Very Unprofessional and Misleading Experience My experience with FloodTech was extremely disappointing. Their team showed a lack of professionalism and accountability throughout the process. I also have concerns about the accuracy of their documentation -- some items were listed as removed when they were never packed out. In addition, work was done outside the agreed areas of my home, which caused unnecessary issues. Communication and follow-through were poor, and attempts to resolve concerns were ignored. I would not recommend this company -- proceed with caution and document every step if you decide to use them. read more

We had a roof leak, one side of our entire house experienced significant water and mold damage. FloodTech3 did amazing work at our home as an amazing one-stop-shop, and treated us like family. They were able to: 1. finish the major mold and water damage remediation problem; 2. repair the damage from the demolition and restore the house to its original condition, and do additional upgrade projects to improve our home; 3. we could trust them with the keys to our house and be away at work during the day while they did all this work. They are also able to provide amazing problem solving skills. Over the years, our house had numerous issues that we paid several companies hundreds of dollars to fix. Peter, from FloodTech3, took the time to walk through each of these issues and found the root cause of the problems so they could be solved once and for all. This problem solving left us with incredible peace of mind. They are definitely our new go-to company. Additionally, the sub-contractors that FloodTech brought in for our old carpeting with waterproof luxury vinyl flooring, refurbishing our kitchen with a new backsplash and sanded and repainted cabinets, a new sink and vanity in the bathroom, new lighting, retiled shower, shelving for better space management, repainted walls, and an expanded and rebuilt closet -- J Santos Inc (Jorge), the lead subcontractors, are an amazing crew who became a part of our family. I had a flood claim and FT3 did both the tear down and rebuild. Montie (sp?) did the teardown - he and his crew were excellent. They were able to arrive quickly (and on a weekend day, if I recall correctly), took a few measurements, and did the drywall flood cut that day. The rebuild work (drywall re-install and repaint, and re-fastening (via some type of adhesive) the strip separating the wood floor and the tiled kitchen floor also went well. A few weeks after the rebuild, however, the strip started coming undone again. Peter (I believe he's a re-build manager) sent a guy back out (no charge) and he re-applied a stronger adhesive and this seems to have fixed the problem. I'd use them again. read more

Worst experience ever! When they came in to dry out my floor from a dishwasher flood (that was on the FLOOR) they used a staple gun to staple plastic to all of my UPPER cabinet doors, trim to my pantry and wall. Ruining all my cabinet door. It's months later now and they still haven't been fixed. When they heard of the issue they subcontracted a contractor out to "fix" the doors and made them 100 times worse. This contractor wet sanded my hand painted doors and SPOT painted them using a roller! Now all the cabinet doors need to be replaced. Please don't use this company. What a headache. read more

The best! I had a leak from upstairs washing machine. Moss and his crew were at my house by noon that day. They removed the bad wet drywall and left some blowers and dehumidifiers for 3 days. 5 days later my house is back to normal!! read more

They don't even deserve 1 star. The billing was the most unprofessional I have ever seen. I'm quite surprised this business is still operating. Save yourself a lot of anguish (not showing up on time, not taking equipment away timely, the woman who calls re: billing - never has the right info and sent wrong estimates to our insurers --for 4 times the cost!). It is one huge hassle to deal with these people. There are many other water mitigation companies to choose from. Why settle for inferior service from this company? I looked at the company's response and that just confirms why you don't want to do business with them. I am not female, and I don't post slot of negative reviews. Not a great experience with using Flood Tech 3. We only used them as they were the preferred insurance company recommendation. From the beginning to the end of the project, communication was an issue. They were neither timely nor efficient. They did the job but it took a lot of phone calls and messages. They said they would be out to take care of our water damage and day 2 or 3 into the job they didn't show up to go to another "emergency" job. Probably just to get more insurance money and left our job unfinished. I also think they were trying to squeeze us for more money from where the insurance claim would end. Bottom line, did they do the job, Yes. Would I use them again if I had a preference, No. read more

Fast forward 3 months: A new marketing manager, Demetrius, called me this week to better understand my experience and to try to resolve the issue. It was too late for resolution, but he was very courteous and professional and treated me like a valued customer. He indicated he had been brought in to try to improve the customer experience and based on my short conversation, he just might be able to do it! I'm not changing my review, because that was my experience, but if you can deal with Demetrius, you may very well have a much better experience. read more

Flood Tech 3 was sent by my insurance company after we had a leak. They spent less than 30 minutes at my house. Took several pictures and informed me there was "nothing they could do". They then sent me a bill for $140.... That is what they charge for a "estimate" read more

Conscientious and quick. Had sewage backup in basement and FT3 (Ahmad) was on it. Very fast response and very helpful in assessing the damage and supporting remediation (2 industrial dehumidifiers and air scrubber.) They took the extra step after I requested they move some major appliances. Good work all around. read more

