I love their selection of tiles and marble. It is a little overwhelming, but I used their free design services and worked with Manal, who is very talented. I couldn't believe it was free! She helped me with my bathroom design and narrowing down my tile/marble choices. She also helped me pick out paint and grout colors. Many of the displays in the store were created by her. She has a great sense of color and design and uses different textures and patterns in her displays. I highly recommend her! We came in about an hour from closing to pick out some tiles and there was barely any workers helping out on the floor. Luckily we ran into Steve. As we were walking through the isles, he was the only one helping out many customers. We asked him to find one of the two 36x36 tiles they carried. Unfortunately they were still in pallets and not on display. Steve tried to help us get a forklift operator to bring down the pallet but since it was a Friday night they told him there was none available as the forkers were off already. read more

My family and I came here in search of flooring and also two tile patterns for our fireplaces. The selection is of course incredible and the design ideas up front are stunning and inspiring. But because there's SO MUCH, it's overwhelming. That's when Thom stepped in to save the night. Walked in feeling overwhelmed by the sheer size of the store & was browsing for a few minutes until an associate Johnny came to the rescue, I was paranoid the sales would just leave me after a second but no, he stuck around and enabled all decisions to be made. Worst customer service at floor decor Burlingame!! I wish I could rate this store less than 1 star. -10 stars for this business. I started a new construction from floor up in 2019 and we primarily bought items from this location (which means we spent a LOT of $$$ at this business), however from the beginning of our experience at this store has been a huge headache to say the least. They were eager to get us to select and buy items however when it came time for pick up here are the significant issue we endured: - first day of pick up, we waited 3 hours for them to pull 2 small boxes of our multi piece order when they said it would only take 30 mins!! - We bought (200) tiles of the same type however they came in different batches with completely different colors and there was no way we could lay them down side by side. They were completely different shades and no one cared to alert us. This delaying our project timeline - Delivered either damaged product or incorrect product which delayed our timeline of completion once again. - every single time we visit this store and have a complaint or need a correction, most of the employees do not wish to help at all even the leadership, they always give us an excuse of something like "the tariffs caused this" but simple things like accurately knowing your quantity and location of your inventory should have nothing at all to do with tariffs. It's like they think their customer at idiots. - latest issue we came across was last week, we stopped by the store at 6pm the store closed at 7pm and we had already confirmed that a tile was available at the Burlingame store before we stopped by, however when we got there the tile was in their warehouse and there was no one avail to get it according to them. How do you have open business hours but no one can get into the ware house? The employee called Over her manager, GINA (who is so unpleasant and unprofessional in general I mean she talks down to her employees in front of customers over basic questions they ask her) back to the employee who called Gina over: Gina says they don't even carry that item, but we just heard over the radio that this tile is in their warehouse and proceeds to tell us they don't have an accurate count of items as said online. Then literally in front of us the employee she said she has to go soo... and they both stared at each other and basically made it clear no one wants to go back there and retrieve the tile for us to buy. I mean this is pretty ridiculous being that we always travel 50 miles all the way to Burlingame and get this type of service. The only people who help us actively at this store are: Mike, Fernando and I believe another employee who's name is Brandon that works in pro-services(he's recently moved here from Georgia! If I have his name wrong) so a hugeeee thank you to them. We even reached out to the store manager NICK who did not want to help in any way and now won't ever take a call from us unless we use an alias name. I mean he's the CEO of Floor Decor's son so you would think he would be more invested in running a better business. The Milpitas store has given us much better service and understanding, if you must shop at this business, try the Milpitas store and not this horrible location. read more

After purchasing thousands of dollars worth of materials from Floor & Decor, a major issue was discovered. One order of the tiles purchased were not uniform in cutting. The tiles were supposed to be 8x8 inch but some were shorter and some larger. One would not expect this considering they are 8x8 inch and not variable sizes. We didn't think to measure the tiles before starting the job and after laying them realized that the lines for grout were off. We ended up having to pull up all of the tiles which is clearly a waste of time and effort. I attempted to return the entire order including some cut tiles. I was able to return all of the tiles except for the ones cut. Out of 400+ tiles there were probably 30 tiles that were cut or had a layer of thinset on the bottom. I told the salesperson about the issue and he proceeded to discuss with the manager at the location. He came back and said that they advised the tiles couldn't be returned. It sort of felt like I was at a car dealership with the salesperson talking to the finance dept. That also being another ridiculous system. The least this manager could do was get out of their chair and discuss the issue with a customer. The tiles were $1.19 each so we are talking a maximum of $40. I then told the salesperson that I would never shop at Floor & Decor again. I have never had this issue at home depot or lowes. If there's an issue they make the situation right. So for $40 and a manager that doesn't understand customer service you've now lost a family of customers for life. That and having to see this review. I am not one for writing reviews unless I'm very happy with the experience or confused with how misaligned a business can be concerning customer service. I don't need the $40. It's the principal. Also please address your online to in store inventory system. We went to 3 stores to get tiles that were supposedly at the other 2. I can't understand how in 2022 that your inventory can say that 100's of tile are in store stock yet they are not indeed at the store. read more

