I personally had the Hazelnut Iced Latte and my boyfriend ordered the Cold Brew Latte. He absolutely loved his drink and guzzled it down within 10 minutes of leaving Float! This was my first time at float and honestly service is mediocre, the store was not really busy and still the cashier was on his phone not even paying attention when I was ordering. The guy in the back seemed to be having a horrific day as he was throwing everything, the oven door, the fridge's door, the bread. Ambience is alright, it's just that this people (employees) energy makes everything look awkward. First time here this morning and service was terrible and food was nothing great. As a paying customer I felt like I was an inconvenience to their day. I asked for the breakfast bagel sandwich and asked if it was toasted and the cashier said yes. When I opened the bag, it clearly wasn't toasted. I get that things happen, but when I went up and asked if they could toast it and they acted like I was asking for something ridiculous. While I was waiting, they were all snickering in the back. It was a very uncomfortable experience. Even after it was toasted the sandwich was mediocre. I would've come back for the coffee but I won't now because of the employees - they need an entirely new staff. You're losing potential customers because of them. As much as I love this place but I had a disappointing experience. Their posted hours indicate they close at 5 PM, so I arrived at 4:30 PM, expecting to have a sandwich. However, I was informed that the kitchen was already closed. This was quite frustrating as there was no prior indication that the kitchen would close early. Service was quick. After I placed my order at the front, I used a key attached to a big metal spoon and let myself in the restroom that was across the hall. By the time I was back, my coffee was ready. The cold brew didn't taste watered down. In fact, the drink was flavorful. I also wasn't disappointed with the sandwich because the harvest vegetarian was chef's kiss. See picture for exhibit A. The layout of Float seems thoughtful. I drove through town while in a commute and had to charge my car in that parking lot. I drifted off to look for a restroom and found this cool area where this spot was located. I was starving, thirsty, and needed to use the restroom. I asked for the restroom key and some one else was using it. The key was never returned during my entire wait time at shop. I ordered an ice tea and the Pastrami Banhi sandwich. I never used the restroom bc the missing key was never found. Once to my car, I opened the sandwich up and was immediately disappointed. The pastrami was dried out and did not look appetizing. There was no cilantro ( which I love) and the entire sandwich was dry. Float Pas is such a good cafe in the nook of the Burlington Arcade! Got their pesto chicken sandwich with lemon poppy seed muffin, which was pleasantly not too sweet or overly lemony. Also had the Mi Caprise Sandwich with croissant, which tasted very fresh. Interior has very limited seating but there are plenty of outdoor seats! Parking is free for 90min and there is wifi. I haven't studied here but I saw some people doing some stuff and feel that the vibe is good for working :) They have water for dogs if anyones curious about that, and there is a plant store neighboring Float! 5/5 stars read more

Interesting how the owner responded to my review. Not only did I not get calls from the business but she claims they did call... interesting. Way to go with the sarcasm, after all the owner was not the one that got the missing items that she claims they did not miss even though I have photos proving otherwise, so that's sad that she's claiming this if she wasn't there to see what really happened. And also, shame on you for your customer service. I have encountered better customer service, never at such a negative level as this owner has responded so please take this into account whenever you deal with this business and they miss any items in your order. read more

