We were in the midst of quickly renovating our bathroom before putting our house on the market. This place has a HUGE selection. It is also very popular and busy, so don't complain about the customer service. I've always found help, waited patiently like you do anywhere else. I was back and forth to this place to exchange or return left overs or in need of something else. Fernando was a great help. He looked up how many tiles I would need to do my shower wall. He also showed me an alternate tile that was less expensive and actually was more contemporary than what I had seen. There is a lot to pick from. Went to the Burlingame store at 9:00 AM to purchase an in-stock vanity. Checkout clerk was by herself, with no customers. The store was nearly empty. We asked if someone could get on of the vanities down with a forklift. She wandered off and returned to tell us that they would get it in 40 minutes. We asked if we could order it and return once it was retrieved; which she could not help us with. I went home and ordered it online for store pickup, but 2-1/2 hours has elapsed without any notification that the item is ready. My impression... Lazy, Disempowered, Apathetic. I'm not likely to purchase anything else and may just cancel this order if they don't get moving. read more

In early July, I went to visit Floor and Decor for the first time, I asked Mike (may be a manager??) in the customer service area some questions about the ordering and shipping but he was not friendly and made me feel I was bothering him. However, he was very friendly to the pros (contractors) who were in front of me. I was very disappointed by his attitude and frankly was not sure if I wanted to spend $5000 - $6000 at this store so I left. A couple of days later, I went back to Floor and Decor because I found a laminated floor online that I like so I went to purchase it. Thom from Flooring Dept. was very helpful and in answering all of my questions and assisted me with the order patiently. I was told the floors would be coming from LA distribution center arriving in late July, and they did!! Floor and Decor receiving dept. called and notified me the arrival of the shipment, and I came in to arrange for delivery. Emilee from Delivery Dept was very helpful and even got me the next day (Saturday) delivery even though we had passed the 2:00pm deadline. The delivery crew (third party) made three trips and delivered three pallets of floor (weight 5000 pounds!!) to us on Saturday. They were friendly and professional. I then went back to Floor & Decor to purchase tiles for a small bathroom. Kevin was very helpful in lifting 13 boxes of floor and wall tiles, plus additional 15 square feet of the shower base tiles, all in about 500+ pounds! No only Kevin push the cart to the cashier so I could pay, he even loaded all the tiles to my car!!! I would like to thank Thom, Emilee and Kevin for their excellent customer service and also made me feel like a valued customer. I will definitely shop at Floor and Decor again! read more

