What the salesperson FAILED to tell us was that the floor model was SIGNIFICANTLY softer that the new one she would recieve because hundreds, if not thousands of people have broken it down. The matress was delivered and immediately we realized that it was hard, like rock hard. Like sleeping on a cement slab. She called and got their standard auto reply of "you just need to break it in" and their "sorry, youre outta luck - too bad for you" attitude. The time it would take to break this matress in to even half of what the floor model felt like would take years. Its completely unrealistic, shes just 1 person! Whats worse is she isnt able to get comfortable and is having lingering effects from loss of sleep and physical pain. She had to buy an expensive mattess topper which slightly helps but still.... NOT THE POINT and not 100% remedied. We tried emailing Living Spaces customer help, customer service and even a corporate email we found and they all bounced back. Its clear they have no intention of helping us. Fortunately there are consumer laws but its a shame we have to even go in that direction. It would have been nice and more importantly it would have been fair for them to not only advise of the difference in feel but remedy the situation by allowing for a courtesy exchange. Jeez, even the ability to correspond would be nice instead of having to resort to alternative recourses. Literally any other mattress chain allowes for at least a 30 day exchange. Today my husband and I went into the store in Burlingame to buy kitchen backsplash. We were intimidated by the project since we have little tile experience.. until Fernando saw us struggling and came to the rescue. He was excellent. He got us a cart, showed us all the tiles and how the finishing pieces, grout and tools work and go together. He was patient and informative and had us out the door feeling prepared with all the products we needed for our project. I can not recommend him enough. We were glowing the whole drive home from the unexpectedly smooth experience. When the three of us showed up at the register with the full cart, Fernando had already entered our order from his handheld device and all we had to do was confirm with the woman at the register and pay. And then.... Fernando even walked us to the car and helped us load the car. This was our second trip to the store. The first time we went to the store we got excellent guidance from Sam too. We picked out samples and considered some of the thing that Sam suggested. This place is well worth the trip. Enjoy! read more

Dear Floor & Decor, I have recently, visited the Burlingame, CA store to purchase flooring for a project at home. The staff member that helped us was Thom. He was very helpful with the type of product I had purchased before and I wanted to reorder more. He was courteous, patient, and he made sure I had all the products I needed like the subfloor and the T-molding. As a Property Manager, I normally go to Floor & Decor due to materials I can not find in other stores. Bathroom wall & floor tiles are needed for my project. Steve, Alex, & Fernando were able to assist & help me on different times. Your Human Resources Staff who hired these 3 employees should be commended as well. Floor & Decor of Burlingame has been very, very helpful to us in our project to renovate a senior- living apartment 2800 miles away in Massachusetts. We came here because they have a sister store near our destination, and we needed to select materials. I went to Floor and Decor to buy a butcher block table top but I couldn't find it. I asked Thomas for help and he showed me where the samples were and he checked if they were in stock. He also gave me advice on how to protect and maintain the tabletop. He took the time to show me which oil to use. Story right out of pretty woman, the movie…read more.. Went to this store and inquired about a fixture. Took 2 weeks to get a response and the guy says "we have many people who do their whole house with us. I don't have the time for a small order" That 'small order' was about $7K. Ended up going to another store nearby. My total order was over 100K.