This place is open! Not sure if it's just my Yelp account but it says this place is closed. It's not! Come check this place out. It's my second time here and I've gotten a couple of different items. I've tried the iced matcha latte (with 2% milk) and iced London fog latte (with oat milk $1 extra). I enjoyed both very much and I think the London fog might be my new favorite drink. For food - I've had the breakfast bagel and the chipotle bacon club. I really enjoyed the breakfast bagel because anything with an everything bagel is delicious. I thought the chipotle bacon club was okay - it could have used a bit more of the homemade cilantro lime mayo because I felt my sandwich was a bit dry. Otherwise still a yummy sandwich. You can park in the back for free for a limited time or park on the street but have to pay the meter. The first time I came here I got an iced chai and omgoodness - it hit the spot! It's very hard to get a good chai but they did it. Very cute little spot too... However, the second time , heck no! Nothing but milk and that's unfortunate. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but maybe if the workers focused more in making the drink rather then getting back to their conversation with the cook they would've known to not over do it on the milk. They offer really different types of sodas, for example Red Birch Tree soda, butterscotch soda, apple soda, cream soda & more. Everything about our experience with Float was flawless, from the first inquiry for pricing to the event execution. Float's team arrived 45 minutes before the event to set up. They created delicious on-demand lattes, cappucinos, mochas and chai lattes, which included different options for milks and syrups. All of our guests LOVED the experience! This place is pretty mediocre. I order the avocado toast this morning with a cold brew latte. The coffee wasn't extravagant by any means. It tasted fine, prob rate it a little bit lower than a Starbucks equivalent. The avocado toast wasn't good. It came with eggs and prosciutto on top it. The prosciutto has absolutely no taste to it. The toast was supposed to be sourdough but tasted and looked like a piece of wonder bread. Not worth $10 at all. This place looks like it specializes more in sweet ice cream desserts and affogato's. I may consider coming back to try one of those but will not be purchasing a breakfast item from here again. read more

We got the BLT and the pastrami banh mi for takeout on a Sunday during lunch. Everything was ready as soon as we walked in. Both sandwiches were the bomb. First, they use Dutch Crunch bread, which is common in NorCal but incredibly rare in LA. Second, their ratios were spot-on. Lots of meat without being too much. Fresh veggies. Spreads that played a supporting role (rather than overwhelming the entire sandwich). Will definitely be back. read more

I came here for a coffee and lunch, and just ok summs um this place nicely. I ordered an iced latte, then came back for a sandwich at lunchtime when working nearby. The latte was average at best, and for $4.50 I expect a little more. It tasted remarkably like a plain iced coffee from McDonald's (which is about $2.50), and just didn't have a smooth blend of I've, milk and esspresso. I also had the chicken club sandwich, which was good, with freshly cooked bacon, tender chocken breast and soft bread, however it took them 25 minutes to make it, which is just too long for a simple sandwich. The ice cream floats look good(may return for one of those sometimes) , and the ambiance in the arcade is pretty cool for just sitting to chill or read a book, I just wish the coffee was better and they weren't quite so slow. read more

I stopped going to Float about a year and a half ago because the once very good sandwiches had really gone downhill. The tuna used to be one of my favorites! So today my husband and I decided to try it again. Unfortunately, that was a mistake. The sandwich was inedible. The bread was so stale and the cilantro was mostly rotten (not to mention primarily long stems). You just can't charge $11 for a sandwich and have these problems. I am not sure what has changed, but it has been going on a long time, so it is not pandemic related. Perhaps vendor or management changes? Who knows, but it has not been for the better. read more

i've been trying to eat here for years but never catch them when they're open. I went today and ordered the rosemary pastrami and lox bagel. the pastrami was good but the meat was kind of tough, and the slaw has too much mayo in it. overall still a solid sandwich. then we moved on to the Lox and it was so deeply disappointing I almost want to go back tomorrow and ask for my money back. read more

situated in a very cute place, the burlington arcade, this is a nice place to chill and sit by the window and people watch. had a pesto chicken sandwich here, but wasn't really impressed by it. the bread is advertised as "dutch crunch" but wasn't really that. i've been all around the bay area, which is where this type of bread comes from, and it's usually crisp on top with a rice based dough crust. the bread was not like that here. the sandwich filling was pretty decent though, but lacked a striking flavor. it was aight. the bread tasted somewhat stale. i think there are better places for sandwiches in pasadena... read more

I came here with my mom to celebrate mother's day. This quaint little spot in Pasadena was so cute and quiet! It's located at the edge of the shop walkway. The inside doesn't have a seating area but that doesn't matter at all since there is seating right outside! The owner was the one who made us our lattes and was kind enough to make a specially requested sandwich.
