I was looking for a cocktail bar with outdoor space to safely celebrate my birthday. Elise went above and beyond, not only to reserve the two fire pits outside, but she ended up reserving the entire outdoor patio just for my party. Granted, this was on the condition we would not receive waiter service and would have to go in to order at the bar- but having an entire private patio to ourselves without having to pay a minimum was a steal, especially on a Saturday night. The bar seemed understaffed and there was a long line to order drinks, but my friends and I all had a great time overall and loved the outdoor vibe. The cocktails were fantastic as well! **Disclaimer** review for floe their restaurant I was here for work and decided to get a bite to eat before some appointments. I ordered the steak chop salad without onion strings (due to an allergy) and the first time they brought it out with onion strings which I had to send back. When the second salad came out it looked like the steak was literally dog chew toys. I didn't send it back again because I was hungry but it was awful. If this steak was 12 bucks at a bar or something it would be different but it was $20 bucks. My server was great and that is why I am giving it 2 stars and not one. Service alone speaks for my rating. I came in today as a first time diner looking to wind down after a productive day. There was a live singer performing for the guests at the lounge, which was what drove me here. The ambience is relaxing and casual. Everyone I came into contact with was extremely keen on asking me whether they could be of any help. I was greeted everywhere I went, from first stepping into the building to scouring the registration area and finally when I found a table at the lounge itself. You are made to feel so welcome here and that is a direct indication of the hotel's high standards. My server, Jose, was courteous and patient. He gladly explained to me all the dishes on the menu I pointed to. I selected the steak salad as my choice of entree alongside a glass of iced tea. When the salad arrived, I was hopeful. Unfortunately, my hopefulness was met with disappointment after the initial bite. The lettuce was not cut and came in huge chunks, and the cherry (or should I say grape tomato?) on top was all the ranch dressing it was drenched in. I was so put off by the level of sodium that I couldn't muster another bite and contemplated taking it home. Jose came by to check on me and when I said it was just okay, he immediately suggested changing the dish no questions asked. I asked for the shrimp cocktail instead. The cocktail was kindly brought out after a couple minutes and I thought it was much better! My iced tea was constantly filled and I was checked on multiple times during my dining stay. Lovely area outside. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and it accommodated us well. Mostly, because it was pretty empty. It was hot out. The poor server seemed overwhelmed and the kitchen was super slow. We were about 20 in our party and he was alone out there. But, he was slowed down by the bar and kitchen. The food was a weird mix of eclectic and spicy though tasty. Very expensive drinks as expected. The hotel validates parking for 3 hours. We would have stayed later and continued to spend money but the price to park was prohibitive. We tried to find a manager to see if they would give us another hour but they were no where to be found. Worst food I've ever had at a hotel. Parfait says that it comes with berries -- I was served raisins. Huevos rancheros was unlike any I've had in the past. They used blue corn tortilla chips instead of corn tortillas, and the black beans were cold. Pancakes were tasteless, but the sausages that came with them were outright gross. This restaurant is a gem. I can't believe it's inside a hotel because it is so upscale and the food is more than incredible, as is the service. Jose, our server was perfectly attentive and helpful. He is a genuinely pleasant person. He made the experience even better. The food is impeccable. We had a couple starters, the deviled eggs topped with crab and the Cajun popcorn chicken. The eggs aren't my thing but my husband loooved them. The popcorn chicken was very good, light and crispy and the Cajun sauce was perfect. I could have eaten an entire bowl of the crispy kale accompaniment on its own. For entrees, we had scallops, so tender with a perfect hard sear, served on a pea purée with roasted cauliflower and corn that was equally good; and a burger that was out of control delicious, topped with cheese and a fried egg, husband ordered a side of bang bang sauce (?) for it, but it was unnecessary. That burger is unforgettable. Drinks were great, our water stayed refilled, and to top it