My pickup order is 3 days late (you're not supposed to go until they send an email confirming your order is ready) and these guys will simply not pick up their phone, I've been trying for two days and have spent at least 40-50 minutes on hold (via the automated phone tree). I love this place. There is such a wide selection of material for all of your renovation needs. I live in Sonoma County, and am rebuilding a home while trying to get the majority of our items second hand. When I'm having a hard time finding certain material I come down to floor and decor and I never leave disappointed. I came down this time to pick up 4,000+sq ft of flooring that I purchased during a previous visit. Andrew and Ivana (apologies, if this name is not correct but I want to be sure she gets credit too!) were great at loading up our pallets in the truck and trailer. While it was a heavy and low ride back home, we made it! Next, I wandered the tile aisle for our bathroom. Jason and Rod were a huge help and I left with my favorite tile!! Finally, we had to get the equipment to complete our DIY bathroom tile project. We worked with Emilee who was incredibly knowledgeable about different ways to tile, using old and new techniques. While there were frustrating moments during our realization of how much work we had ahead of us, Emilee remained patient and helpful. Had a great experience buying tile for our new bathroom. The last item we had to buy was tile grout. We asked Scott for help because we couldn't agree on a color. He explained in great detail how different grout colors would show up on the tile we were planning to purchase. Scott was very friendly and helpful. Wife and I were shopping for flooring materials and were constantly interrupted by the staff closing off aisles to move pallets. We tried to find some samples to bring home but the sample racks were mostly empty and mismatched. Wife found one example online she liked, no samples were available to order. And when we tried to call the store to talk to someone-anyone-about seeing a physical sample the phone rang endlessly, no matter which option we chose on the menu. We tried five different times. I visited Floor Décor in Millbrae today and I was amazed by how vast and organized it was. I asked for help and Fernando showed up in 2 minutes. What a kind, polite professional individual. Came here to look for flooring to redo our interior stairs. Unable to find what we were looking for (we had the name, brand, and sku number from the F&D website), and no one was willing to help us. In fact, one worker actually yelled at me when I asked for help finding a sample of the flooring we were looking for and told me to go home and order a sample online and have it sent to our house and that "you don't have to be here!" Wow. I guess I don't. ETA: Nick, the manager of the store, reached out to me following this review and apologized for our experience. He was appalled by the description of my interaction with the worker who basically told me off and said he would follow up on this. My husband insisted that we try to work with F&D (he loves a good deal!), so we are currently working with one of their flooring specialists on finding what we're looking for. I can not say enough nice things about the staff at this store they are so helpful. Sam helped me pick out so many samples for different types of wood flooring, floor tiles, back splash and countertops. He was very knowledgeable about everything I asked about all the different items I picked out. Since buying tiles and backsplash I have also attended the tile class and it was so helpful and after the class the teacher helped me pick out all my supplies needed to install my tiles. My husband and I were so happy to find a store that had so much inventory in stock. We were looking for a specific color for our backsplash and were happy to find what we wanted at Floor & Decor. They had so much to choose from that we were able to take home today. The prices were very reasonable. Compared to a quote we received for about $800 just for the tile, (I won't say where) we ended up paying about $150. We bought extra tile, and they do allow you to return any unused material. The staff was very friendly. (Forgive me if I forget or incorrectly spell your name) Mannu helped us around the store, gave her suggestions based on our kitchen, and didn't hover like some sales people do. It has been an absolute nightmare purchasing from floor & decor and I highly recommend anyone who is considering purchasing from them to go elsewhere. I ordered my flooring from them and that wasn't too bad because they were able to ship and deliver my vinyl planks within 2 weeks which is still within the timeframe I had in mind. The moulding (ie stair nose, t mold, reducer) are special order and it takes 21-28 days. I confirmed with the sales rep before placing the order that 21-28 days is calendar days and not business day and she confirmed it. When 28 calendar days past and I still have not received any updates on my order, I started following up and asking questions. Then another rep told me that it is business days and not calendar days. When I ask the workers for updates on my order, all they tell me is the system still shows it's being prepped by the vendor and they have no other info on it, including what the new eta is for the order. I ended up contacting the vendor myself to ask for an eta and asked for a tracking number so that I can see when the items are delivered to the floor and decor store. When the tracking number showed that my moulding has been delivered to the store, I went to the store to pick it up and long and behold, I was at the store for 4-5 hours waiting for them to find my moulding. They told me to come back 2 days later because they can't find it but the person that last touched my moulding will be working in 2 days. When I called them 2 days later, they told me they still can't find it. After a couple days later and a lot of back and forth, they finally found part of my order and told me the rest is lost and I'll need to place a replacement order. Now I'm stuck waiting for my replacement order which is another 21-28 days. I asked the ops manager at the store to ask the vendor the prioritize my order since it was their fault that they lost it. She told me she would and after a few follow up with the ops manager, she told me the vendor said they couldn't push up the delivery date. I felt this was fishy so I asked the ops manager for the PO number and I called the vendor directly and asked them why my order couldn't be prioritized and the vendor told me they never received any message to ask them to prioritize my order. I explained the entire situation to the vendor and the vendor immediately said they'll work on pushing up the delivery date of my order. I am extremely frustrated throughout this ordeal and I will never purchase from floor & decor again. I can't believe after the store lost my order, they have the audacity to lie to me and tell me they tried to ask the vendor to prioritize my order when they didn't do anything at all. read more

I purchased, porcelain for my kitchen floor and 2 bathroom as well as the stranded bamboo for my floors. Be prepared for the parking. It is a very small parking lot, and the spaces are tight. In fact, spaces are marked "compact." The store is new, clean, and fairly well stocked. There is so much to pick from if you are interested in flooring, or a new backsplash. The store offers many more options than your typical big box hardware store. The prices are very reasonable. I regret that we missed the Grand Opening. I heard they were giving away great coupons. We did find that the salesman did not really have knowledge of all the materials we needed for our small project. Thankfully, they have sheets that tell you, and thankfully my husband has a clue. We love the Floor and Decor. Please cool the commercials because it just makes us want to upgrade more. read more

We were in the midst of quickly renovating our bathroom before putting our house on the market. This place has a HUGE selection. It is also very popular and busy, so don't complain about the customer service. I've always found help, waited patiently like you do anywhere else. I was back and forth to this place to exchange or return left overs or in need of something else. Fernando was a great help. He looked up how many tiles I would need to do my shower wall. He also showed me an alternate tile that was less expensive and actually was more contemporary than what I had seen. There is a lot to pick from.
