the price. The restaurant concept looked great, but the food wasn't that good. Don't take my word for it, try it out and let me know what you think!!

I had the vegan burger and onions rings today. The vegan burger is probably the best one I've tried so far, buns were buttered and toasted, onions rings are huge and perfectly crunchy and golden. Service is always a plus because the waitress is very friendly and kind.

Absolutely one of the best burgers I've ever had. Expensive yes but so freakin juicy !!! It was a struggle to get one bite out of it it was so big, presented beautifully. Wish I could've had another

Today's Tuesday burger special was a 1/2 lb pizza burger, fries, and a 20 oz beverage for $15.  The Tuesday special changes every week apparently, so I tried that today.  It was ok for the price (and don't forget an additional 10% off with your Rivers casino card).  The burger patty itself was juicy and fine. Pizza toppings weren't my fav but ok.  The side of fries was generous but only of so-so quality.  An OK 3 stars for this Tuesday deal feels about right.

They make great chopped chicken salad. They have the best bacon ever.

This place has an excellent chopped chicken salad. They also serve up all types of very good burgers and a shrimp po boy which is loaded with shrimp. Onion rings are top notch. Those are items I've had and many other items are available too. Service is friendly and prompt. Worth checking out.

Flipt Burger has a lot of potential with its great service and friendly staff. The concept is appealing, and the overall atmosphere is comfortable, though the decor is fairly standard. However, there are some significant areas for improvement when it comes to the food. The burgers are a major letdown. The meat patty is disappointingly small, about half the expected size. Although it's supposed to be a quarter-pound, it feels more like a nickel in size. This drastic reduction in portion size seriously impacts the overall experience. Additionally, the chicken sandwich also falls short due to excessive breading, making it less enjoyable. The buns, unfortunately, are dry, which further detracts from the meal.To truly succeed, Flipt Burger should focus on improving both the quantity and quality of their food. Increasing the size of the burger patty to meet expectations, reducing the breading on the chicken sandwich, and ensuring the buns are fresh and soft would make a world of difference. With these changes, Flipt Burger could become a go-to spot in Des Plaines.

My little 1/4 lb. burger with cheddar cheese. Yummmm.

I have been told by several people that this is a great burger joint and for the first time ever, I did not let the Yelp reviews scare me off and I gave it a shot. Trying to keep our expenses to a minimum, my hubby and I have found ways to keep our food bills (and essentially calorie count) lower...we skip the soda, we share a side dish, we share a meal, we don't add all the extras like soups and salads. With doing these things, we can save anywhere from $5 to $25 dollars depending on where we're eating. Last night was no exception to this rule. I knew this wasn't the cheapest place to eat but I wanted to surprise my husband with a little date night somewhere new. Like I said, I have been hearing for a while that Flipt is a great burger joint and I have a few friends that actually go to the casino specifically to eat here and don't even gamble so I figured if they can do that, why can't I? Even with cash in my wallet, I proved to myself that I can have some serious self control when I want to. We walked in to the casino, stopped to use the restroom, and made our way over to Flipt in the corner of Rivers casino next to the buffet. You order your food at the counter, where you can also ask the employees about any food questions, I saw a poster on the walk up to the counter with a special $14 deal which includes a Half Pound BBQ Teriyaki Burger, with fries and a tropical shake with pineapple. Steve liked the sound of this, so that was his choice. I asked the girls at the counter which they preferred, the burgers or the chicken sandwiches? And they both said the burgers so I selected a quarter pound with cheddar cheese, pickles, lettuce, ketchup and mustard. I ordered my own side of fries which you can add to anything for $3 instead of the $5 you would pay if you just ordered a side of fries. You take your order number on a little stand to your table of choice and you wait. They technically are set up to just bring you your already paid for food and you clear your own plates, but Jose was kind enough to check on tables regularly and even cleared plates and cups throughout the whole place. I was impressed. My hubby and I both thoroughly enjoyed our food and I even ate my entire burger. I learned that we can easily share an order of fries. There is no reason to order my own because they give you plenty in one order. My only complaint is that their ketchup tastes like generic crappy ketchup. I was not a fan of it. It may have been the dispenser that we got it out of that may be in need of a cleaning, or it was in fact, generic ketchup, either way, I was not a fan. We will def eat here again, we will share an order of fries and we can easily keep our bill around $20. To all you people complaining about how expensive it is...cut back on the extras. $20 for dinner our in our area ain't bad!

This is our favorite restaurant within Rivers Casino. Service is prompt and food is good. We usually order the Flipt burger, which is around $12. It does not come with fries - FYI. They must've changed the bun of the burgers because it's not what I remember it tasting. We also got the tomato soup. It was good. On Monday and Tuesdays, they have specials and $1 sodas.

I'm so glad for Flipt and Rivers in general. My friend had an unexpected overnight layover and Rosemont has no place that's open later than 10. A town catered to tourists and no place to eat late night. I knew Rivers would be open and fortunately, so was Flipt. I ended up ordering the Makin Bacon burger and split a basket of fries. I forgot to add any veggies and I went up to ask for toppings and ketchup for fries. One of the friendly staff members let me know where the ketchup us and when I also asked for veggies it was no problem for her to give me a salad to go on top of my burger. The fries were also tasty and with the Domaine Dupage added to it I have to say I was pretty satisfied. A lot better than some local places, and 3.5 stars for the booze and surprisingly attentive service.

    Natalie Z.