off, chocolate lava cake! This bar is right inside the Marriott. Love how it's very trendy, bright and upscale looking. Definitely try to get here during happy hour, it's worth it. Bartenders are super friendly and great but the bar fills up fast. If you end up with a table on the outside service can take a while. During the summer take advantage to the outdoor seating overlooking the pool. Very posh! Food: I've tried quite a few things on the menu and everything is great. LOVE the Portabello Fries! TIP: If you work at one of the surrounding Irvine buildings you get a discount, just mention in. ALSO, you need validation for free parking. The chips were nicely seasoned with a little spicy kick. These would be great with a drink at the bar or as a crunchy appetizer. Margarita Shrimp Flatbread is savory grilled flat bread topped with grilled shrimp, poblano crema and mozzarella, finished with a roasted corn relish featuring seasonally fresh corn from Tanka Farms, red and green peppers, and serrano chilies. The flavors worked really well together. The crust was just crispy enough. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. Infused Mango Martini combines ultimate vodka, mango schnapps, and fresh mango. This cocktail was strong, but had great mango flavor. I loved the large slice of mango artfully placed inside the glass! Crop Organic Cucumber Vodka Martini combines Crop Organic Cucumber Vodka and fresh cucumber. Dean and Frank would love this martini. It was very strong, yet refreshing from the cucumber. Spa meets Bar = Fun! Heirloom Caprese is a blend of fresh basil from their outdoor herb wall, colorful heirloom tomatoes from Tanaka farms -featuring the most vibrant varieties, Burrata Alla Panna from Di Stefano Farms in Pomona CA, and finished with a drizzle of olive oil and sprinkle of micro basil. The tomato had a freshly-picked-from-the-garden flavor and sweetened by the sun. The burrata was creamy and luscious. I would add a sprinkle of salt and pepper to brighten the flavor. Other than that, it was perfectly executed. Hydro-Boston Salad features hydro-Boston lettuce, fresh Fuji apple slices tossed with white balsamic vinaigrette and topped with apple cider pickle onions. Everything tasted farm fresh - crisp apples and lettuce and bright, sweet raspberries. The dressing was creamy and worked well with the salad components. Wildflower Honey Glaze Salmon is a skinless salmon filet that is grilled and glazed with a mixture of Wild Sage Honey from Santa Barbara, key lime juice, marmalade, and melted butter topped with Corn Relish made with seasonally fresh corn from Tanaka Farms Arugula, olive oil and lemon juice. The glaze was just sweet enough not to overpower the flavor of the buttery salmon. I would definitely order it again but cooked rare. The spinach and corn worked well with the salmon adding a green and sweet balance. Colorado Rack of Lamb is double cut lamb rack chop, French cut, seasoned and grilled to taste served with roasted beets and their house chimichurri. This is fantastic! I would definitely order this again, but cooked to rare. The chimichurri was authentic - herby and garlicky. Jumbo Lump Crab Cake is fresh sweet and crisp lump crab cakes finished with fresh Papaya & Maui onions. These were "more crab, less cake"! The salsa was fresh and worked well with the crab. This would also be great as a slider option on a brioche bun with a spicy Cajun aioli. S'mores with Godiva Chocolate Sauce is a roasted marshmallow sandwiched between two house made cookies and served with a smoky Godiva chocolate sauce. I loved the summer feel with the cookies shaped like 'rubba slippahs'! The smoky Godiva chocolate sauce is to die for! I had some extra left and sweetened my coffee with it. I know we are in SoCal but I felt a little bit of Aloha in this dessert! read more

FLOE Lounge is NOT large party friendly. Called and made a reservation for a girl's night out Meetup for 20 people. Asked for outside. They said each fire pit only holds 10 people, so they recommended reserving both. Sounds perfect. We arrive and only one is reserved. They only have two total. The other is occupied by a couple making out on a very awkward and public date. No reserved sign. The server graciously agreed to split our checks, but the manager came out 20 minutes later and said the best she would do is 4 ways. If we literally walked into the bar, they would have split it 20 ways, but since we were 10 feet away outside the door, she said it wasn't possible. I asked what she recommended, as if people didn't have cash, I wasn't expecting anyone to miraculously pay for 5 people and hope to god they get paid back. She had no solution and seemed severely confused by the whole situation. Which is fair, because she seemed young