A solid four in my book! I have been to Flix a couple of times and have had similar experiences every time. The purchasing of tickets is easy peasy. The wait staff is kind, informative, and discreet during the film. The selection of beers, ciders, and food is great! I deduct one star for cleanliness. The tables and the backsplash in front of your seat need a GOOD wipe down. It's a bit unappetizing when you are having a little dinner with your movie and then see leftovers from previous movie-goers. Yikes! From here on out, I'm probably *exclusively* seeing movies here. Not only is this convenient to where I live, but it's new(er), clean and a great experience. I reserved tickets online for Beauty and the Beast and selected exact seats - easy peasy. Just walk straight into the theater once you get there. A waiter greeted us quickly and explained the low down. We ordered about 20 minutes before the previews started and had our food as the lights were going down. I got the mushroom sausage pizza (personal size) which was good. Better than I expected, but not "Wow! Best pizza ever." Service was friendly and prompt. If you need something during the movie, you write down on a pad what you want and hit the button - their "silent ordering" system. Honestly, most people had their food by the start of the movie so there wasn't a lot of in and out commotion by the servers during the film. Periodically, they walk by and grab empty glasses and plates. The bill comes 45 minutes before the film ends. The only thing I didn't like is that I couldn't finish my whole pizza in one sitting, but it wasn't going to be worth boxing up 2 hours later...so don't over order unless you want to waste food. Another tip: pick an "easy glider table seat" instead of "tablet arm seat" if you can, especially if you plan to eat a full meal. During my first visit, I geeked out over how Flix Brewhouse engineered its movie theater/restaurant/brewery and features. I had not been to a movie-restaurant for almost 15 years. At that time, you basically sat at regular tables awkwardly placed in a theater, with disruptive co-moviegoers & servers and sub-par food. Flix is a major upgrade from that experience, with: 1) a call button system to request your servers when needed; 2) a little built-in table pocket for your menu; 3) subtle lighting so you don't spill; 4) retractable tables and comfy, generously-sized seats; 5) decent menu, mostly consisting of stereotypical brewpub food and a few odd items (poke? yes please); 6) ninja waiters, who disappear empty glasses & plates like magic; 7) cutting off late arrivals and taking orders by paper after the movie starts, to cut down on chatter; 8) the pre-show screenings are themed clips from old movies, instead of annoying commercials or sponsored content; 9) Delicious BEER! Brewed on site. The only negatives are annoying co-movie watchers climbing over you every 15 minutes to use the restroom...and maybe a less-than-creative food menu. I enjoyed my Mario lime gose and appreciated the wide range of beer styles. Flix's beer is legit, although I was disappointed that I did not see the more unique flavors I've sampled at local beer fests (i.e. no chocostout w. cumin, curry, and lime leaves). read more

Great place to see a movie. Clean, comfortable seats, etc. Just don't expect that they'll have the beer you want. They're "tapped out" of the beer I order about 70% of the time. Even my kids joke about it at this point. Today, however, they took it to new heights when they were out of all three beers that I wanted. Flix Brewhouse is a very cool place to catch a movie. I was very impressed with this dinner theater. I have never been to anything quite like it. They seem to take their beer brewing as seriously as they take their movie showing, the second you walk in you see the tremendous instruments in use brewing the beer. I'm not a beer fan, but I can respect the effort that they obviously put into it. We went on a Saturday afternoon to a sold out show. I was a little skeptical because I really don't like seeing movies in big crowds, but this ended up being pretty great. They allow you to enter the theater about a half hour before showtime. Each theater seat row is equipped with a personal table that you can pull towards you once the food you order arrives. The waiter or waitress approaches you in the first couple minutes after you arrive and explains how everything works there (if you've never been there before, which we hadn't). Basically, you order your food as you would at any other restaurant. They bring you out your food before the movie starts (if you get there and order early enough) and you pull your personal table forward to eat your meal. If you want to order anything further once the movie has started there is a pad of paper and a pen where your can write down what you want, and a button in front of you to signify to your server that you want to order something further. They also tell you that about 45 minutes before your movie ends your bill is delivered. It was a pretty organized operation and the servers we had that day pulled it off perfectly. Also, while you're waiting for your movie to start they play some pretty entertaining stuff on the big screen. We were seeing a Disney movie so they were playing musical numbers from other Disney films, as well as some other random short clips from other movies. It was really cool. The food was overall really good too. We tried the fried pickles for an appetizer, they were above average. They had been fried just right and just so crispy and delicious. I ordered the Bacon and Blue Cheese burger, I thought it was pretty good. The bacon was a bit tough and the bun was a bit flaky but the burger itself and the blue cheese were spot on. Overall very tasty. Once the movie started, there was what you would expect chatter-wise throughout the theater, with it being a sold out kids movie and all. I thought it was going to be distracting with servers walking around during the whole movie but it really wasn't. Overall just a really cool and innovative theater experience. If I were in the area I would without a doubt check this place out again. If you live in this area you are lucky to have a place like this as one of your local theaters. read more

