I heard a lot of good things about Flora's alterations, I called her and she let me come right away, I had some jeans that I need tailored bc they were too long, I thought they would be tailored, she had me hold them up, and she cut them with scissors, she made me try them on, I paid $10 for them to be cut with scissors I was a little upset but not too much bc they ended up being fine, I had some other jeans I was going to bring her to fix that were also too long but I didn't want to pay some one $10 to cut them, I ended cutting them myself and cut them too short :( read more

I called around 11am to ask about cinching in my waist on my Levi jeans. I spoke with a young man. He said just to let him know when I was thinking about coming by. I asked if he could do same day and the pricing. I wanted to make sure that the jeans could be adjusted based on my weight. Which he informed me the cost could be $5 to $15. I brought a pair of pants to show a previous alteration that I had on another Levi Jean. A woman greeted me. She took one look at it and said I can do that didn't even have to put on the pants. You can tell that she has been doing this for a while because all she needed to do was look at was my waist and started to do the alteration right in front of me, the process took about 10 minutes. Friendly, fast, cheap family shop. Dona was even able to eyeball my tailoring of my waist without me trying it on and got it right, showing she's been doing this for a long time. This is definitely a place for quick fixes and simple tailoring. She took my expensive jeans in at the waist with some super simple stitch work and left the jeans in tact (no cutting) so that I can always undo the tailoring if I need to in the future. Not the prettiest of tailoring but she got the jeans to actually fit me so that I can actually wear them! i went to her to get the waistband on a pair of shorts taken in and left with the shorts worse off (pics attached). i requested a refund but was told i could only be refunded in cash and in person, even though i paid through venmo, do not wish to return to her shop, or have the time to. i have yet to receive a response requesting my refund electronically. while she was nice during the service and worked fast, i have been made to feel as if i'm inconveniencing her when it was my time and money that was wasted. i ended up taking the shorts to a different tailor, which cost even more money. *update*: i was refunded. the shorts fit perfectly it was the execution that i did not like read more