college aged at best. I ran over the entire night so far with her. So I had a reservation for 20 correct? Yes. Each fire pit only holds 10 correct? That's right. You called today to confirm my reservation for 20, right? We sure did! WHERE DID YOU EXPECT TO PUT THE OTHER 10??????? And now you expect us to figure out how to split a bill, that your staff member already agreed to do on our behalf. Awful customer service. Skip your ladies night out for the stress alone. It took over an hour to settle the bill from the time it was dropped. They do validate parking for up to 3 hours, but keep in mind by the time you settle, order (only drinks, until everyone arrives, their policy), get the drinks, order food, get the food, you hope to god they drop the check because it will take an hour to work with them to come up with a solution, as the manager had none, before your 3 hours are up and you owe the hotel $23 for parking. read more

Beautiful space and atmosphere!!! Came here to attend a networking event and really enjoyed the space, the hors d'oeuvres (pretty big size) and the drinks were STRONG! I don't drink a lot and my second drink, a mai tai, seriously got me buzzed lol I stayed in the outdoor patio the entire time and it was very comfortable. The music wasn't too loud and we could still talk without yelling at each other. They had comfy lounge seats with fire pits. The view, unfortunately, was of corporate Irvine buildings but still nice. I spoke to the parking attendant and he said this place was opened last November so pretty new. My only complaint is that my mai tai was overpriced at over $10 bit still had a great time. We got to the hotel at around 10pm, hungry and tired. So nice to see the restaurant in the hotel was open. Nicer to see how nice it is. Little three button buzzers in the center of the table to notify server of your needs. Didn't need the buzzer as the server was very attentive. Decent menu and the prices aren't bad. Wine selection was good but a little pricey. We both got the wedge salad covered with strips of steak. Perfect selection for a late night dinner. Very tasty. Very nice, relaxed atmosphere. Our waiter , the man with the glasses, claims we had cut off for the kitchen, 23:15, however, it's now 23:30 and my friend and I have witnessed 4 OTHER people ordering food. Hearing them snicker and hablando en español, ( talking in Spanish) about us "frescos" ( a derogatory name in Spanish for gays) then when we ordered food, mullet went in the kitchen and came out smirking. Checked in late and decided to eat in the hotel. The restaurant looked inviting with modern decor. We highly recommend starting with the Brussels sprouts. I ordered a lemon drop and hubby a margarita. Both were excellent!! My husband ordered the center strip steak and it was cooked to his order. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was very good. Our cocktails were so good we each ordered another but I changed mine to the lavender martini. It was outstanding! The service was spot on. The manager came by when we were first seated to see if we had any questions or if we wanted recommendations. The manager and server checked with us throughout our meal to make sure everything was ok. My husband and I both commented on how we couldn't believe this was a hotel restaurant. As far as hotel dining goes this is as good as it gets. It's excellent for drinks with friends, a date, or in my case dining with my husband and 6 year old son. We got to choose our seat (my son was bummed that the firepits on the patio were all taken) so we sat inside in a comfortable booth. We had delicious burgers and ice teas. Everything came out in a timely fashion. As we were ordering dessert our waitress informed us that a firepit was open if we wanted to enjoy dessert out there. Seriously great service. We never asked, she must have overheard my son earlier. Great service is anticipating the wants of your customers and we were treated like royalty. This Hotel is in heart of Irvine conveniently closed to 405 , 5 & 55 freeways which take you anywhere in Greater LA & Even San Diego county! The Lobby is huge and very modern with the bar, restaurant & huge patio attached that you can enjoy the amazing Southern California whether and have a glass wine or the beverage of your choice as well as food & breakfast. We stayed Saturday night here and check in early around 1pm and front desk staff where great to greet and welcome us warmly. Marllorit in front desk take good care of us and my guest and we where check in quickly , she arranged Our 3 rooms next to each other in the 12th floor. She explained all my questions guide us to the bar a cross the lobby for the glass wine for my guest. The rooms are very cleaned and bed was comfortable.