Flix has some really good beers of their own and also many guest taps. Our latest venture go Flix was specifically to have a couple beers and some food. It's not just for movie-goers! Having been there on a few occasions my husband was hungry for some pizza. He ordered the one with sausage, pepperoni & mushrooms and reported it was good. I had ordered the tuna poke before and wanted it again. So fresh and tasty, just try it already! This a also a great place to catch a movie! It's nice to be able to enjoy a couple of great beers and some good food. Once you come here you may decide to never go to another theater. Tyler was absolutely floored with this theater. We purchased our tickets online the morning of the movie and picked our seats online which gave us peace of mind that we wouldn't be straining our neck to see the film. You have to arrive on time to the movie in order to be admitted. The theater opens up 30 minutes prior to the movie which gives you time to be seated and to order drinks, food, or both. The waitstaff is wonderful and not disruptive at all. We ordered mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers as appetizers instead of a meal. Make sure that you are very specific on what you want. Our waiter didn't type our order in correctly and we were upcharged for something we explicitly said we didn't want. However he was quick to fix the problem and handled it extremely professionally! Came to meet a friend over a beer (no movie) because they usually have some good choices. Was hungry and ordered the loaded fries w brisket. Don't make my mistake. We Love Flix! Always a great experience here and the food is really top notch. It is nice to be able to have dinner and drinks and be waited on all at the same time. Seriously cheaper than a separate dinner and movie night and cuts down on the babysitter fee. The tuna poke is fantastic as is the Bavarian pretzel with hatch green chile queso. 2 solid starters. For the main event I jump around and have tried their specials mainly. Always a good idea to try those. My only negative is my kids love mac n cheese and $8 for a smell bowl is downright ridiculous. This was my first time trying out this place and it wasn't terrible. I feel like they should have definitely built a bigger parking lot for this place because we had to walk soooooo far. Oh well..we pressed on!! I ordered onion rings (amazing) and honey bbq wings (not a fan). I get that it's a movie theater and we aren't supposed to talk but following directions didn't work well either. I wrote on the notepad provided what I wanted to order next and she nnrvrr came back....only to drop off the bill. Okay so I'm completely spoiled. I've been going to a Warren Theater in Broken Arrow to see my movies. The places is the pinnacle experience for seeing a movie but I have to approach this with a clean slate. The good stuff: movies, food, drinks is a great concept. The food served was pretty tasty. I had Mac and cheese topped with buffalo chicken. The drinks were good and the movie was a Marvel movie so all good there. The meh: creating a tab for your visit is a little strange the first time. A fun place to go to when you want something different from the normal movie night date. Service is prompt and friendly. You arrive around a half hour before the movie starts so you have a chance to look at the menu and order beforehand. Most of the food is pretty good and I like their cocktails. Of course they offer quite a few beers, their own and local brews. They also have brunch on Saturdays and Sundays until 1:30 pm. Beware of sitting front row in the smaller theatres (1, 2, 3 i believe) as you will crane your neck, but otherwise there's generally not a bad seat in the house. Best place for a movie and food/beverage service! This is our favorite cinema in the area for the following reasons: 1. They serve beer, craft brewed as well as bottled, and wine. 2. The food they serve is yummy - especially their salads, pita, pizzas and french fries (don't forget the delicious peppered gravy to dip your fries in!) 3. Once the movie starts, no last-minute stragglers are allowed. 4. They clearly communicate a '2 strikes and you're out' policy for disruptive moviegoers. 