We are doing a build out in our garage and went to Floor and Decor to find tile, flooring and counter tops. Fernando met us at the door and stayed with us, guiding us through floors, countertops and tiles with patience and knowledge that made the trip a total win. I have been shopping all over the Bay Area for water proof wooden flooring and even placed an order and cancelled it at another flooring store until we were introduced to Floor and Decor which ironically is two miles away from my home. Floor and Decor have a great selection of all kinds of flooring(hardwood, vinyl, laminated), tiles, back splashes and other products. The beauty of it is they carry a wide selection of material onsite. And to top it off they have outstanding customer service. I would like to specially call out the sales manager who assisted us and his name was Dan. Dan was very knowledgeable about the products, listened to our requirements and helped us pick the right product for our kitchen remodeling project. The prices were reasonable too. He helped us load the material into the van! And they are open from 7 am to 9 pm unlike other places were they close at 5 pm. I went to a few other hardware store (the big brand ones Homedepot and Lowes) before I head to Floor and decor looking for threshold for my flooring. I went straight to the aisle where all the threshold and T molding are place and walk out not finding what I needed and of course with a little disappointment. When my wife saw the arrival of a new vinyl floor product, we darted to the store to check it out. We did not see it on the shelf anywhere, but luckily for us Thomas (or Thom) found it hidden behind a wall. He was knowledgeable being a former contractor and gave us confidence to purchase several boxes on the spot. He also alerted us to the appropriate underlayment needed as we were about to choose the wrong one. His recommendation prevented the mistake which would have led to higher home heating loss and costs. We were pleased with Thom's service from start to finish (he even came out to the loading area to personally load the boxes in our car and provided extra installation tips, not to mention friendly jokes that just made our day). I went there to get some more tiles a couple days ago. Since I was on my way home, I dropped by to get some more tiles. Thought it would be a quick run. However, the floor didn't have enough so Scott, who works on the floor, tried his best to get me the tiles as soon as he could since I told him I needed to head back home for a work call. He could have asked me to come back to pick them up but he didn't. He told me he would try his best to get them for me since the tiles were piled by all the way in the back at the warehouse. Went here based on recommendation that there's a huge flooring selection. I was looking for vinyl plank tile look and they have all kinds. What I am very much impressed is the Store layout and display! The display alone is well presented, showing the price tag for each and every samples that they have. They also have Clearance materials at a very cheap price! Employees are always there when you need them! I've had an opportunity to have a conversation with Lizzy, she is very nice and informed me the floorings that they have, the availability and walk me through all the brands, explained the concepts of flooring! The display is very easy to visualize because they present it in a size that is clear enough to depict how will it look like when laid on the floor! Very good idea on whoever thought of that! They sell samples too by the piece! Forget Big Box Stores, this is the way to go for all your kitchen, bath and flooring needs! Store is really clean, fully stocked, well organized and employees are available when needed and knowledgeable too! Will recommend this Store, huge selection at the right price! I wrote a review on 6/30/20 on Fernando, but this time I'd like to write one on review Thom (as it says on his name tag, but short for Thomas). My husband and I went to F & D on 7/8/20 to make a return bc we got an incorrect color on something and to buy other things. Thom asked if we needed help. He was great. Above and beyond, service! He took the the time to listen and explain things to my husband, he offered/suggested some good advise that my husband will take into account for our remodel and Thom was very sincere/genuine in wanting to help us. Its always a please running into someone who is knowledgeable & knows what he's talking about. He walked around the store with us ( huge store) showing us all the different options, walked us to the register when we were ready to check out and helped us load our truck. So far, the last 2 experiences at F&D have been amazing. You dont realize how much that just makes your day. Kudos to Fernando & Thom for making us want to continue shopping at F & D! read more

We went in on a Saturday at 9 am when there was barely anyone at the store. My wife had noted down all the items we planned to buy online but we preferred to order at the store so that we could have any questions regarding the availability of those items addressed in person. The sales associate was rude to my wife, she was impatient in entering our items into the register. When she got to the last item on our list, she told us they have only 55 of those in stock at the store (but we only needed 27 of them) and therefore we should order it online. Needless to say, her explanation made no sense, but she then wanted to clear out all the items from our cart and pushed us to go order everything online instead. It took only 5 minutes to enter the 4-5 items we needed (worth $1500+) to order. There were only two others behind us waiting for checkout but that's how lines work, everyone waits for their turn. The sales associate was rushing us. If there are other customers in the line that you are concerned about, perhaps you should open a new register for checkout, not cut off the customer who is paying for their order. We decided to buy the rest of the items on our list ($2000+) from another business instead. We are a regular at this store but their customer service leaves a bad taste. read more

They were very courteous and profession, especially Mr. Thomas at the flooring department. After a pleasant and positive experience with our kitchen flooring and tiles in February, we came back for the bathroom and basement tiles and flooring. Lynn thoughtfully coordinated the tiles, floors, trims; and went above & beyond with ideas/suggestions. Thomas and Scott offered great service the day I bought the flooring - from selecting the unripped/unopened boxes to loading - all with friendly smiles. I appreciated the experience of being able to shop from good selections and speaking to "real" available people who can take care of your needs. The only concern that was brought up by our contractor who picked up the tiles was that he had to wait for 45 minutes to receive the order that was placed days before and was supposedly ready. read more

For someone like me who knows absolutely nothing about this subject Julie was a Godsend. When I walked into the store, I felt like as if I was my dad who tried to pick out a pair of Christian Louboutin pump to match for her daughter's prom dress. I walked around the store like a mad person until I found Julie. Julie was friendly, knowledgeable and kind. She could tell I had no idea and gave me some helpful knowledge. She then voluntarily offered to find me a cart to make sure I did not have to carry the tiles by myself as they were heavy. I thought I could just carry two boxes of tiles easily(Duh! another evidence that I truly had no clue). I really felt fortunate that Julie helped me.
