They were about to do the small sink but fortunately I was onsite and caught the issue in time. They made it work with a proper size sink. The price was similar to what I'd paid several years ago for a similar sized job so I would consider their overall offering to be very competitively priced.

Alex was a prime helper who also did a great job with touch up work and plastering. Vicente was at our house every day for six weeks, sometimes working alone and other times working with as many as five or six crew members. KZ was one of the reasons my recent remodel finished in four weeks…read more I started at KZ early in the process after visiting a few other stores and feeling both underwhelmed by their selections and overwhelmed by figuring out what I actually needed. On that first visit I met Bailey, who ended up becoming a key part of the project. I came in with measurements from my contractor, rough layout ideas, and a general sense of what I wanted: drawers instead of mostly base cabinets, quartz countertops, and a way to turn a small, dysfunctional kitchen into something thoughtfully designed with proper prep space. Bailey took those requests and my contractor's initial mockups and developed a layout. I was immediately impressed by his thoughtfulness and attention to detail. He also included things I would not have known to ask for, including a blind corner pull out "peanut" cabinet that turned dead space into some of the most usable storage in the kitchen. He explained his decisions when asked and found solutions as needed, for example suggesting a microwave cabinet when I mentioned not knowing where to put that. I left excited about the project and hopeful it could actually come together. He was consistently responsive to my many questions afterward. He sent estimates for different options so I could compare costs, such as a 4-inch versus full-height backsplash, and shared renderings of the cabinet and countertop combination. Seeing the space rendered that early was a significant moment for me. His involvement continued well beyond placing the order. As the project progressed, Bailey made sure everything was delivered properly, communicated directly with my contractor, answered questions as they came up, kept suggesting ways to improve the project, and made sure everything was set up correctly for countertop templating. The fabricator, Rafael, was also excellent and did a beautiful job. He and Bailey suggested adding another slab of quartz so we could do a full waterfall on the exposed ends of the counter. I took their advice and I am very glad I did. It made a huge difference and made that part of the design feel complete. I was also happy with KZ's pricing and selection. I visited four cabinet and countertop stores, and KZ had the best overall selection I found. Their prices were extremely competitive without sacrificing features or quality. The cabinets have plywood boxes, soft-close doors and drawers, and full-extension drawers, and they arrived fully assembled rather than flat-packed. My contractor had specifically told me not to buy RTA cabinets and these were straightforward for him to install. All of my other interactions with KZ were positive too. Delivery drivers called ahead, other employees in the store were helpful, and the factory expedited part of my order for an additional charge when my fast schedule required it. One thing worth mentioning for anyone considering KZ is the type of experience they provide. This is not a full-service design firm where someone makes every selection and manages every detail for you. I had to be a little assertive on my first visit because there were a limited number of design/sales reps available, but once I connected with Bailey the experience was excellent. You will get the most out of KZ if you come in with measurements and some idea of what you want, are willing to look around and give input, and are okay following up with questions. When I did reach out, Bailey was very responsive. Some practical things to know: they do not offer financing, some costs such as fabrication are settled separately and in cash, and delivery is extra if you cannot pick up the order yourself. Mine was around $500 for 18 cabinets plus panels and hardware, delivered about an hour away. I think some of the savings come from this model, but it helps to have the right expectations. My entire remodel took about four weeks, including a full primary bathroom and extensive changes throughout the house, with the KZ order placed roughly one week before construction began. A lot of the credit goes to my excellent contractor, but KZ's responsiveness, timely deliveries, and efficient work were a major factor in keeping things moving. It was night and day compared with buying my other materials through large home improvement stores. When I had questions or concerns, it usually took a simple text to Bailey to resolve them. I am super happy with the finished kitchen and with my experience at KZ. I recommend them to anyone looking for cabinets or countertops, and I am especially grateful to Bailey and Rafael for how much care they put into my project.

The large attached warehouse area with a huge number of countertop materials was very impressive to behold. But again Alfonso could quickly edit it for me to a few choices. Unfortunately, what started as a positive experience turned into one of the most frustrating vendor experiences of my entire remodel. I worked with Alfonso throughout the process. Initially, he was helpful and knowledgeable about the slabs and offered some good suggestions. Unfortunately, the experience changed significantly as the project progressed. Communication became extremely difficult. It was often very hard to reach Alfonso by phone or email, and I repeatedly had to follow up just to get invoices, answers to questions, or updates on my orders. There were times when I ultimately had to drive to the showroom simply to get information that should have been easily handled by phone or email. With an expensive, time-sensitive remodel, this was incredibly frustrating and a significant waste of time. There were also several interactions with Alfonso that I found inappropriate and uncomfortable. I consistently kept my interactions with him professional and made an effort to maintain my distance whenever I visited the showroom. As a customer, I was disappointed that I felt the need to do this in the first place. On top of the communication issues, there were multiple delays because orders were not placed in a timely manner, which created additional problems for my project timeline. The most disappointing situation involved one of my porcelain slabs, valued at approximately $1,600. ANS was supposed to deliver one slab to my fabricator and pick up another. Unfortunately, the driver did not have the appropriate documentation or signatures for the exchange. When the slab was not accounted for afterward, ANS initially accused my fabricator of not returning it. Despite this, resolving the issue was extremely difficult. My fabricator and I had to repeatedly contact ANS management and provide information to try to get the situation resolved. It ultimately took nearly FOUR MONTHS before the issue was finally settled. During this entire situation, Alfonso did not help to help resolve the problem, and I had to do much of the follow-up myself. In the end, ANS told us that they had actually found the missing slab in their own warehouse. After nearly four months of frustration, the slab had apparently been there all along. I found the entire situation extremely disappointing, particularly given the size of my overall order and the amount of time and money I had invested with the company. I do want to recognize Ron, who was aware of many of the issues I was experiencing and was the one person at ANS who consistently tried to help move things forward. I believe Ron may primarily be in an administrative role, but whenever Alfonso wasn't following up, Ron made an effort to connect with me, check on parts of my project, and follow up on issues--even when they were outside what I understood to be his responsibility. I truly appreciated his effort and willingness to help. He was the only person at ANS who consistently made me feel like someone was actually trying to move things along. Mistakes can happen during a large remodel, and I understand that. What matters is how a company communicates, takes responsibility, and works to resolve problems when they occur. Unfortunately, I did not feel that happened here. This was especially disappointing because I had placed a substantial order with ANS and expected a much higher level of communication, organization, and customer service. Instead, I spent far too much time following up on basic requests, dealing with delays, and trying to resolve an issue that ultimately turned out to have been caused by ANS's own handling of the slab. Based on my experience, I would not choose to work with ANS again. If you do decide to purchase from them, I strongly recommend keeping detailed records of your orders, deliveries, invoices, and communications and staying very involved throughout the process and do not work with Alfonso. Unfortunately, this was one vendor experience that made an already stressful remodel significantly more difficult.