5. Seating is mostly comfortable given the 'slide towards you' table tops in the larger theaters; only thing missing for me as a 5' 4" person is somewhere to rest my feet; the chairs just aren't ergonomically correct for my size. Btw, they offer smaller theaters, but we choose not to see movies offered in those spaces because we don't care for the desk-like chairs and awkwardly-positioned service buttons (i.e., your elbows are constantly hitting the service button by accident). As much as I love Flix, I can't give five stars due to the fact that, lately, I've noticed a lack of attention to housekeeping, both in the ladies' room as well as the theaters -- see photos of the dirty, sticky underneath areas of the sliding table tops. I love Flix. In my personal opinion there is nothing better than enjoying a dinner and a movie. Most of the times I visit there is always a crowd. I would suggest purchasing your tickets ahead of time to ensure you have a good seat. The food is always hot and tasty. There are so many options it difficult to decide just what you want to try. First time here last night. Have been wanting to come here for a while but this was our first time giving this a try. Overall, we enjoyed the experience. We bought our tickets on line and it was pretty simple and easy. We arrived a little early and waited in the lobby area and checked out the menu and what was on tap. Once it was time to go in, they made an announcement and we headed to our theater. Once inside, they helped us find our seats. It took us a few seconds to figure out where the menu was located and our waitress came pretty quickly to take our orders. Our food came out pretty quickly so we were able to eat during the previews but I noticed others seemed to take a bit longer to get their food. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was pretty good. The fries that came with it were good and hot. The chairs were comfortable and plenty of leg room. The only problem would have been if there wasn't an open seat next to us. Having my winter coat I was able to set it on the seat next to me, otherwise, I wouldn't have had a place to put it. I hate having to sit with my coat in my seat. Our waitress came by twice, once to clear our empty plates and then with 45 minutes left or so with our check. Overall, not a bad price for the experience. Will certainly come again. read more

If this experience has been my first experience at Flix, I probably would not go again. The four of us had about 45 minutes prior to our show starting so we went to the bar. We had a grumpy, inattentive bartender. We had asked for two separate checks and ended up getting one large check. Luckily, the new bartender did his best to break the bill apart. The prices were outrageous for what we got. $4.50 for a bag of M&Ms, $4.25 for a diet drink, nine dollars for a so-so glass of wine. Because we arrived late and prior to a new show, the only four seats together were in the front row. We were told in advance that if these seats were too uncomfortable we could get a refund. Front row seats definitely were unfavorable and our refund was processed with a smile. So if you choose to go, I would like to suggest that you arrive early enough to choose better seats for your party and possibly bring your own candy! Used my birthday reward and went to see a movie. It was nice. I went late afternoon on a Friday and it wasn't too crowded. I purposely went hungry so I could order a beer, the Flix Ale, and a cheeseburger with fries. While a little pricey it did taste good. Flix is our favorite movie theater without a doubt. Several theaters these days serve food or alcohol, but few serve GOOD food and GREAT alcohol. Flix accomplishes both. And the seats are super comfortable! Their bacon blue burger is our favorite and the French fries are always cooked perfectly. My favorite go to beer is the Lupulus IPA, but they often have special limited time taps I enjoy trying. The Flix special events are always wonderful and I have attended many. Such a fun experience! I've been to other dine-in movie theaters but never one that also doubles as a Brewhouse. When you first arrive, you immediately see the bar, which has a great selection of different beers, ciders, and others drinks including a seasonal offering. You can hangout and try a few drinks for a bit while waiting for the screens above the bar to indicate that seating has started for your movie. It's best to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your movie so that you can place your order and have it soon after the film begins. There are assigned seats in the theater and the tabletop in front of each seat pulls out towards, making it a lot easier to enjoy your food. A server comes to take your order and can be reached for any additional needs throughout the movie by pushing the button above your tabletop. They have a strict no talking policy, so they provide each seat with a notepad to request what you need during the show. My waiter made a few menu suggestions, which led me to order the Brewhouse Burger during my visit. This burger is served on a Hawaiian Bun (YUM) and came with all the toppings and a remoulade, which I requested on the side. You also get fries and a pickle. The entire meal was great and worth the price. The service was great as well, making for an overall fantastic first visit. I can't wait to visit again for brunch! read more

