Fernando was super helpful! I was prepared to load the tile myself into the cart but he came right over and started helping. He scanned it all was we loaded it and so payment too no time. He also enthusiastically helped me bring it all into the car! The only reason I'm giving 4 versus 5 stars is because in the 4 times I visited the store before final purchase I had trouble getting help. Everyone is busy working with other people and get snapped up quick. I feel like there should be more people on the floor. read more

The store seemed understaffed that day, so I was waiting over an hour for my tile. Scott was on a break, but he jumped right in to help me. Very well organized and reasonably priced store. Majid from Design Services was friendly and helpful, figured out the look I wanted in the design, picked out tiles that pair with each other, and sketched out a couple of options quickly. The store carries a nice selection of well-made tiles that follow current trends in design and most of them In stock which made our contractor very happy. We came in to buy hardwood flooring and my wife had a tough time deciding due to the vast selections. Fernando was very helpful and very patient. After about an hour, we finally narrowed it down to 2 samples. To make it easier to choose, I decided to assemble a small section of both flooring samples and had my wife carefully walk barefoot over them. Fernando was very accommodating to let us do that! I hardly ever write reviews but this time feel compelled to do so since my experience with Thom at the Burlingame Floor and Decor was so remarkable. I ran into Thom while looking for hardwood flooring at this store. His knowledge about all the flooring was really impressive. He was so well versed in all the products and their advantages and disadvantages. Even more notable was Thom's attitude. The computer showed that the store had the flooring in its inventory that I liked but not where the inventory was located. Thom took all the measures to ensure that the product was found so that I could buy it. When the amount in the store fell short of the large amount I needed, Thom looked up all the information on when more of the product would be coming in and how I could get it. He did not give up until he made sure I had everything I needed. Floor and Decor for sure would not have had this sale (and it was a big order) if it was not for Thom - Thom's management should give him recognition for that. From reviewing the product with me to fulfilling my order to entering the information for billing purposes into the system, Thom stood by me all the way. Now I always seek his help when I am at the store and he makes my purchases so much easier and fun! Thom also introduced me to Rod in the process of fulfilling my order and the designer Lynn, both of who also were remarkable in knowledge and attitude. Wow, this seems like an impersonal big box store, but I got very good customer service. Be sure to ask for Scott. He knows his stuff and was super helpful and sweet for the two visits it took for me to decide on my marble tile. He even called around to check at other stores for additional inventory. My wife and I are renovating an old travel trailer (circa 1968), and we need new flooring. We looked at flooring at Home Depot but couldn't get ANY help whatsoever. So we decided to venture over Floor & Decor in Burlingame. Huge store and at first seemed as though we were going to have to fend for ourselves (which would not be too good since we know next to nothing about flooring, especially the modern stuff). We asked someone for help and they quickly summoned Thom (yep, that is how he spells his first name, with that "h"). Thom was fun and a wisecracker (in the good sense), yet he was also knowledgeable and super patient with us all the way. Never once tried to upsell us. The whole experience at Floor and Decor has been wonderful. The selection of products is truly impressive. However what sets F&D apart is the staff and their attitude. Everyone there was friendly, knowledgable, helpful, and attentive. What they were not was pushy or impatient. We never felt pressure to buy, nor did our indecision make the staff less willing to help us. Thomas from the floor department was the ideal representative. He possessed all the above attributes; assisted us from beginning to end (i.e. loading the car) and left us feeling like we made a friend. Wish my experience was as positive as others. Unfortunately, it hasn't been good. I placed an order for some flooring last month. Logging into my online account to check the status is useless as there is no way to determine how far along the order is moving. I spoke to someone on the phone a few days ago (hoping to get a status) and they said they would have someone call me back. Nobody called. Tried calling today (multiple times) and it just keeps ringing until it disconnects me. Not sure what I can do at this point. read more

I fell in love with this store the moment I walked in it. Everything is super organized, easy to find and very affordable. There are many options to choose (way more than Home Depot or Lowe's). Be prepared to spend hours in this store :). I can tell this store has great management. It's visually appealing and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Guido our sales rep was awesome. I went to Floor & Decor in Burlingame after visiting many other stores, looking for tile and flooring. I was amazed at the selection and how the store was so well organized. Everything is laid out so that you can see it and touch it. I was there on 2 occasions and no less than 6 of the employees offered to help and give advice. I was elated. At the other home improvement stores, I can never get help, I can never find the item I'm looking for and the selection is smaller than what the Floor & Décor store has to offer. Another huge bonus that Floor & Décor has over the "other guys" is their free design consultation. Manal is one of the Design Consultants and she is amazing!! On my first visit to the store, Fernando who is one of the guys on the floor, is the reason I came back. He took his time to help me look for tile and he even helped me load my car. Then I went back to look at backsplash for my kitchen remodel. One of the employees told me to talk to their Design Consultant. I went to the Design Consultant desk where I found Manal who helped me pick out some beautiful backsplash for my kitchen. I had been looking for the right backsplash for months and she picked out the perfect one for my kitchen. The entire team at Floor & Décor is amazing. This is my new one stop shop. read more
