This place may be better for contractors rather than owners. Service from the Decorator Adviser was sparse. Seemed unprepared for our visit, simply showing the various products and explaining features/benefits of each. This was helpful but I expected more. I was especially disappointed to retrieve a few additional items omitted from the original order. Had to drive over to Tomball, then we could proceed. Project team showed up on time and finished the 3 bedroom and closet, tore out carpet, and installed super vinyl flooring during the next 9 hours. Installation went well and I returned unused materials with no restocking fee, no questions, and a full refund. read more

Buyer beware, Floor & Decor does not stand behind their flooring the sale. The store display shows you what you believe you are purchasing but the reality is the flooring might have defects that show up after you have it installed. Floor & Decor will have you pay to have it inspected, then when the inspector states the flooring is defective, Floor & Decor does not honor the warranty. 8k in wood flooring, been fighting with Floor & Decor to do the right thing and all we will get back is the 400.00 inspection fee if we sign a disclaimer that our claim was resolved and we won't sue. I walked in and had no appointment at the end of the day and Mrs. Virginia Sable in design center was so helpful and accommodating. She took her time with me and gave me a thorough estimate on my materials and helped with design. Everyone was very friendly there, especially Mrs. Virginia. We have been looking for vinyl flooring for our home, lots of research and visiting different stores. Came to F&D and we met Drake and Zeke. Drake was great, very helpful and greeted us right away when he saw us looking at flooring. We had some specific questions and he called over for Zeke. Zeke was awesome, he knows flooring, answered all our questions and then some. He even does the box knife cut on the tiles to show how resistant to scratching it is. He gave us fantastic detailed information, I mean he could do the marketing for the company, it helped so much. Both guys had great outgoing personality's and gave us the best customer service. Recently, we completed a master bathroom remodel. We had signed the contract in May 2022 and our contractor requested that we go ahead and purchase the tile by mid June. Unfortunately the project did not get started until late July and was completed 23 September, 2022. We had a lot of wall tile leftover and I went back to Floor & Decor to return the unused tile for a refund of approximately $400. Purchase Date: 6/11/22 Attempted return Date: 9/29/22 (a total of 110 days) The clerk explained to me that it had been more than 90 days and that I was NOT entitled to a refund. Instead, I would have to accept store credit. I reluctantly agreed even though the product was in perfect condition and could be returned to stock with no issues. As she was processing the credit, she suddenly asked for my driver's license. She examined it for a minute and then informed me that the credit was denied. She said, "Because of privacy issues, I cannot discuss why your request for credit was denied. If you would like to know the reason, call this number". She handed me a receipt with a phone number and transaction ID from a company called "The Retail Equation". Apparently, Floor & Decor employs this company the prevent fraud and abuse. Talk about making me feel like a criminal! I assumed there must be some mistake. I couldn't get through on TRE's phone, however, I was able to request a "Return Activity Report" which I just received. The report contains all of the information regarding the return of product and the price I would have received if the refund had been allowed to process. There was absolutely no indication why I was denied a refund or credit...no fraud, no abuse, nothing! I resent the treatment I received at Floor & Decor. There was no reason to deny me credit and only a flimsy nonsensical reason to deny me a full refund. Tacitly implying that they suspected a fraudulent return was off the charts. Looks like they just don't appreciate my business... Please note: At this time there is a Class Action Lawsuit against "The Retail Equation". Many large retail establishments use this company to get out of refunds and credits (Advance Auto Parts, Athleta, Bath & Body Works, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, Burlington, Buy Buy Baby, CVS, Dick's Sporting Goods, Famous Footwear, Floor & Decor, Gap, Home Depot, Old Navy, Sephora, TJ Maxx, and Victoria's Secret). I learned after making our second purchase that Sam has been promoted. Which we understand why after she suggestions.