Floor and Decor has some great deals and their customer service is consistently outstanding. Wayne, in particular, really went out of his way to help us out when we came to buy a large quantity of flooring for our remodel. We walked in knowing what we wanted and had everything purchased and loaded in the car in under a half an hour. So! Fast! I was so impressed with his friendliness, care, and prompt assistance that far exceeded my expectations for the amount of time/energy/overall hassle I'd assumed the experience would be at such a large warehouse-type of establishment. I have a mixed review of this place. There's some good and I some very bad. 1. Never buy countertops from them. We bought two slabs and they ended up being different colors when we installed them. So, we had to buy an entirely new countertop because they also didn't have any other of the same one in stock and it would have been about four weeks before they got one slab in, which was a significant issue when doing a remodel and you are on a timeline. When I emailed a photo and talked to the manager, I was told that's the way it is... so, there's no attempt to get the same batch for quartz or to make sure the customer has a matching product on the front end and nothing they could do on the back end except the suggestion of come in and spend more money and we can discount that. Which they did give me a minimal amount if tiles when I cane back at another time, but it did not make up for the huge issue we have with our countertops. 2. Tiles - they have a great selection of tiles. They boast that they are less expensive than others, I think they are comparable but they do have a wide range of choices. Not one person helped us over the 5-6 times we ended up going to the store to buy various materials without me having to ask for help and wait for 10 minutes for someone to show up and help me even on a weekday morning when the store was relatively empty. Would I go here again? I would buy tiles, I would not buy countertops or probably anything that I actually need their team to help with a service (wood floors, etc) read more

This place is incredible. I do not know how may times I have gone into tile companies and all they had was the product on display with not ability to get samples. At Floor and Decor everything is displayed and samples are very easy to purchase. I will only use this store for all of my tile and flooring needs. I also was able to schedule a 1 hour design consultant appointment. Perla assisted my husband and me and she was great. She has a great eye for products once she is aware of the look and feel you are trying to achieve in your home. F&D is great as long as you don't have defective pieces. They don't want to deal with anything related customer service. And if you have a big project going on. You are screwed. I called the store before returning curved bamboo floorings and they said to bring them in. Once I got to the store, they refused to return them because they were open and they can't sell them back to other people. Why would they sell them back to someone else? They are defective. No answer. They just gave me an obscure email address and talk to them. The two managers I talked to were Julie and Quentin. They were both incompetent. read more

It really pains me to write this review. I visited this location with my boyfriend several months ago and had a really magical visit. Even though it's a 45+ minute drive (one way) from my home, they have a great selection and creative inspiration rooms that help with renovation planning/ideation. Based on that first visit, I was super excited to return again. Well, last night did not go well. At all. We arrived at 8:25pm, about 35 minutes prior to closing. Within just 5 minutes, I found the floor tiles that are a perfect fit for my project. However, there were not enough tiles on the floor, so we searched for someone to help us. It was very hard to find any employees, but we eventually flagged someone down who was pushing a cart around with stock items. He was apparently the "manager" but that was not clear to us. He called a customer service rep to come help us find more boxes of the tiles from the back room. She scanned the label and disappeared for about 20 minutes. When she returned, she said they did have the tiles in stock in the back room, but since it was 10 minutes before closing, she couldn't get to it in time and that we'd have to come back the next day. WHAT?!?!? I reiterated that it was a 1.5 hour roundtrip drive to my home and begged her to find a way to gather the tiles. She refused. Knowing that they were literally in the back room, I asked to see the manager. After waiting 10 additional minutes, low and behold the same guy who "helped" us earlier came out. I told him our predicament and he coldly said there was nothing he could do and that we'd have to come back the next day. He also offered to arrange delivery, which he guessed would "cost well over $100," for 3-small boxes of tile costing $250 in total. If that wasn't bad enough. We drove home empty-handed, having prepaid for the tiles, with a plan to return when we could spare another 1.5 hours. But, to add insult to injury, they emailed me about 15 minutes after walking in my front door, at 10:11pm, saying that they had already fulfilled the order and that I could pick up anytime in the morning, as early as 8am. So, to recap, they sent me home empty handed, and still picked the order about an hour after I left. That is such unacceptable customer service, I just had to write this review. Now, I had to pay a Lugg $90 to drive it up to SF. How could a "manager" oversee such ludicrous behavior. I was going to give 1 star, but they do have great stuff in a nicely laid out store. But COME ON, you can't treat customers like this if you expect them to return. read more

The materials available are great, and I have spent a fortune here renovating six bathrooms in my three unit building, plus outdoor decks. That said, they off THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever experienced as a professional interior designer. The person who helped me on the floor was somewhat helpful, but the cash register check out individual was as rude as can be, impatient, and pushy when I was placing an order over $2,000. Then, after warning me strenuously that I could not keep my materials in storage longer than two weeks, they would not allow me to charge the delivery over the phone, despite the fact that it would be the exact same name and address that I used to place the order. Does that make any sense at all? That I would have to drive all the way down to Burlingame to run a credit card for the delivery charge? NO NO and NO. read more
