They serve breakfast, pastries, coffee and tea (hot/cold) drinks. Their coffee bar is centrally positioned that offers a 360 degree view of the lobby. Seats were very comfortable with a relaxing atmosphere. I ordered an Iced Coffee ($3.27). And it was simple in taste and in appearance but refreshing nonetheless. Service was spot on. Staff was affable and competent. Prices are fair. Offers free wifi and street parking. What captivating for me was their interior design because it kinda reflected that of your own living room with flat screen tv, bookshelves, bar stool, love chair, sofa and a coffee table. Overall, I had a nice experience and somewhat enjoyed my iced coffee; I really like their chill living room vibe. I still recommend this coffee shop.

But he never actually asked my name and info, and I've still never received any points since, despite having ordered here about twice a week for the past several weeks. It's not a deal breaker but it's strange.

But she said we could get a free refill. Since I wanted to take advantage of the refill I went inside to inquire but the order counter had gotten extremely busy. So I asked one of the bus/wait staff outside if they could grab my refill. He directed me inside and he commented how busy they were but I said I didn't want to wait in the huge line simply for a refill, so he offered to meet me inside to get the refill. Eventually I did receive the refill and we left. Overall, for the price of the food I felt the service was very average bordering on subpar, and the food was meh for the price. I don't blame the staff as they all seemed to be working very hard, but perhaps they were understaffed which would be more of a management issue. We basically bussed a couple tables on our own and waited what eventually amounted to 20-25 minutes for an ice tea/lemonade. I pre-tipped when I bought the food, which I kind of regretted but also felt bad that the employees were understaffed so I likely would have left a tip anyways. I don't plan to go back anytime soon. Wish the food and service were better

Horrible customer experience - I used to really like this place due to the good quality of the sandwiches and the coffee and would recommend it to colleagues. A friendly gentleman used to work there, but the service has changed for the worse. Today I visited float as it is close to my work at Caltech - I walked in and said that I am looking for a smaller sandwich and wanted to ask about their bagels, but the young woman at the counter interrupted me, told me abruptly that they do not have small sandwiches and shrugged. When she saw that I was visibly surprised by her reply she continued, however, in the same unfriendly manner. It's a real pity that the quality of the food is no longer matched by the service, and I won't visit that place anymore. read more

First time at Float. We ordered the green tuna and picnic sandwiches. The bread was obviously 2+ days old because they actually scooped out the middle, to not show its age. The turkey sandwich was very bland. The tuna was tasty, but not enough to look past the old bread. And the fact that it took over 20 minutes to get the sandwiches was especially disappointing (not busy mind you), after tasting the lack of quality and originality. The coffee (had a vanilla latte) was delicious. Also ordered a chocolate chip cookie, but got back home and they forgot to put in the bag. I'm sure it would have been good though. Will not be back. Many other sandwich places in Pasadena that actually have fresh bread and unique/delicious sandwiches. read more

"We hired Float - Hollywood to cater our son's graduation - lunch party, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park! They handled everything from delivery to setup--including tables, tablecloths, and serving bowls, serving utensils--making the whole process completely stress-free. Unfortunately, the owner recently decided to increase prices to an absurd amount. You now pay over $24.00 for a salad, with no protein. Half a block away, across the street is Fogo Di Chao, where they offer a full, all-you-can-eat salad bar with soup, charcuterie, mashed potatoes, and cheese bread for just over $18. Even with tip that comes up less than the cost at Europane. I suspect that the business is failing, and the owner is trying a last-ditch effort to make a little money before going out of business for good, but I don't think trying to milk customers for money is a good plan. I will not be eating here anymore.
