Float Pasadena is a small little shop in this alleyway of shops, boutiques and coffee shops. There's a good variety of items in the shop such as pastries, drinks and coffee. I got a mix of Arnold Palmer and Lavender! Chandler helped me and was a lovely worker who provided exceptional service! I wanted a nice light drink to take on the road and she recommended two options. She was very knowledgeable on the menu and mentioned that this drink was a little tart but I personally like it! I definitely recommend to try out this small shop and I'll most likely be here again to try out the floats! There's a good amount of seating inside and outside! TIP: They do have a bathroom key and a little library in their store. they have about 15-20 seats within the shop to sit and work in the shop as well as outdoor seating! There's FREE parking for 90 minutes!

While waiting for your coffee at the place across the hall, I recommend you grab a quick bite. You won't be disappointed as the food at Float is super fresh and clean tasting. I had Pick-me-up Toast and it was delicious. The hard boiled egg tasted so fresh and eggy. The country bread as also super tasty. I also had The Picnic turkey and provolone sandwich and it is one of the best turkey sandwiches I have had recently. Everything fresh and clean. The counterservice is super friendly and while I was waiting, I was even able to snag a small table inside. Great job Float.

    Welcome to Float Pasadena.

Not all who wonder are lost. Some are just looking for coffee. Float Pasadena is a small specialty coffee and tea shop in the eclectic setting of the Burlington Arcade. It's located on South Lake avenue in Pasadena. It offers lattes, lunch, sandwiches, salads, bagels, catering and gift cards. Similarly, they have cold bottled drinks like Root beers. Its interior layout is quite small with limited seats and a relax static stability. Menu list has all of your basic coffee, teas and lattes. I had a Mocha Latte (H); it was perfect. Staff was competent and professional. Service was satisfactory. Prices are competitive. Collectively, I enjoyed my latte and order experience. I recommend this coffee shop.

So I found this place on accident because I was walking to Walgreens and happened to come across the arcade and thought I'd go and check it out and see if there was any coffee here. There was so I wandered into flow and saw that they had a peach Matcha special but sadly they were out of Matcha. The barista told me though that I could still get a peach latte so I went with that and it was really delicious and it was perfect because it was a really hot day in Pasadena so this really made my walk so much better. It's such a cute little shop and a cute area of town and I definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for a really good iced latte.

I used to love their sandwich, especially the turkey cheese sandwich, it was perfectly crafted!! Everything just melts together with the bread; I get it like 3,4 times a week. The cheese and turkey perfectly lined up with the sandwich and it was easy to bite into, perfect on the go sandwich and you could eat it with one hand and not make a mess, the bread has very little crumbs that fall out. They have changed their bread recently, and the bread taste like cornbread to me, it's not as soft (some people might like it harder) but it's just too hard and the bread often is burned. It doesn't melt together with the stuffing inside anymore.. anyway, I'm just disappointed, i wish they at least keep the other bread as an option....

We came back to try their sandwiches and I must say, it was delicious! I had the turkey melt and my husband had the float Italian. The bread was not what I was precieving! It looked hard and crispy but it was far from that! Their bread is like an artisan type of bread. For me, I loved how soft it was, but I was hoping for a more crispy exterior. Regardless, we loved the sandwich and chips that we ordered! The service was great, and the environment is still casual and charming. We will be back!

Tried the chipotle chicken & chicken pesto! The lettuce in the chipotle chicken taste really fresh & crunchy but I generally like chicken pesto more. Both were decent sandwiches & price wasn't bad too! It ranges from about $11-15 for their sandwiches. It was a cute & quiet place for a late breakfast

    Matcha Latte
    Winnie L.

Matcha latte: 1/5. The matcha had a dull green color and upon the first sip there there was exactly no matcha flavor at all. It tasted 100% of milk. Mine also was a bit grainy and it wasn't mixed well enough. This was definitely not worth $6. As for service, I did have to wait for about 5 minutes before I was able to get my order in which was no problem. After I ordered, service was friendly and my drink came out within a few minutes. Not much seating options as they only have a small counter seating area on the right facing the glass. Parking: You can park at the shopper's lane lot. It's 90 minutes for free. And parking there is free on Sundays!

I intended to fall in line for the popular coffee shop across the way but decided, why not try something new! I'm so glad I did because the Chipotle Bacon Club sandwich & Cold Brew here did not disappoint. Staff were warm & welcoming as well. Interior is small with limited seating indoors however, there is a few tables just outside in the hall. I also love that they have a little display of gift items like candles and coasters if you'd like to treat a loved one or yourself to something nice. Highly recommend!

The breakfast bagel was really nice and the service was great. It's a small shop but there is a ton of seating outside. I would definitely come back to try a sandwich from their lunch menu, they looked really good!