Recently helped to remediate some flooding damage in a condo unit that required taking up glued down hardwood floors and affected drywall. The owners and workers were extremely easy to work with and did the job quickly and cleanly. Would recommend them without hesitation. read more

The kitchen faucet was leaking and we were out of town. When we came back, we saw the damage and the leak which had gone down to our basement. I called Flood Tech 3 and they took care of the rest including working closely with my insurance to make sure everything was done properly. The team was professional and completed the job in a timely manner. Their manager Moss called me and stopped by after to make sure all the work was done to my satisfaction. He helped me understand what I should keep an eye on including a sump pump and water drainage near my house. I hope I never have issues like this ever but if I do I know who I am calling. read more

We experienced some major water damage inside our home. 2/3rds of one side of our house was destroyed. At the same time, we are going through a tough economical phase (prayerfully a phase). Flood Tech 3 showed up promptly and immediately began to assess the problems. They are very knowledgable, which added to the sense of security to us. My ill uncle had Flood Tech 3 pack up his belongings in VA. During that time, one of the Flood Tech 3 staff found my uncle's handgun (originally belonging to my grandfather) and asked if he could have it. My uncle said no. The belongings were shipped to TX, and stored. Unfortunately, my uncle passed a few months later, but mentioned several times he was concerned the gun may not have made it into the boxes. I personally unloaded each box after his death, and the gun was in fact missing. When I called Flood Tech 3, I spoke to Rafi, who immediately got hostile, laid into me with a string of F-words and other expletives, denying his guys ever could have taken it, and then accused me of "running some sort of scam"...what kind of scam that would be he refused to say. He claims the gun could have been stolen by "many others" who were also in the space...of course, no one else asked it they could have it but his guys, but he ignored that fact. The irony of all of this is that I assumed getting the gun back was a longshot, and I was not seeking to be paid for it either....I initially just wanted to let him know this happened, and that I would need to report it to the police. This company did a Excellent job staff was very courteous and respected my property . They left machines a few days dried my home very well . DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!! I hired them recently when I had a pipe burst in my recently renovated basement. Because so many pipes were bursting in Northern VA in mid February, I couldn't get any of the larger remediation companies to come to the house without waiting for days or even weeks. My plumbing company recommended this outfit which could come immediately. The first two days on the job they were fine, but things turned sour when they left their drying equipment for over a week and I had to make several calls to make appointments for them to come back and retrieve the equipment and finish the job. The were overwhelmed by the job. The elderly man they had tearig down and dismantling cabinetry and flooring that had been ruined was unable to handle the work load. He didn't want to handle heavy furniture or appliances which the work required. Then they did a pack-out and took my personal belongings to store in their warehouse. Then, when I reprimanded the worker tor mishandling an expensive piece of furniture, they became belligerent. The general manager called me and screamed at me in an extremely threatening tone. Then they walked out on the job.They still had all my personal belongings. Fortunately the Insurance company intervened and I was able to have my belongings retrieved by another company who had to come in and finish the job. THESE OUTFIT IS EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND THEY DO VERY SLOPPY WORK. read more

After a quick storm whipped thru and took off several of my shingles and a small portion of siding water leaked through the ceiling onto my bed during a heavy rainstorm. I called multiple companies to come to my home just to look at the damage and assess for repair and was repeatedly turned down. I called Flood Tech 3 and they came out within several hours. They were able to assess the damage and got to work the same day! I am very grateful that I called them they were prompt, courteous and cleaned up after themselves. read more

This business employs hands-on workers who present well, but is managed by employees who lack transparency and clarity on their services rendered and billing process. Our small non-profit incurred a cost over $16k because the company could not perform services in a timely manner. Also, they could not provide work orders or clocked hours for their services. They also claimed to do work that covered up to 70% more of the square footage damaged. When we disputed the charges and asked for clarification and integrity, we were met with interest charges instead of a relationship. We highly recommend this business be avoided, as it is high risk to consumers. read more

I had a long term leak that caused a substantial mold issue. Flood Tech 3 came out, did as minimal damage as possible, cleaned the mold out and took care of it so easily that my insurance investigator said immediately that while they would wait for the test results, it was obvious that everything was good to go for the repairs now. Additionally, I had to be out of town for a few days, and they had the key, were in a house full of personal belongings, etc... and there were no issues, everything was treated with care and was there when I got back. Ahmed kept me completely informed, while I was out of town, and again, with Mold there is always a problem, or difficulty, and yet the investigator came out, took a look, said everything was excellent, and this was backed up a few days later when the test results came back with zero mold in the house. Lastly, they were so careful about minimizing damage that my contractors doing the repair had a much easier time starting their portion of the work. I had a great experience and have recommended them to my insurance company for this type of work in the future. read more