Glad to see a trendy new place in Carmel. With our schedules, dinner combined with a movie is a lot more realistic than in a sequence. The true star is the lineup of the home brews (can see the tanks as you come in). The quality and variety are impressive - about six mainstays plus as many seasonal (Shandy - a nice summer treat). The setup is new and cozy - comfy seats with swivel dining desks, plenty of room to get in and out without disturbing your neighbors. Front row, as in any theater, is really too close to the screen. Advice - buy your tickets online well in advance to avoid this dilemma. Food is last in review for a reason - hot and fresh, but unimaginative. Just your standard fried bar fare. A couple of salads and hummus as an appetizer may be better than the fish and chips and the burger we ordered. If Studio Movie Grill and Flix Brewhouse were brothers, SMG would be the one that got held back a grade in school, had to study for the GED and years later became the manager of a local fast food restaurant, all the while watching his brother Flix excel in academics and sports, graduate with the highest honors and become the CEO of some major corporation. Does that paint an appropriate picture for you? To sum it up, Flix Brewhouse is everything SMG wishes it could be. I love the fact that you select your seat at Flix, which you can do far in advance. This means you never have to worry about showing up last minute because your seats will be ready and waiting for your buns to warm them. This also means that if you show up early, you have plenty of time to enjoy a brew at the bar before showtime. Speaking of warm buns, these seats are pretty dang comfortable! Worried about the space in between your body and the table in front of you? Have no fear - that tray slides forward meaning you don't have to! I haven't tried any of the entrees Flix offers, but I can say that their snacks really hit the spot; you can tell items like spinach dip and hummus are actually prepared in-house and not coming from some unmarked plastic tub. By the way, a large bag of buttery popcorn? $5. That's right! The years of spending $137 for two movie tickets and a bucket of popcorn are over! I can't make an educated comment on the quality of the in-house beer, but having a boyfriend that head's up Indy's local beer group who loves coming on Mondays for pint night really says something. The service is both friendly and stealthy. Peruse the menu and order with your server before the movie, or order later by writing your selections down on the provided pad and press the call button. A few short minutes later, someone will breeze by to get your order to the kitchen. While I haven't quite figured out how the queue works (some more involved orders coming out before others), I would say generally the amount of time it takes from order to delivery is decent based on the quality and general crowd. It's leather seating, comfy bucket style seats, path lighting and spacious foot rest. There's a button that you can press to call your server. The tray tables in your seat glides easily for your food. They offer a kids menu and milkshakes. Their fried ice cream is the best. Don't skip on their theater candies and gourmet popcorn. They show skits prior to the actual movie. They're usually hilarious and sometimes better than the actual movie. They also offer parties for team building events and birthdays. read more

My new favorite theater in town. The obvious comparison will come with Studio Movie Grill but based on my experiences Flix is the winner. Ambiance/setting - when you walk in to Flix you are greeted with a large open room with a bar and tables in the back half and waiting space in the from. There are also lots of glass walls so you can see all of the brewing equipment when you walk in. Also once you're in the actual theater the seats are extremely comfortable and the trays to set your food on roll out from in front of you so you can place it exactly where you need it. Beers - I'm not a beer fan but my wife loves the Choco stout. They have 5-10 of there own beers with stuff from other local breweries on tap. Food - the food has been very solid so far. Not high end but overall better than I would have expected. The best thing I've had so far was the Bacon and Blue burger. I've also had the spicy fried pickles(just a little hear but good), supreme pizza(reminded us no Arnis), fajita tacos(solid), Mac and cheese with grilled chicken(really good but just a slight touch dry for my tastes), and meatloaf sandwich(not horrible but pretty bland and easily my least favorite thing so far). We have also had a couple desserts which were the bourbon pecan pie(good but nothing special) and the banana bread pudding which was outstanding. Service - we had some hiccups the first two times we went(both within six days of opening) but I think that is to be expected at any new business. On my most recent visit we didn't have any issues and I didn't notice anyone else having any either. All in all if Flix is near by definitely give it a shot and you may have a new favorite theater. read more

Attending a 7pm show on a Saturday evening. We were in our seats at approximately 6:45 and ordered around 6:55. After watching food get delivered to the rest of the patrons in theater 8 over the next hour, we finally realized our food wasn't coming. We hit the call button for the server, who finally showed up to our seat around 8:15....1 hour and 15 minutes into our movie and 30 minutes remaining the server arrives and says "oh, let me go check." We told her not to worry about it as everyone else in our group had already been done eating for some time and were reviving their checks. After the movie was over, I asked to speak to a manager at one of the server stands, which the first person I approached happened to be a manager. I stated I needed to speak to a manager and he told me "hang on, I'll be with you in a second." Sure, I'll keep waiting, what's the difference at this point? I expressed my concern, and he was apologetic, offered passes, which I declined. My goal was not to obtain anything for free. We love Flix, but since their re-opening after COVID the service has been TERRIBLE. It is still a great place to catch a movie, but do not expect good service, or any service really.