Cool little coffee, candy, breakfast spot in a very cool alleyway oddly named arcade with no games in sight. There is another coffee spot in this alleyway with a long line called Mandarin, but it's honestly okay. Float is on par with less wait, and real food. I usually get the affogado with comes with a scoop of Fosselmans ice cream. I think they used to come with two, but the porportions are good with one. We got a few sandwiches-- lox bagel, bahn mi pastrami, and roast beef. Wish the bahn mi had more Vietnamese flavors such as the radish and cilantro. My husband is obssessed with the roast beef, though. He loves the vinegary sauce.

Float was such a fun experience. I saw it online when looking for things to do in Pasadena. My boyfriend ordered a float and they were out of vanilla ice cream so he went with strawberry in orange soda. It was pretty good! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We went on a Monday around 10 am so it wasn't overly busy. I loved that they also had mugs, candles, and chocolates to purchase. Definitely a location I would return to if I am ever in the area again!

    So much ice..

Does the shop offer gluten-free bread for the sandwiches?

Do they have any vegan options?

I am sure about the vegetarian options but not vegan. Best to contact them direct.

Do you guys have vegan ice cream for floats?

Currently, we have a sorbet that is dairy free but not vegan. We will definitely introduce vegan ice cream soon.

Hi did you guys change your chicken in the pesto chicken sandwich?

Hi Lerer, we are still using the same chicken breast but we are keeping it in one piece instead of slicing it. I hope you like it!

Where did the Dutch Crust bread go? I just got my sandwich and its on a Cibatta. I hope it's a temporary set back.

I was absolutely blown away with what we picked, they nail the nuanced flavors--very rich and creamy and not too heavy on the stomach, more so refreshing. I would encourage anyone not to be afraid to pick something they've never had and sample flavors you have no clue about, they went above and beyond to sample the flavors as they would be if we ordered them, including the toppings. My friend was absolutely blown away and texted his wife that he needs to bring her here, which I myself definitely plan on returning as well. The flavors are middle eastern inspired and the details are all listed. My wife and I sampled 2 flavors and we both enjoyed our selections. The flavors are memorable. We happily decided on the Sesame Halve (vegan) & Pistachio Konafa with Chocolate Shell (+$1.00) for myself. The presentation is one of a kind! The topping with the tiny little rose is a nice aesthetic and definitely their trademark. The location offers retro and colorful style seating for 10+ customers if I had to guess . Came here for the souffle pancakes and they didn't disappoint!…read more My party of 3 stopped by Saturday afternoon 2:30 pm and it wasn't crowded. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We chose outdoor since it was such a nice day out. They have all of their desserts on display in the case, so you can peruse the options and see what looks good. So many of the desserts looked good, like the matcha yuzu chiffon crepe cake or the rose and lychee crepe cake. We ordered via the kiosk and got the mango sunshine souffle pancake ($16.50) and well as a couple drinks. My drink was the white peach lemon jasmine bliss ($6.25), with 50% sweetness and less ice. Even though there are signs everywhere saying that it takes 15-20 minutes for the souffle pancakes to be cooked, ours came out super quickly, in 5 minutes or so. We got it with the sauce on the side, but I regret doing that as I saw others getting it with the sauce on top and it was beautiful. The pancake was super fluffy and a bit eggy as well. We all really enjoyed it with the mango sauce. I made the mistake of eating the pancake first before trying a sip of my tea. The pancake was pretty sweet, so I could barely taste my drink, but I think it was good? I could taste a bit of the lemon but definitely not the white peach, which is a lighter flavor. I got a slice of their Hokkaido cheese cake roll for $7 to go and had it the next day. It was okay but definitely a bit pricy for what you get. I'd love to come back to try their other desserts and pancakes!

On our most recent visit - admittedly our first in a while - I was surprised that the flavors mostly seemed like repeats from a long time ago. Of course, you want to feature what is most popular, but I remember previously seeing things that were truly one of a kind, even for them. (Out of curiosity, I visited their website and the seasonal flavor blog hasn't been updated since spring 2021). None of this is a deal-breaker, but the feeling of "tiredness" permeated my interaction with the staff, too. There was no joy behind the counter, which I found odd for ice cream that is supposedly about the love of travel. When I tried to order a scoop of one flavor, I was told that I couldn't have it because there wasn't enough left for a full scoop. When I asked if I could have the half scoop that remained and just combine it with another flavor (trying to solve the problem for them), I was told that they aren't allowed to do half and half splits anymore. Fortunately, another employee showed up at that very moment with a fresh full tub of that flavor, but it still struck me as odd. They were also out of cones because of another problem. I am giving them four stars because the ice cream is still great and definitely worth a try if you've never had it, but I hope they can maintain their spark and magic as they continue to expand.