I love this place! One of the best burgers in the area. It is located in the back of the Casino, truly a little hidden gem. I don't know about some of the complaints on this place because I have never had a bad experience here and I normally come late at night.... The burgers are delicious and come with tiny wooden spatulas in them when they are ready-precious. The staff is great- super nice and they always make sure your food is made the way you want it and that it gets to you quickly. I would highly recommend taking a break from your gambling and checking this place out.

Was at casino and this is one of the only place I haven't tried, so here we go. Quick and accurate, ordered the black and Bleau, they asked how I wanted it cooked and I was surprised when it came out right. (Mainly because I was expecting a more fast food type burger...not complaining) it's kind of counter service. I will def be back, reasonably priced, good food and good service

    Shrimp Po'boy
    Efraim R.

Located inside the casino. If you happen to loose on the blackjack tables the manager will give you a food voucher for your sorrows. Then indulge in a super delicious rivers burger or a Po'boy comes loaded with shrimp. They have monthly and weekly specials. Rivers card holders get discounts tru the mail. Prices are casino prices so don't look for McDonald's value meals here.

Two of my friends ordered their burgers with the bumper sauce on the side. When our food came out, there was only one cup of sauce for both burgers. My friend politely went up to the counter and explained that both burgers were supposed to have the sauce on the side. That's when Garrett, who identified himself as the manager, turned what should have been a 10-second fix into an unnecessary confrontation. The most unbelievable part was watching another employee try to make things right by handing us a full cup of sauce, only for Garrett to take it away, pour some of it out, and hand us back a half-filled cup just to prove a point. I've honestly never seen a manager act that petty over something so insignificant. Seriously...what kind of business sense does that make? Three customers spend $60, and you're willing to lose them over sauce that costs less than a dollar? Instead of taking care of customers and supporting his employee, Garrett chose to argue over a condiment. This wasn't about trying to get something for free. We were simply asking for what was ordered. A good manager understands that customer service is what keeps people coming back. Unfortunately, Garrett showed the exact opposite. The food itself was good, but customer service can make or break a restaurant. Because of how Garrett handled such a simple issue, we won't be back, and I certainly can't recommend this place to anyone looking to be treated with respect.

In the meantime, I ordered a Hot Chick (medium heat), with a side of fries, some extra pickles, and the garlic sauce to make my Slavic heart happy. The food came out fresh from the bubbling oil, it could be handled without burns, but clearly spent no time under a lamp. Both the chicken and the fries were fried to a delectable crunch. No twice-fried-as-an-excuse here, genuinely well done. My only note is that it feels as though the fries and chicken *may* have spent an extra 15 seconds in the fryer. While the innards were tender, it felt as though a tinge of moisture was sacrificed without need. The fries were seasoned perfectly, and other than the usual delight of dipping them into everything on the plate, they were perfect as they were. Fantastic amount too, not the starch overload of Five Guys, but not a skimpy serving either. The chicken sandwich was the real star. The medium contained some proper spice without having smoke come out the ears. It was well sauced, and had a great hit of acid from the pickles. Out of left field came the slaw: I was not expecting to like this to the point of almost leaving it out. However, it was fresh, felt homemade, and wasn't a mayonnaise bomb. Would order the again without complaints or reservations. I also had a chance to try their house-made lemonade. I appreciate that they use zero-calorie sweetener to cut down on sugars. However, it came out too sweet for my liking. It would be helpful to have options of level and type of sweet. Final notes: The server behind the counter was very welcoming and friendly, and the food came out in a reasonable time frame considering how fresh everything was. Final verdict: A case where I say it's a good thing Nash Bros is a little bit of a hike, otherwise I might visit too much for my health. We got here about 30 minutes before closing time. The restaurant was somewhat busy w/ dine-in and carry-out orders. I ordered their original Nashville Hot fried chicken sandwich made Xtra Hot based on their heat level offerings (which was the highest heat level) and my wife ordered their Honey Butter fried chicken sandwich with mild heat level. I also got their House Fries that were seasoned crinkle cut fries. We asked for cups of water but were told that they were out of cups, so either buy water or can of pop. They did not have fountain drinks. The food came out shortly. My etra hot sandwich tray was tagged as 'Hot' w/ three symbols. I asked them if that meant the sandwich was just 'Hot' and not 'Xtra Hot' and I was told that if I ordered extra hot then it meant it was extra hot. My sandwich was really delicious. The flavor was good and the texture was nice. The Xtra Hot flavor was not overwhelming but also it did not seem like the extra hot they said I should be mindful of because it was going to be very spicy. My sandwich was decently crunchy and the pickles and coleslaw had a tad bit of sweetness that went well with the heat of the fried chicken. The Brioche bun was well toasted. The fried chicken patty was decent in size. The Honey Butter fried chicken was a major letdown. It's a sandwich in Brioche bun w/ fried chicken and only spicy honey butter (no pickles or slaw). The bun and the fried chicken were drenched in melted butter but there was no taste of sweet heat or just sweet honey. The fried chicken patty didn't have any flavor either. We mentioned it to the staff members and they apologized for the way it turned out for us. The crinkle cut fries were okay. They were soft and unevenly seasoned. The seasoning was decent in taste. Overall, we had a decent experience. The service was okay. My original Nashville hot chicken was delicious but the Honey Butter chicken sandwich was anything but delicious. The restaurant aesthetics were decent. They have a live band performance area. It's a nice, friendly restaurant with a decent menu variety. We weren't wowed by the food but I would say that the original Nashville Hot fried chicken sandwich was worth trying.
